Hello, this is my first post on here.
My samsung galaxy note 3 on verizon is the first android phone I have had. I tried to root it earlier today following a guide online and now my phone is stuck in ODIN mode.
I have tried to follow various guides I have found including guides on this site to get it out of softbricked mode and nothing has worked, Could someone please guide me through my specific phone for me. I have spent hours searching, watching guides, and downloading different files to run through odin and not one has managed to get me anywhere.
Thanks for your help.
Did you try re-flashing stock imgs through odin or kies?

Do you recall what guide you followed to root? Have you tried removing the battery and if so, does the phone boot normally or go right back to download mode?
Not sure if this is your issue or not, but if you entered Odin mode from the normal OS, (e.g. with "adb reboot-bootloader"), the phone will always reboot into Odin Mode if you soft - cycle the phone (by holding the power button down continuously for more than 8 seconds or so).
So, try doing this: with the phone in Odin Mode, pull the battery. Wait 10 seconds, re-insert the battery, and attempt to restart the phone in recovery mode by simultaneously holding down the Vol-Up, Home, and Power button.
If you want decent help you should describe not only the current behavior of your phone, but also the exact steps you performed to get your phone into this condition & the release version of software on the phone before you started your rooting attempt.
Note: if your phone is soft-bricked, restoring it via Odin might be the only recourse... so the fact that it boots into Odin/Download Mode is in some ways a positive thing.

Hello, I have the same problem, was trying to root my brand new Note 3 using the guide listed here using root de la Vega but every time that I run odin got the failed message now I am stuck on Odin mode, every time that I restart the phone goes to Odin mode... you mentioned that restoring via Oding might be the only option, if so could you help me with that, or redirect me to where I can find the guide to do that. Thanks in advance

It is common that folks that are new to this stuff don't know how to ask questions in the best manner. So I thought I would illustrate with two key phrases that folks (that are requesting help) that should be avoided at all costs:
"I tried everything!"
Here's what's wrong with this: we have no idea what your idea of "everything" is. And especially if you are new to this stuff, it is probably not "everything". So, using this phrase is really the same thing as providing no information at all.
Be explicit and explain exactly what you tried, including as many details as possible. Examples: URLs of guides you followed, version numbers of any software you used, names of files you downloaded, copy and paste any error messages you experienced.
"It failed."
Read the above several times. What information does it provide? Yeah, that's right - almost nothing. We got the part about you having a problem already. Now is the time to provide details. You are trying to repair a computer - the actual details are incredibly important to getting that to happen.
Be explicit and explain exactly what you tried, including as many details as possible, and provide a transcript of the exact error messages you observed.

Sadly I had no backup for the device and am wondering if it's bricked. I can access the phone when I hold the power/ down volume/home button from time to time. I formatted the device hoping it would fix the issue. I managed to set up the device but I have to hold those specific buttons for it to work. Here are the device specs. I don't know what to do. I tried factory resetting it but with no luck. Every time i turn on the device I have to use that button order. I just have no idea what to do. I installed a stock rom via odin using this tutorial.

Device: Samsung Galaxy s4 SGH-I337
Android : 4.4.4 kit kat
Edit: I have to hold volume down/home button/ power to turn it on which is quite annoying. I've never had this issue before. Is there a way to completely restore it to factory without having to do all this stuff? I tried doing it via recovery mode and in the phone itself. I get this screen https://cdn-images.xda-developers.com/direct/3/0/1/9/2/9/4/20120813002112.jpg
Which I usually get but then it goes straight to the odd recovery mode screen and not to the phone.
I found out something huge that might help! My volume up key isn't working so I'm assuming it's booting it straight into recovery mode for that reason. I read on a few sites saying I need the device repaired! I'm almost 100% sure thats the issue but correct me if im wrong. The volume up wont work at all.

The youtube video you mentioned was about how to root the i337. The video did not mentioned anything about stock rom installation via odin.
The video shows to install the nc1 kernel, then use the towel root to root and then install the NJ4 kernel back to work with system.
It appears that your system messed-up in installing the kernel.
You need to install the full firmware via odin. There is only one full firmware available for kit-kat. It is NB1 firmware with NC1 kernel cooked by muniz_ri. You can download the firmware from here.
Unrar the firmware and you will get .md5 file. Put your phone to download mode, load the .md5 file to AP slot of the odin and flash it.
If you have problem in flashing odin show the screen shot of odin error.
Once your phone is running fine, you can use towel root to root the phone. If you want to upgrade to NJ4 I will show you the direction then.
Hello. I was working on a phone, an samsung galaxy s5 (chinese version) sm-g9006v and I tried to root it in order to add playstore and more to the device.
However, I used odin and a CF-autoroot file for this device.
After that the device went in a blocked white screen with a chinese log and on top left it wrote "set warranty bit recovery" and some other text.
Waited a bit since I thought it was a phase that was required for the root process to continue but it didn't do anything for a few good minutes, however i proceded to remove the battery (since the power button wasn't helping to reset the device) and now it won't start and it won't enter in a download state to use odin to eventually flash something else onto it.
Any help is appreciated as I'm kind of desperate at this point. Thank you.
Edit: if I connect it to the pc it gets in a start-up loop i believe.

Use Samsung KIES 3 and select "Emergency Firmware Recovery" or "Firmware Upgrade and Initialization". This worked for me even after a botched recovery flash that prevented me from going into Download mode.
Hello there,
I don't know much about rooting and flashing and other things because it's not my cup of tea. Coming to the point, yesterday I followed a guide to root my Samsung Galaxy E7 using the CF Autoroot flash file. But things didn't go well, after a few seconds of starting flash process using the Odin tool, my phone lost connection with the PC. Odin was still flashing the file but when I checked the log it said removed. I noticed that my phone's download mode is also got stuck. So I got panicked and pressed vol down + power + home to hard restart the phone, and then my got stuck on Emergency Recovery Screen (I forgot to take the photo of the message flashing on that screen). Currently my phone's battery is drained and its resting.
So please tell me if there's any way to fix my phone. A simple method please because I don't know much about these things. And another is that whether my data is still safe or erased.
Thanks in advance
