I'm having trouble with the stocks tab on my HD2. The historical graphs show only the future now, and are flat as a result. For instance, the yearly graph starts in November and extends into 2012. The line is flat.
Does anyone have an idea as to how to fix this?
Same problem here, but no solution
same problem. i think its affecting everyone cause the website that the data is pulled from has probably changed. i find that i only get the line graph when using 1 day and 5 day charts .. anything more than that now returns a flat line.
this sucks ass
same prob..
Nothing new on this?

I'm afraid not. The application has worked correctly once since I noticed the problem. I think it's another dead tab.
It works again!!!

Hi, I have just noticed that the Stocks Tab works again and the charts are updating correctly. Straight line is gone
I've just checked and some of my stock graphs appear to be working. Some are still a mess though, and others show nothing at all. The graphs are blank for some entries.
I've found that Sense crashes after viewing my graphs now. This didn't happen before. Has anyone else noticed this?

I set the stocks tab to check currencies, it's
monthes since the graphs issue appeared on my device, firstly all graphs did not work, after some time only the "5 days" one didn't and caused the device freezing.. and so it's still (tested on different ROMs)
tried this app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=767688 that is a porting of htc stocks tab and it works correctly (at least with currencies)... so why htc's tab still crashes on "5 days" graph?
I just purchased the gt540 but noticed that at the bottom of the screen there is some backlight bleeding and if pressed at the buttom it gives feedback. (I don't mean the regular feedback buttons but the actual bottom screen)
It's almost like it's intended to make typing a comfortable experience but it's not as the pressing doesn't extend to the full length of the keyboard. I suspect the top layer hasn't been put on properly. (Note that I'm NOT using a protective screen layer)
I'm also dealing with weird reception issues like not receiving txt messages or phone calls sometimes. Browsing is a weird experience to:
The phone constantly shows a 3g icon with full reception. When I start browsing it takes a really long time for the page to load, but then whilst still loading the page i can see the 3g icon change to Hsdpa and the page is suddenly loaded. Downloading is also really fast when it finally is going, so the potential speed is there.
This is ALWAYS the case and it just seems really weird and out of the ordinary to me, like it's some stupid bug or setting issue.
I was thinking that it might be a rom issue but I'm using cyanogen 7 m6 which is considered stable right?
Oh and the battery is also showing weird behaviour, going from half full to completely empty, but I've heard that more people are experiencing battery problems.
I really love this phone but all the problems are drastically reducing the user experience.
Is anybody else dealing with these problems? I'm also really curious about my screen issue.
Thanks heaps

Flash and calibrate battery
I recommend you flash the latest ROM http://twitter.com/#!/MrMur4ik and calibrate your battery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12728721&postcount=1952. If you think it's a physical defect, you should get another phone.

You cannot flash 'latest ROM' without flashing fastboot first. Latest ROM is actually 2.1. (2.3 is unofficial, also you should have pointed to XDA Thread and not Mur4ik's twitter.) Also flashing a new ROM won't fix screen defects.
www.myGT540.com
There you go
No fastboot?
How did you update to Swiftdroid v2.0 M6? I used Mur4ik's Twitter account because the forum on this board is NOT by Mur4ik himself and it can be sometimes out-of-date. You can get the latest ROMs ASAP from Mur4ik's Twitter account. You should get a new phone as it has physical defects.
While there are several threads announcing the release of Android 5.0.1, in regard to the Nexus 6, most of them seem to be filled with posts relating to the availability, instructions for sideloading, etc.
This thread is to discuss the CHANGES that you have noticed between 5.0 and 5.0.1, and as this is the Nexus 6 section, it should really relate to changes on that device only. You may list changes you've personally noticed, or published changes, but please indicate the source. I, like many of you, no doubt, am very curious to see what is new, fixed, broken, etc.
http://aosp.changelog.to/aosp-LRX21V-LRX22C.html
On 5.0 I kept having the cloud print service or whatever keep crashing, on 5.0.1 I had the Amazon kindle app keep showing a notification Amazon kindle stopped for about 12 hours and had to reboot my phone. (Kept throwing the notification up about every 20 minutes on 5.0.1)
My phone has also been unable to chromecast netflix for the last week and I have to use my gf's nexus 6 to chromecast netflix. Weird little problems with applications on both operating systems.
Edit: Finally re-installed netflix and it fixed chromecasting.
It would be nice to see a list of changes (In language a typical person speaks rather than the jumbled mess that those AOSP changes look like)
I agree. Those AOSP changes are not that easy to understand. Also, they are just to the Android Operating System but doesn't the OTA also contain a new Modem and possibly other driver updates that would fix other issues with our phones? Those fixes and changes would not be in the AOSP list.
On a second note, why does Google do this? They obviously know whats changed. How hard is it to publish a simple list?
Is 5.0.1 fixing the slow text/multiple texts sent issue for Sprint users? People are getting my texts like 10 times quite frequently, I read somewhere that this version fixes that.

It doesn't.
Hell, I'm on AT&T and have the slow text issue. It'll stay stuck on "sending" for 3-4 minutes sometimes. Not sure if it sends multiple times or not, haven't had anyone complain to me that they got the same message several times.
I think I saw there is a new radio... Would be interested to know if signal reception is any better

digging in a little deeper

Work around AP misbehavior on EAPOL-Key descriptor version
It looks like some APs are incorrectly selecting descriptor version 3
(AES-128-CMAC) for EAPOL-Key frames when version 2 (HMAC-SHA1) was
expected to be used. This is likely triggered by an attempt to negotiate
PMF with SHA1-based AKM.
Since AES-128-CMAC is considered stronger than HMAC-SHA1, allow the
incorrect, but stronger, option to be used in these cases to avoid
interoperability issues with deployed APs.
This issue shows up with "WPA: CCMP is used, but EAPOL-Key descriptor
version (3) is not 2" in debug log. With the new workaround, this issue
is ignored and "WPA: Interoperability workaround: allow incorrect
(should have been HMAC-SHA1), but stronger (is AES-128-CMAC), descriptor
version to be used" is written to the log.

I'm seriously noticing my battery is better then it was yesterday before I flashed 5..0.1 I was roughly 34%, which was not really bad, after 12 hours of my normal use. Today, 50%, same time as yesterday. I will keep an eye on it, but thats what I'm seeing. Everything else seems about the same to me.

I'm on T-Mobile but I just got home and phoned up my co-worker who has the Verizon version. Says he noticed a slight improvement in overall touchscreen responsiveness. Biggest problem that he said was fixed was ghost touches (touching one portion of the screen caused a menu to pop up somewhere else for example) being completely gone. Idk, it's really starting to feel like a lot of these bugs should have gotten squashed in the product testing phase. Wonder if this is the same update as the mandatory one T-Mobile got way back. I wouldn't think so since the T-Mobile update did not fix touch screen issues for anyone.

Forgive me if I've misunderstood QC 2.0. But my understanding is it can charge at 9V or 12V. So just because it's still at 9V doesn't definitely mean that the phone isn't receiving more power, the amps could have also increased.
To provide 15W, for instance, you'd need 3A at 5V, 1.67A at 9V, and 1.33A at 12V.
It's possible to still get 9V from the charger, but draw more amps, for faster charging. Using something like Battery Monitor Widget, to monitor the current provided to the battery, would be a useful tool.

After reading all of these posts, I'm really hoping for a similar update on T-Mobile coming soon. I'm glad this isn't just a placebo and an actual solution to a software problem that doesn't require getting my phone serviced.
SIdeloading apps problem???
UPDATE: Nevermind - issue not related to Verizon update... Had Twilight app kick on after sunset and that overlay app (reducing blue light) is what caused the touch issue. (Credit: brainwash1)
Enabled installing from "Unknown Sources" and installed an app yesterday no problem
I just did the Verizon system update and reboot, now on sideloading install I get the permissions list with CANCEL & INSTALL buttons at the bottom. Looks normal, but the INSTALL button doesn't respond to any tapping. Tried landscape mode also, just to move where the button was located on the screen, but no dice. CANCEL button works fine.
[Also, if there are many permissions, so I need to scroll, the INSTALL button starts as a NEXT button, then changes to INSTALL when done scrolling to bottom. Doesn't matter, neither NEXT not INSTALL buttons function]
Not sure what else would cause this. It seems like the Verizon system update broke something. Anyone else having new problem sideloading after the update???
Whats your carrier? I think the other guy is verizon. So am i, and i put no thanks

Do you have an app running that overlays something on the screen? I've had this in the past with a couple of different apps. Try turning off anything that's running.

OK, then the update isn't stored in the cache partition as other phones. It's a bit drastic but a factory data reset will do it. I ended up taking the update and then froze the updater. It did improve the touch response so I have no need for further updates. It updates the kernel because that is where the necessary changes are.

my touch response "seems" improved but I still get ghost touches..
I love pretty much every aspect of the phone, but the issues I have with the touchscreen are maddening at times, if I didn't see widespread reports of issues I would have Verizon replace the phone, but I am not sure it's worth the hassle..

It might be worth replacing. I first had a black one that had the problem pretty bad. I returned the phone and went back to my S6 for a while but ended up picking up a blue one from Best Buy and this one works great. The touch wasn't that sensitive before the update but now it works really good. My battery is really good on the blue model too. Keep in mind I paid full retail for mine so when I returned the first one there was no restocking fee. I go to BestBuy just for that reason.
I was having some touch issues just as many are experiencing. Just today I installed the Google keyboard from the play store. I enabled the new keyboard and stopped using the LG keyboard. I have been using it this way for about an hour and I am much happier. I am hopeful this will take care of my issue. This is on a Verizon G4.
I took the update yesterday and threw my Verizon G4 on a Qi Wireless Charger last night and the bug where it has crashed in the AM is still there. Not sure about that.
Basically every time I wake up on a night of Qi Charging, the phone is crashed and freaks out.
Update:
My phone is now getting hot and doing the screen brightness bounce like it did out of the box. Going from 100 to 90 to 80 to 90 to 80 to 100 to 90.

I switched from the LG keyboard to the google keyboard day one so that was never a source of my issues.. Just today.. twice post update I have had ghost touches launch the app switcher icon while texting and caused me to switch apps on accident.. Doh.. It's frustrating to say the least.
Never had a problem with wireless charging besides it's slow.
No screen brightness fluctuations.
No ghosting on screen.
Sounds like there's an awful big batch of bad phones.

There are definitely bad ones. I returned mine again a few hours ago because my outdoor pictures would come out either dark or overexposed real bad. I tried manual mode and auto and no matter what I did they were awful. So I'm back to my S6 again, it was fun while it lasted.

Issues:
-Gyroscope is too sensitive and inaccurate.
-Magnetometer (Compass) is really bad, keeps spinning even if the phone is still. And doesn't show real north (actually misses too much).
-Slight pressure points on screen (Like when you press a bit harder, looks like when you press LCD monitor and "bleeds" a little). Probably isn't laminated well. It doesn't bother me so I just mention it.
And I hope someone will help me solve problem with gyro and compass!

Antelife (China)
Originally installed with 20150314 KK, since upgraded to superdragonPT's beta 3 and then unoffical 1Jul15 LP 5.1 - latter both working well
Issues:
Lower microphone only works in Sound Recorder/Video Camera, fails to work on calls or OK Google - suspect software glitch somewhere, but have ordered replacement USB/lower mic board, and will report back when fitted
Occasionally under KK (stock), when hitting the slider to unlock the phone it would 'stick' and the only way to resolve was to take battery out
Deezer does not work well under KK (stock) - have to keep screen alive to allow it to play one track then the next on an album, otherwise the second track will not load properly - suspect Deezer issue not optimised to work with octacore models

(when I first received the device, it wouldn't detect my simcard and didn't have an imei stored, after I contacted support they advised that all I had to do was perform a factory reset and the phone would allocate its IMEI... I did so and now the phone is working perfectly)

No my friend, I've tried everything and dozen of compass apps that "calibrate" this way and even some apps that are just for calibration.
I've seen however in engineering mode when going to msensor (magnetometer) it says with data is wrong so it might be broken sensor, but it is kinda unimaginable. I've seen many people report these two (gyro, compass) not to work correctly. Also, my friend got S3 and he has the same problem.

Accuracy 0.0 looks odd. Mine is 0.2 but also mentiones 'NOT GOOD'. It works though.
When I leave compass on table it keeps drifting, sometimes it can make few circles even though phone is still.

And what are your experience with gyro? Can you try google camera and see if photo sphere works?

Mine heats up also when playing online 3d games with heavy graphics, no overheating wile browsing (i'm talking about 3g and wi-fi though - don't use 4g).Have you tried to lower the CPU frequency to 1,5 for example. Some guys here thing it heats up because of the turbo function 2 cores are getting boosted to about 2.0 mhz. When needed. Don't know how to switch that off... If someone has solution is welcome to share.
Is there a way to know jiayu s3 manufacturing date in software?, maybe via engineering mode or some special code? (like, for example, "Phone INFO ★Samsung★" on Google Play Store does for Samsung)? Knowing date might perhaps help correlate hardware issues.
Good news - got the replacement lower USB/mic board today - swapped out easy enough, and now finally have a working lower microphone. Very pleased, fix cost about £5 from Vifocal (http://vifocal.com/usb-connector-with-mic-deputy-board-repalcement-for-jiayu-s3-smartphone.html), took 24 days to get here from China.
Now I can finally use the S3 as a phone, not just a tablet.
It's good to see that spare parts are available for the S3 (particularly with the future of Jiayu in question) and self repairs are achievable. I would choose a self fix if the parts are cheap enough rather than waiting weeks for warranty service anyway.
I have two devices and the LCD calibrations are noticeably different. On one the whites have a very slight pinkish hue(like red needs to be turned down a touch). It also has a very small amount of backlight bleed in the bottom corner which is more noticeable due to the backlight being white and the screen being slightly pink. Simple RGB calibration tools could correct this (like the franco kernel on the nexus devices) but so far I cannot find a tool to do this at kernel level so filter overlay apps are the only option and miravision doesn't help.
Has anyone else noticed backlight bleed or slightly pink screen? Admittedly it would be difficult to detect if you don't have a second device to compare it to.

Well, at first, i was pretty excited when i received. I had to cut my old sim cards to micro sim.
And when i tried to connect them, the phone was not recognize them. My though: "Maybe it's because they are old sim cards, i asked to my operator a new ones".
While i was waiting, i've tried a micro sim from a friend, and it didn't recognize as well.
My surprise, when searching on the net, for this kind of problem, i dialed *#06# to see the IMEI, and both are "Invalid"..
Since then, i've tried many ways to restore the IMEI.
"#4634# - After put the IMEI, shows a message that IMEI was successful changed, but when i check, they are the INVALIDS again.
I've tried the IMEI_FIXING MTK. (with sn_gen.exe ) replacing the old file for the new one that is created. And nothing happens too. :crying:
My last thought, is to update my phone to that S3S Lollipop v5.1 – Release Candidate, and see if it fix the problem.
But, for now, it seems that ROM it has a some bugs..

But, for now, it seems that ROM it has a some bugs..
Can anyone help me with this?
Many Thanks
