Unlock Motorola Droid Pro

Hello everybody,
I'm currently thinking about to import the Pro to Germany. But the phone is only available at Verizon. Those phones are locked. If I am right, the lock is for SIM cards, because Verizon operates w/o SIM cards, correct?! I found some unlock companies over the net, but noone is able to unlock the Pro from Verizon.
How is the lock removalble? This is not software based, so that rooting the phone and flashing a custom ROM will not help?! Only the method by entering the correct code?! So I have to check for unlocked phones, which are really expensive... Or is that SIM lock only for US Networks and in Germany it would work?!

You simply call Verizon and tell them you're going to spend some extended time in Europe and you want the ability to unlock the phone and change out the SIM card so you can use the phone as a local phone without all the charges, etc. They'll then tell you that you won't have the Verizon guarantee of service, etc., if you remove the SIM card while overseas. But the cost savings is definitely worth it.
Interestingly, I didn't actually "unlock" my phone as I've done with Blackberries in the past. They gave me a code to use when and if I ever insert a foreign SIM card in the phone. At that time, it will prompt me for the unlock code.

I've been using mine for 2 weeks now in Portugal, I bought it on eBay and I believe that the seller got the code straight from Verizon. No issues so far, although the coverage is poor IMO. Other than that, I wish the battery could last a bit longer, but I'm already used to having to charge it every night.

I am living in Germany and would like to import this phone too, but I dont know where to buy it? I dont want to buy anything on eBay!

I personally recommend this guy SwiftUnlock for your Motorola Droid Pro. He got me the unlock code in no time. Now everything is working perfectly on my Motorola Droid Pro. Using it in Mumbai, India on GSM + EDGE

My service provider has yet not started 3G services here. Its in the pipeline and should be ON anytime before 31st

Hey man. Can you tell me the format of the unlock code? I don't need the unlock code itself, just its length, numerals only or alphanumeric, etc...

I wish! No, I'm getting a Pro off eBay and the seller has already mailed me what he claims is the unlock code. I wanted to make sure he did not just send me a bogus number.

Using it on Sprint network in the US?
I have been desperately wanting to get my hands on an android based physical keyboard candy bar phone for a long time. I finally found this amazing phone and am wondering if this can be used with sprint in the US. I am not willing to change carriers and if that is the case I will just have to wait for another one of the same type to be available on sprint. Sad is the case! Please let me know if using this phone on sprint is possible.

In theory it should work - it looks like all it does is have the SIM card report that it is an AT&T SIM
Why not buy one and try it out? (And then post back here with your results)

No offence, but unlocking AT&T Focus for 31$ isn't cheap at all. Even AT&T might do it for free and on eBay you find sellers to code unlock for about $5 or less.

I unlocked it at unlocktotalk dot com for 14.95. Pretty seamless transaction

I paid like $4.95 to unlock my focus on ebay a few months ago. Try that.
EDIT: I found one on ebay for $0.99 HERE 99.8% seller rating too!

PAYG Razr i from Three in the UK

Hi
I've just received one of the Razr I phones on offer from Three UK for £149 + £10 topup ordered online. People might like to know that the phone I received is an unbranded UK Retail model with 4.1.2 and UNLOCKED. I've tried it with Virgin, T-Mobile & Tesco SIMs and it works fine. Very pleased so far.

Yep, aware of that. Should have made clear that I meant it was not SIM locked. Modding always seems to bring me grief so I'm quite happy to keep it standard as a reliable phone/internet browser/navigation device. :fingers-crossed:

are you totally sure that ALL of the Three PAYG Motorola Razr i-s can NOT be unlocked considering their bootloader? Why?
I plan to purchase one, but I knew nothing about this... Would I miss anything important if it remains locked?

I've only found one mostly with older posts: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32576654 I think this not the one you mentioned.

I have just unlocked my locked bootloader, having bought the phone like the op from 3.
The fault with generating the unlock code was with Moto.
Now mine is unlocked, rooted and CWM installed.

Yep, I received mine yesterday and the label on the Box and About Phone page shows it to be a normal UK Retail version and mine definitely wasn't SIM locked as in OP. I'm currently using a Tesco (O2) PAYG SIM to use remaining credit before porting to 3. I've also tested with T-Mobile & Virgin and it works fine.

is there anybody, whose device that has been bought from Three (especially Pay As You Go) was SIM-locked?
(I hope the thread's intensity becomes weaker).

funny enough yes. i bought one for my mrs today and after commenting only a few hours ago i thought i should try. so i put a giffgaff sim in it and it asked for unlock code??????
so i tryed with a EE sim and asked same again.
then i put the 3 sim back in got it all set up with google sync and apps etc and tryed again wigh sims and hey presto it worked????????

Instead I've picked up one from the Orange ebay store (£169.99 with £20 credit included). Seems like unlock codes can be picked up cheaply enough too - here's hoping the Orange branding isn't overboard.

Hi, I had to do the same, because my UK contact was late by one day (she could go for the phone on 1st Aug 2013, offer ended at 31st July...), so I've ordered from Play.com with free Pillips BT speaker (http://www.play.com/stores/ChitterChatter/listing/828995144). +10Ł & Locked, but still satisfactory offer. When do you get yours? I've never thought of Orange branding... can it be disturbing?
And from where do you buy trustworthy unlock code? I'll need sth like that, too!

I bought mine from the "official" Orange UK eBay store - which is run by ChitterChatter, the same company in your play.com link. I'm hoping it gets delivered at some point this week.
There's quite a few sellers advertising an XT890 unlock on ebay for less than £10, so it seems pretty straight forward to get the handset unlocked.
Looking into people who bought the RAZR i last time Orange sold them for this price, the handsets themselves don't have any Orange branding. Usually, Orange really go over the top with their branding so it's nice to know these won't have that problem.

Three raised there price to £249.99 a day after I bought mine for £149.99 :') guess I was lucku

305SH unlock thread

Hi, guys, lots of sellers in China and Japan are selling unlocked 305SH, they are offering unlock service as well. I believe someone with great skill has known the way to unlock 305SH, but they don't want to share. Actually I paying for unlock service is acceptable, but they said I must post my phone to China or Japan. It's really expensive to post it from Australia. I'm now confused, why it can't be unlocked remotely? I see lots of threads talking about unlocking 306SH. Is 305SH forgotten? I create this thread and hope someone can help us to unlock it.

sorry to hear ，im in china ，but chinese unlock trader dont want to be unlocked remotely，i think it must be easy to unlock if u see the process of that，so they all need u post phone，i have a aquos crystal X (japan 305sh Upgraded version--》402SH)，they all dont want unlock my phone，now unlock 402sh is very Expensive，about 900USD，so they just make money and dont want help us everyone

Well, if ur good at something never do it for free. Thats how it works.
And the Aquos Crystal Community is small, there are not many developers/programmers who work on root/unlock. I guess if you want a unlocked Phone the only way is to pay right now.
Sad but true.

i means just want pay for unlock 402SH，but they dont help me to unlock my phone，because i bought in Japan，they just sell unlock 402sh in hes shop

Who has the phone, you can try to flash the bootloader through QPST (QFIL) to turn off the phone.
Generally funny phone for almost a year, hucksters is unlock phone but developers xda can not.

I used hyper sim unlock for 302sh, 303sh, 304sh, 305sh, 402sh... all model have network but some time no recieve from out number.
I am from VietNam, I can Mr.sim, bb sim, or smart sim on mainboard... Plz help me, why not recieve call. I can call and sms normal.

try use 2G, not use 3G, i think it will be has recieve call, like iphone

i tried it and it doesn't have driver -_-

How you were able to trim the hypersim? I have a hypersim on hand and scared to cut it because it is intended on regular sized sim cards..
But in theory, yes, the hypersim will work on the softbank android phones in general. and make sure you use 2G only for full call and text functionality but GPRS data won't work as the phone locks its fixed APN..
On the other hand,.. I located the modem partition on this phone. sadly I can't extract that because it requires ROOT..
it is on mmcblk0p11

Driver receive:
1. Turn off the phone
2. Connect your phone to your computer.
3. In Control Panel, System, Device Manager, disk drives, hardware ID.
4. You copy a string ID, find and put the driver to work with memory directly.
5. If there is an additional lock may need to not just turn the phone off and on and off the battery.

I won't even bother to try that as again, fastboot seems not to be available on this phone or rather no concrete key combinations to access fastboot/bootloader..
adb reboot recovery doesn't take effect either as the stock recovery is only achieved by holding vol up + power\
I've been searching / taking observations of my 305SH now. until now, I still have no progress on how to dump , root, fastboot this thing. But I won't give it up yet.

Hello guys, am a new member here, am deeply in need of your help.
i bought a smartphone from Japan Sharp Aquos Serie SHL25, it's a wonderful phone and i love it.
the problem is that its locked on Japan network known as AU. i only use my phone with wi-fi. i searched everywhere in google on any method i can get to unlock it so that i can use it with my carrier but found nothing. Am pleading to any person with the knowledge to do so. :crying::crying:

tried that already, but they told me to send the phone over to japan where i dont know anyone there. and i cant risk sending my phone to someone i have no clue about!! isnt there another method?

I understand what u mean, i was in your position too, when i bought my Sharp aquos crystal x 402sh which was locked to softbank , i researched alot and came across nothing, only option is to send phone to him to unlock, he is most reliable and quickest , otherwise u will have a locked phone.

may be i should do that. and how much is the cost of unlocking my phone? just wanna know so that i can get enough csh for the whole process like shipping it and everything.

Wait a minute... Are you saying you are using Sharp Aquos Crystal X in the US!? If that's the case please explain how you did it and what carrier you are on.

I also have an Sharp Aqous Crystal 402SH phone but its also locked with Softbank. Is there already a method now that we can use aside from sending the phone to someone else?Thank you
