Enabling HSDPA & Speed Adjustment?

I am completely new to the whole Android so forgive me if I am asking stupid questions. I have a G1 running CyanogenMod's latest build. I am also running Android Wireless Tether For Root Users. I am only getting about 1mbps when I should be getting more like 7mbps. Is there a way to ensure that my phone is set up to do HSDPA or maybe it is the setup in the tethering app. I saw something about a netspeed option for the os.
Your not gonna get it if its not in your area.
Its enabled in all roms/stock but i barely get it sometimes but it goes back to 2G.
If your not on the matching carrier i.e.tmo and the freqs are different then you wont get the full speed. Also note the amount of bars your getting.
The 7.2MB is still being rolled out in some areas some people are still stuck with only 2G/Edge.
Netspeed app will test your Speed but i heard that app gives false readings.

The 3G icon is showing. I live in the Cleveland area. What is tmo, is this T-Mob**e, that is the network I am on. The app gives you a choice of 9 channels. Is that the frequency selection? Thanks for helpin out a newbie...
You can try typing the following in the dialer (and scroll down)
*#*#4636#*#*

atrix slow 3g

Ok maybe its normal but my 3g speeds are only like 20-30KB max is that normal and is their anyway to increse it my phone is rooted and has sideloading on.

[Q] How to Change HSDPA Category in Hidden Menu of LG G2 ?

Hi experts,
I just got a new SIM card with a data connection up to 30 MBit/s. That´s quite fast, I know! But really I don´t need this high speed connection, also the LG G2 gets quite hot while using internet. That wasn´t like this before with the 7.2 MBit data speed.
Now I want to limit the HSDPA Category to 8, this means back to 7.2 MBit/s. That´s fast enough and saving energy.
Can anyone help me how to set this parameter? My LG G2 is not rooted.
If I go through the Hidden Menu, there I find WCDMA Only -> Modem Setting -> HSDPA Category. The value there is set to 12. But it´s not possible to change it, even if I press on 8 it´s not changing.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!!
No one has an idea?
Maybe it´s possible with an app?

Change frequency on Lemfo lem4 pro

Hi, wondering if anyone can help. I have the lem 4 pro and says it's a 3g watch. I have a son in it that was previously in a phone and was giving me perfect 4g signal, then put the sim in my phone and only gives me 2g signal. Is there anything I can do, like change the frequency to get the full 3g signal?
No way to change frequencies that I know of, but have you looked at the APN? It's likely that you need to set that correctly if you haven't already.

I have Vodafone UK and to the best of my knowledge, the settings are correct.
