[Q] help with S5 and odin please!! - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm sorry but I'm not the most tech savvy person on this planet but I will do my best to explain my situation
Two nights ago my S5 got stuck on Samsung logo and has not done anything else since. I CAN NOT get it into Recovery Mode or Safe Mode.....only Download mode. After researching I decided to flash the stock firmware for SM-G900A. Downloaded the firmware from RapidGator. And downloaded Odin 3 v3.09. Also downloaded Keis3. First time I tried to run Odin, it told me PIT file was not found (or something like that). I'm not sure why I have to have the PIT file but I found it in a thread on XDA and added it to the PIT section in Odin.
This is the message screen on Odin

Is there something that I am doing wrong? A step I'm missing? Or is my phone done for?

if you use single tar file do not check re-partition option
open odin use default auto-reboot and F.reset time only

Hello,
same result.
Run as administrator (Right click on the icon)
Use Odin 3.07
If that doesn't work then download a 4.3 file and flash that onto the device.

Do you think the JTAG can solve my problem?
Did you try basic stuff like:
A different usb cable
A different usb port
A different pc?
You are not running Odin on a virtual machine are you?
Did you try redownloading the firmware? Did you try other firmwares?
OTA update samsung missed
I tried everything! Nothing works!
Did you try flashing a custom recovery and then try to flash a custom rom from there?

re,
How do I flash a custom rom without access to recovery?

The S4 has gone on a JTAG date.
Told you please uncheck re-partition option...you use single file

Note 3 retail failed flash, please help

Hello,
I had Alliance ROM and tried to flash Jasmine 5.0, but the phone restarted before it finished and now the phone only show either the "Samsung Galaxy Note 3" logo or download mode, recovery is gone.
When I try to enter recovery mode, the phone vibrates once and the screen stays black if i release the power button, but keep holding volume up and home.
If i dont release power, it keeps vibrating and a black screen.
I tried restoring to any possible image, MJE, NC2, NC4 and OB6, using Odin 3.09. All fail.
Tried using a Pit file, since the other error states that it cant find a pit file, that also failed.
Odin log is with Pit file:

That list is the same, no matter what.
Is anything else I can try or this phone just gone?

Go to either a Verizon Company store or to Best Buy and go to the Samsung experts (at the Samsung section) and have them do a complete flash.
They can flash it to pure stock. There should be no issues since Knox and Warranty fuses are not blown
Just tell them it got knocked off the desk in the middle of an upgrade and the battery popped out.

Damn, thats a good advice and it didnt occur to me before.
I actually called Samsung and after talking to one of their techs, they recommended to send it to them.
Sadly, it will cost 80 bucks, but per one of the devs here, it does looks like a part of knox locked the storage and only a new motherboard can fix this.
Either way, 80 bucks is not that bad, given that the alternative is buying another phone for 250 or so.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge stuck in boot mode

I tried to root my phone for the first time. I saw a guide on Youtube and decided why not. It was relatively easy to follow and I am sure I followed it 100% correctly. I managed to see SuperSU, however, it failed to install the proper packages and would always tell me to reboot. Other problems I encountered were Google Play would not open, and every couple of seconds a service would stop working along with it. So I decided to un-root my phone. I found a factory version SM-G395PVPU2APC5, went into download mode, and as of right now it has been stuck here every since. I can alternate between download mode and boot mode but that's about it. I couldn't properly install the factory version because this message pops up every time I try:
ODIN MODE (HIGHSPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G395P
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FAP LOCK: OFF
WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
AP SWAEV: B4(2,1,1,1,) K1 S3
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
SW REV CHECK FAIL: [system]Fused 3 > Binary 1
On Odin it has a similar message:

Please, please help. I have looked everywhere for hours to try and find a solution. I have downloaded gigabytes upon gigabytes of different factory versions, I think I am going insane because of this problem.

It is because you forgot to enable OEM unlocking, and now you have FRP lock, but don't worry, you just have to flash stock ROM again using odin ( download firmware from Sammobile ).
And next tine time you try to root, do not forget to enable OEM unlocking in developers menu.

Stuck in bootloop after root attempt

Hi everyone,
I've been out of the android rooting world for a while now but I was sent a Galaxy s7 Edge from Samsung as part of their device insights program. I had the same issue. I changed the usb port i was using on my computer.
Update: Solved using Samsung smart switch program
SW REV CHECK FAIL : [system]Fused 3 > Binary 2
You were on ver 3 of the binary trying to odin a version 2 build. You can't go backwards, only same bl version or newer. The bl version is built into the build number. For example, G935TUVU4APK1 build the 4 designates the bl version. You can flash that over version 3 (what you were on) but none of the builds with a 2 in them would work. Hope that helps explain it.
Well I have no problem with the Nouggat Stock ROM but in fact I´m facing the same issue, so, do anyone have the unlcoked firmware in order to be free to use any sim in any country?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
Gowmi.
Ok this is the current and correct one.
