[Q] lg g2 screen defect? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

when at max brihtness and black image on background, i see gray dots at some angles, i see it barely when i look it barely 180 degrees. what is it? any help?:crying:

Any idea?

It is possible that this is a failure in the loca glue between the digitizer and the glass.
I think there is nothing to do against it.
The only thing you can do is to change the whole display.
But this option isn't cheap and not easy.

Wizard screen mod

Hi there,
I've just stripped down my Wizard for a repaint job, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to re-tint the lcd screen, so it would blend in with the silver and black paint scheme I am building. I can get some of the commercial car window tinting foil, but am still a little apprehensive about applying it to the lcd. Using Dferreiras HTC touch module gives a decent display on the 50% brightness mark, so a tint should be pretty useable with a higher brightness setting (battery saving be damned, it looks cool)
Any ideas folks
Thanks

I would buy some screen protectors for only a few dollars and then apply the tint to the protector then apply the protector to the LCD. This way you are not permanently changing the LCD and you can remove it easily if it does not look good or the brightness is too dim.

[Q] weird broken screen corner

I don't know how to explain this. The corner of the screen is somehow 'broken'. I am not familiar with the construction of such an LCD display. I thought it was the screen protector....but it isn't, I can see by pressing with the finger that it is BELOW the surface, and it is not a bubble of the screen protector. Also the nexus 7 surface is one single surface, and there would be no reason why the screen protector would lift exactly in that point. It has something to do with the real display, below the glass surface. See photos.
The colours are displayed correctly. Also the problem is not visible on high brightness or lighter colours. But i simply hate it not having everything in the right shape, as much as i hate dead pixels (I luckily haven't for the moment).
Would this be a good reason to have it replaced by warranty?
The device comes from 'Mediaworld' which is a chain in europe (or mediamarkt, in germany). Would I have to remove ROOT before I go and ask?

Is this Screen Gap Bleeding Light?

Just notice it today after change of screen protector. Previous screen protector no such issue.
Look at the left gap.
Thanks.

I uploaded new pics taken from ipad.
When i open a black color app. I dont see the green or red light at the gap. Screen protector doesnt cover that gap line too. But it did cover the right part. Where there no light bleeding.
:crying:
There seems to be a problem with your screen. I don't think it has anything to do with the gap. Looks like you have an entire column of dead pixels. The gap (if you have it) is about 4mm away from the edge of the screen, so if you did have light bleeding due to the gap it would be away from the edge of the visible screen.
I run the test. No dead pixel. Could it be effect from glass protector?
You can't have backlight bleed on an AMOLED display. There is no backlight.

Screen is brighter on all edges

Hello everybody,
I just notice today that my screen has brighter frame all over the edges. It is not very noticeable, i can even say that it is faint, but it is there. And it it constant all over the edges so is not light bleed ( i know what light bleed is, i had many devices with light bleed) . It is more noticeable on white or light grey background . I think it is the glue that keep the digitizer and display togheter.
The phone is 1 year old.
It is a common issue or is just mine? Ca you take a look at yours a little with a little attetion please?
Best regards.
I attached a edited photo that replicate the issue.

You sure it's not your screen protector not sticking on the sides perfectly? The 2.5D glass leaves a "halo" effect when you put a screen protector on.
No , it is not the screen protector , i'm 100% sure.

Screen Burn In

Hello. I own this device for almost two months now and three days ago I've noticed that there is yellow screen burn on the right top corner of the device which is visible only on white background. I'm wondering if there is way to fix it without screen replacing . And since it's LCD I've heard that it's possible to get rid of burn. Thanks.
Did U use any screen protectors with gel?

Nope, I haven't applied any protection.
this sounds to me more like the LCD took some damage not bad enough to release the LCD Fluid but to make a blemish, i had this happen when i damaged my old screen
That's not burn, that's LCD damage. Phone has been dropped and hit that corner. Burn would be more uniform across the entire display.
