Hello,
The accelerometer is defective on my Defy+, as a result it stops working sporadically. With the stock firmware it could be reactivated by restarting the phone, but now I have CM7.2 on it, and CM deals with the problem differently: at the first occasion the device file disappeared ( /dev/kxtf9 ) from the system, probably got deleted automatically by the OS. Now I'd like to recreate it manually hoping that it could be a workaround, but unfortunately I don't know the device major and minor numbers. Could someone please tell them to me ? Thanks.

There is a problem. Phone spontaneously freezes and reboots .. The last hope for your forum .. Immediately apologize for my English. I use google translator.
The phone was in the store with 74 CU firmware. Put Root, Russian patch cmw. Everything was fine, but the phone did not work a day, and they almost never used, and the use of the network in the first place. I was advised to calibrate the battery, and the program defy baseband. I'm not used the phone. A few days later there were complaints that the phone periodically freezes and goes to reboot ... Only helps the removal of the battery ... When I received it a few days, it was impossible to use it. In any action it hangs. That is, I press the menu, configuration vayfay and everything freezes. I tried to flash the firmware 139. redlayt through 3.9. In airplane mode the phone is not hung up about .. So I thought that the case in GSM module .. But he, too, hung .. In the end, I installed CyanogenMod 7. Phone is better, but sometimes it still hangs. And it is not logical and unexpected. Working half a day. Then suddenly you come into a notebook and all ... crashed. In the case of market crashes.
I tried to change the CPU frequency. voltage. I tried to dump the entire cache and flash again .. does not help. It is your last hope. Perhaps this marriage. Help please.

2.3.6 uk 188 defy full sbf wifi does not work properly the signal drops or reboot motorola closed bootloader s*ck
Anyone can help me? =(
have to send back this phone to CU =(((( so bad
I'm in uk with a second hand defy from eBay. Was just about to start a new thread detailing my woes. I've tried flashing several SBFs with no joy. Lots of fcs and reboots sometimes frequent sometes and hour apart. Seems to be mainly whilst using gps even happens when in flight mode.
Could it be incompatible radios? I would have though I would have problems with wifi or signal but I do not.
I've flashed the stock uk orange 2.2 rom and also tried the stock 2.3.4 sbf.
My next port of call was going to be cyanogen mod, however I am unable to install as I can find no way to instal a custom recovery. I am able to atchive root using super one click. However this OS where the success ends.
If someone could indicate a fool proof way of instantly CWM and CM I believe this rom will be my last hope, although ready the first post in this thread makes me think otherwise :-(
Your thought are welcome
Cheers
Hello folks,
I've been using a few builds of ParanoidAndroid on my 16gb N7 (grouper) for quite some time.
Last update, thou, has broken my tab's NFC. Whatever NFC signal I try to use (tag, N4, Gnex), nothing happens, not even an error message. I tried several restoration and full wipes with no success and then decided I might as well go back to stock since 4.2.2 seems to fix most issues I had with it.
So I flashed the latest factory image, with a clean install (manually erased boot, system, userdata, etc. thru fastboot) and the problem is still here ! I performed 2 more factory reset without any success.
So before I return my tab (and that will be annoying cause it's probably gonna take them a month before it comes back), is there a way that would help me check if the problem is hardware or sofware related ? If it's software, there has to be a way I can fix it myself, so I won't bother send it to be repaired.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot to anyone.
(and sorry if this question already exists, I couldn't find a thread about it).
You've already eliminated the probability of it being software.

Hi there,
I have an annoying problem with my N7.
Everytime I try to change user, the device reboots... Even when I delete the old user, and try to create another one : same issue.
I'm with CM10.1 Experimental (stable one) and already had the same issue with the stock rooted 4.2.2 one.
Any idea?
Hi there, first time on this forum - so be gentle please. I've picked up a moto defy from ebay (perfect for my work). I've followed all the guides and rooted it (one click root) and installed 2ndinit to get cwm. Everything seems to be working OK, untill I try and flash ICS/JB roms. The "smart" part of smartphone is there, but it loses all ability to be used as a phone. No calls, no SMS. If I reboot I can make/receive/send one thing - then nothing untill I reboot.
Has anyone else had this or heard of this problem?
I'm fairly familiar with the basics of custom roms (I've unlocked/rooted/rom'd plenty over the last 3 years - mainly HTC but also ZTE Blade/Crescent) but this is the first time I've had to resort to posting a specific question online.
Things I've tried: baseband switcher
deleting unused apn
wiping cache/dalvik
fixing permissions
Current Phone settings: MIUI 3.9.20
Baseband EPU93_U00.60.03
Kernel 2.6.32.60-Jellybean
I'm in the UK and trying to connect to the BTmobile network (piggybacks the vodafone network).
Thanks for any help.
Chris
Hi all,
I've recently upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9300) to a Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F). Phone seemed to be working as desired so decided to go ahead, root, and install a custom ROM for enhanced functionality and customisation. Root process went smoothly, just running a simple CF-AutoRoot with Odin3 (voids KNOX, but no other problems), then installing PhilZ Advanced CWM Recovery.
From there I decided to install an unofficial build of CyanogenMod 11; found information on this forum. Flashing worked perfectly (and took rather little time!), but upon installation I noticed a strange problem. If I hard reboot (power off, power on) the device, with Wifi & Mobile Data off, the time and date are reset to incorrect values. Usually 01/01/xxxx and the time around 00:00. Same problem occurs even if when I turned off Network-allocated time and tried and set time manually.
The same problem occurred with other similar CyanogenMod based builds such as [AICP] and [AOSB]. I decided to restore back to the stock ROM and noticed that the clock and date were set correctly on reboot (and also on custom versions of 4.4.2 such as SpeedROMv7).
I checked with the terminal the value of the 'hwclock' (from BusyBox) and it reported an odd date somewhere in 1970, but different to the ones in found on CyanogenMod etc.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this kind of problem and how to fix such an issue? If anyone wants any additional information about my device, please don't hesitate on commenting in this post. Would be grateful for any feedback. Thanks! :good:
PS: Also seem to be experiencing a problem with WiFi randomly disconnecting after a period of time. Not seen many threads with this said explicitly however. Problem with no voice in phone calls with headphones still persists but I've acknowledged that this is a known bug at the moment.

Same Issue.
I have been encountering this very same problem for a while now, in fact, I am expriencing the same issue with my Galaxy S4 (i9505). So this must really be an issue of the CM code I guess.
Any ideas on how to solve this would be welcome since it is a really annoying issue
