Just reinstall your rom !!
Because you said that the boot loader is unlocked and rooted so i presum you have a custom recovery installed
Because it will not wipe your personal data on storage

Unlock/Lock Moto X Style Bootloader Multiple Times?

Hi Guys
I have 3 questions regarding Moto X Style Bootloader unlocking.
Can we unlock the Moto X Style bootloader after locking it after first unlock?
Can this process be repeated multiple times if we need to?
Can we use the same unique unlock key that we received while unlocking the bootloader for the first time?
Thank you
Why would you want to do this?

Yes you can do it as many times as you want but 1: Why would you relock afterwards 2: You will have to deal with a factory reset every time
PS: I dont know about the unlock key but most likely you can use the same
Is there any way to remove the Bootloader unlock warning ⚠ without relocking bootloader?

Theres no reason really to relock it. Once its unlocked, the bootloader will show that it was unlocked regardless if you relock it.

Thanks for your reply.
The reason for attempting to re-lock bootloader is to get the OTA update from Motorola till date, especially Reliance Jio VoLTE support...But if I wish to make any further changes to my phone with any custom rom I should be able to do it by unlocking the bootloader again.
Thanks

You don't have to lock the bootloader to take an OTA. You just need to be in a completely unmodified stock state: stock recovery, unmodified system, no root, etc. Bootloader can be unlocked.

I have unlocked bootloader, TWRP recovery and rooted. If I unroot and flash stock recovery, I will be able to get OTA? Do I need to take care of anything else?

That might work. Frankly I'm not sure. I haven't actually taken successfully an OTA on any phone since sometime in 2013 honestly.
I once flashed this phone totally back to stock. Every partition but logo, and it failed to take an OTA. I don't know if it failed because I had a modified logo, or maybe I had mounted system r/w. Not sure.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable on this topic will chime in.

The answer is maybe... it depends what you have changed and what this OTA updater script actually checks for.
We know that a stock bootloader (which can be unlocked, that is not relevant), stock recovery, and stock system image are required to take an OTA. If the system image has been modified it can fail, and we know the updater has the ability to see if /system has EVER been mounted R/W and can fail for that condition although so far it doesn't seem Moto is going that extreme.
We do know a modified logo does not affect an OTA, in fact, you can even relock the bootloader with a modified logo so it must not be a significant check.

On my father's moto e lte I received OTA without issue with unlocked bootloader, I just flashed stock image and it was ready to update, btw I'm not sure but I've seen somewhere info that you can change bootlogo even with locked bootloader so I don't think that's the issue.
Btw after you once unlock bootloader you won't be able to truly lock it again, next time you will be able to unlock it without any code so you lose some security in this process, frp won't be working anymore.

You still need code to unlock each time, but it's the same code, and if you relock OEM Unlocking gets turned off and you would have to turn it on again... So if something fails on the first boot after relocking, your f*cked, no way to unlock.
And FRP definitely works if the bootloader is unlocked, it is just much easier to bypass.

You're right sorry

relock honor 5x bootloader sorry for noob question

hi all my first post im wanting to relock 5x bootloader has i unlocked the boot loader unofficial way as my fingerprint scanner is not working so prob needs to go back also it wont update
i tried this via adb fastboot oem lock and it said FAILED ( remote invalid command) plus on the phone in fastbbot red its got PHONE unlocked and FRP UNLOCK
hope someone can help would be appriciated and im running b130 firmware
I dont think you can relock it its unlockable for a reason. Offtopic// how is warranty in europe when unlocked?
hmm,
well ive relocked bootloader just will not update and fingerprint not working not even in menu
Maybe you should walk us through what exactly you did up until the point where your FP scanner stopped working. It seems strange that it stopped working as a result to unlocking the bootloader (they are not related).
this is what i did
right i tried installing cm13 installed twrp and then the rom did not work kept crashing
so i reinstalled stock recovery via adb
then installed b130 rom for l21 device
ive even tried the dload update app route to reinstall stock rom and when i connect it to my charger and do the key combo i keeep getting software installed failed and it goes to quick to get the error message
i cannot update and im stuck on b130
when i do goto uopdate via handset it says your system was altered and full update is needed and then fails

Did you clean flash it or dirty?

@Zulu:
Is your issue that the fingerprint setup menu item does not even show up in the settings menue even when you re-flash stock rom and EMUI 3.1?
I have that exact issue. I have been trying every possible way to go back to stock, am at EMUI 3.1 now with original Recovery. But still the fingerprint menu item still does not show up in the setup menue screen.
Now I am hoping that EMUI 4 will solve that issue.
Did you find a solution by chance?

hi yes same issue i couldn't get phone to update to b140 or anything so I've just reflashed cm13 this time which went without any issues this time round. when i went back to stock the fingerprint was not even in menu same as you
i will not buy a cheap budget phone anymore this is way to much aggro lol and I've flashed loads of phones before and never had these issues on this scale I'm going to be buying another phone in a couple of months
the only reason i wanted to flash in first place as i thought stock was laggy
let me know if you get your issues sorted and then give me a step by step guide please when you have done this
also i did unlock my boot loader via dc client software as huawei site for unlocking boot loader never worked for me
:silly:
u can relock the bootloader. i did it. just go to the bootloader with fastboot oem relock ****** command. **** is your 16 digit unlock code. but 1st flash the stock recovery then lock the bootloader.

Hello zulu1875, if you are interested you can now contact our support team at 1-844-524-6667 for more information as we now offer an RMA process to re-flash the device back to factory settings. Please keep in mind that re-flashing the device will wipe the memory of the device clean.

t mobile unlock app not working why?

It says
The app not computable with my device
When trying to unlock sim card
Thats becuse I'm rooted?? Or what ?
It doesn't work with root or so I was told; I had to return the device to stock to use the SIM Unlock App. I hate T-mobile for this. There is a thread on how to do that including relocking the bootloader before running the SIM Unlock App (that works perfectly). Once SIM Unlocked, you can reroot

I don't remember having to relock the bootloader... but either way you'll need to backup your current data to restore if you care about your data that is... unrooting will encrypt your data partition rendering TWRP unable to access it and locking the bootloader wipes your device.

Check this thread, and follow local update method, then you need only of a command to lock the bootloader:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/how-to-update-return-to-stock-oneplus-6-t3870795
I just locked the bootloader for my OnePlus 6t. Follow the steps given below.
1. Backup all the important data. I am not responsible for any data loss!!!
2. Remove security lock screen (pin/pattern) or any thing
3. Download the stock rom from https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/OnePlus6TOxygen_34_OTA_020_all_1904032212_38e22c8b9abd42e3.zip
and transfer it to your phone.
4. Boot into twrp recovery.
5. flash the downloaded zip
6. Once done, reboot the system.
7. Now, boot back into the fastboot. (you can enable advance restart from developer mode for easy boot into fastboot)
8. Run fastboot oem lock
9. You will be presented with two options on phone screen. Select the one that says lock the bootloader.
10. It will wipe everything.
11. Once you in the system, enable developer mode and make sure that oem unlock is turned off. If not, turn it off and restart your phone.
And, you are done.
Let me know if it helps or if you have any question/concern.
MDM Tool in my opinion the easiest and quickest way to go back to 1000% stock. It will re-flash every partition on the phone so it's like brand new again. Using the MSM Tool guarantees that everything is back to stock and should restore the Widevine version back to L1 or whatever it was originally.
A question please
Once you lock again your phone, does it loose the root????
I mean, I have a Xperia 10 with the bootloader unlocked , it is root as well. Now root permissions for special aps work fine, but Google Pay is unusable, it does not work anymore. I hid root with xposed framework and rootCloak, but Google Pay still does not work now because the bootloader is unlocked...
As you should know, it is possible to lock the phone again... and many of those phones that relock their bootloaders keep the root permissions...
However , in my case, with Xperia devices (bq and xiaomi happen de same) is you lock the bootloader again, the phone resets, everything dissapear and root is eliminated. What is a really disaster.
As you have heard, the majority of phones, if you lock them again the root continues working, at least the apps that you gave them root permissions they continue working as they used to. But in my case this is different....ç
So please,
Is there any possibility to Lock my bootloader again without loosing the Root in my Xperia?????
Thousand of thanks!!!!

This is the only Thread where I could find some information about locking a bootloader again. Yes , this is dedicated to xiaomi 6t, but locking bootloaders is something common.
The only thing I want is to lock my Bootloader again without loosing Root permisions. Xperia devices seem to RESET everything when you lock the booloader automatically...., but perhaps there is another way.... a possibility to lock the bootloader without the phone is reset (loosing root permissions) ....
I asked for some help here. I regret any inconvenience that could may be caused on this thread with my message.

Nobody have your phone here how could we help you? Each phone has its specific behavior
If you relock a OnePlus phone you reset everything, like when you unlock it and it's logical. A locked bootloader is meant to ensure safety of data, safety that can't be provided with root access. Locked BL and root are antinomic.

Thank you for your message and understanding. So in Oneplus devices happen the same. So once you unlock the bootloader you loose Google Pay forever because it does not work wit BL unlocked...
Some users suggested me to lock again the bootloader,
Imagine:
- I become Root. Then I modify some apps
- I give to some apps root permissions.
- I lock the bootloader again.
- I won't be able to modify my phone anymore, but all those apps that were given root permissions, Will they be kept in the phone although it has BL locked again.
would it be like this?
or all changes you did while being root would dissapear with everything?????
If So... there is no exit what I see..., We have to choose between being Root users.... or being stock with Google Pay. It is a Pity.
I was not sure if all Phones reset and erase everything when you lock the bootloader .... but as I can see here, this is the reality. Root users loose Google PAY definitely.
Is there any option to solve this??
thanks again for your attention.

I rooted my xperia using Magisk..., is there any tutorial or info that you suggest to me to follow ? or what should I do in magisk options???
I have 10 days with my phone stopped, trying and trying to make Google Pay works....Maybe this is happening to me because my Xperia uses Android 9.0.... or Magisk should make google pay work even being in android 9.0?
First Google pay recognized Root, and the app stopped working. I hid it using xposed and RootCloak
Then, Google pay recognized Bootloader. But now... I dont know what to do to hid bootloader unlocked for Google..., Google pay recognises it is unlocked... a disaster and a nightmare for me, I dont know what to do...

Lock Bootloader, Keep Root

Hey, experts! I have a question. Can I keep the ROOT and LOCK BOOTLOADER?
What I want to do with my phone is,
• Unlock Bootloader
• Revert to Oreo(I'll upgrade later, my phone has some software issues)
• Root
• Lock Bootloader
It's this possible?? Because, techmesto, narender Singh claimed that, looking Bootloader after rooting results in bricking up the phone.
Absolutely don't lock it. He's probably right. Just about everything sends this phone into a bootloop, so yeah, it will probably brick it. Even if it boots, OTA will also almost certainly be broken. You'll have to pay to get it unlocked again.
