Just want to give thanks for this rom to whomever put it together. Master? Not sure I'm not to involved with the roms usually. But my Vibrant is an entirely different phone now. Seems to be using the hardware now to its potential. I can't get over how smooth the phone is. No more hitching or lag when you scroll around the screens. My programs all work better now. Stitcher Radio now loads up quicker. Doesn't reset or stop on its own. One little thing is that the orientation seems to be off. When I tilt the phone horizontally for example the image doesn't change over. Regardless, this is a small thing compared to the overall improvement of the device. I'm a newbie to flashing roms but now can't wait for the next one!

@azure100. Last night I went to plug in the phone for charging before going to bed. About 10pm. The phone read 71% battery. Kinda shook my head in disbelief. Especially since I get up at 5am! I didn't have my phone on a charger all day but I did have it USB'd to my laptop for a total of about 30mins moving some files and playing around. I'm sure it picked up some charge there? Still, it seemed like a lot of battery life left for that time of day. Usually I make it until about 8pm before the phone is fully out of juice. I'll keep a eye on it today. I won't hook it up to any charger or pc and report back.
Ok so I got three hours before it changed from 100 percent. Battery on this Rom is really good

I wake up at 6 a.m. and battery will last me until around 11 p.m. That is the longest I have let it run without recharging. Normal use. Ill have about 25-30% bat level at that time. I think this is pretty awesome. What I mean by normal use is I am making a phone calls and just checking email. No connecting to wifi etc.. Obviously there will be more battery drain then.
Charging seems to take a while. Even from the wall it just feels to charge slow. But not snail pace or anything. The battery is def lasting longer than before I flashed it.
I've been going back and forth between Axura2.2.5.9 and NeroV3 lol. To me, these ROM are both awesome. It really comes down to customization preferences and how each specific ROM reacts to your individual Vibrant. For my Vibrant, the battery is a little bit better on NeroV3. GPS is somewhat comparable. As a matter of fact, I've been manually customizing my Vibrant by taking bits and pieces of what I like from the Axura ROM and incorporating onto my NeroV3 core.
BTW: Is it just me or others simply do not care?????? In Axura2.2.5.9, the audible tone is not working on the dial pad even when the option is enabled in settings.

Ok. Two days ago I put a newly charged battery in at 3pm. It didn't fully die until after 10pm last night! So over 31 hours on one charge. Granted, Ive been sick so the phone hasn't been used as much. Phone calls. Email but no games, gps or anything like that. WiFi, Bluetooth on. Still, even with light use, the most I was getting is 15 hours thats it. So this rom looks real good for battery
Also want to throw a quick thanks out. I have really started enjoying this phone more than struggling with it. I might even hang onto it for a bit.

So glad I traded in my Epic today for the Shift. This just topped it off.

You make a good point OP. I'm curious why you moved from the Epic? I'm actually contemplating going the other way around although I might give the Shift a second chance. It's starting to grow on me so as long as I can get around the battery dying in 4 hours thing.

As a current owner of all 3 sprint 4G phones DONT DO IT dont move to the epic stick to one of the Evo's if the wobbly keyboard of the epic doesnt get you the laggy RFS (which can be corrected now) filesystem will, or lack of official froyo (yea the leak works great but lacks the polish feel) you also have the lack of girth it just feels like its going to break in your hands and the screen isnt quite as bright its vivid but only gets about 75% as bright as the evo.
I have some side by side shots if you would like to see em.
^ It's okay, but thanks for the offer. I played with all 3 in the Sprint store for an hour before making a decision. I'm just having second thoughts, because I'm missing a larger screen, but I'm hoping to get around it.
Ok, I'm not familiar with this feature. What is it?
When you are typing a box, try holding down your finger. You will see a magnified popup either above or below your finger. At this point you can see easier so you can slide the cursor around effortlessly.

I nearly returned the phone for the same reason. I did a factory reset, then charged the phone until the light turned green, then unplugged and turned the phone off and recharged until the light turned green, then unplugged till the light turned off and then plugged in again until the light turned green.
It took about an hour each time, but now my battery is working great. I am only adding one app each cycle and will watch my battery usage.

There must have been something wrong with your setup. I'm 36 hours without a charge and at 30% battery left. I'm not doing anything different than I ever have. I've never had an android phone last this long not even my Optimus S which I thought was the best on battery.
I'm guessing you had something running at 100% cpu in the backround. I noticed I had a download hang up in the market and that killed my phone in a few short hours the first day I got it. I didnt know it was stuck trying to download until the next time I went into the market.

This is a very handy feature...good looking out.
i think the battery life is great, i'm getting between 13 and 15 hours a day and the battery is still at 35% when i plug it in.
i have Sync set to one hour: 2 gmail accounts, facebook and weather.
WiFi is always turned on (and connected about 80% of the time)
Bluetooth is always on and connected to my headset
4G is off (don't live in a 4G market)
GPS is off (turned it off to test 3G speeds and never turned it back on, i don't think it does much in th way of impacting battery life)
and my brightness is set to Auto.
i'm sure i could get more life out of it but i can't justify turning off all the phones features to do so.
this thing is night and day better than my Evo when it comes to battery life, i bought the Seidio 3500mah battery for my Evo and it only gets about 19 hours on a good day, stock battery i was lucky to get 8 hours.
haha funny thing though, i have my Evo on me for testing roms and such, i'm at 40 hours and it's at 27% on the extended battery, thats with everything but WiFi turned off and i hardly touch it during the day.

As far as I know you have to root for it. Stock ICS seems to have it loaded into the system as far as I can tell.
And damn you guys have some impressive battery life. I think I'm gonna start tweaking a few things past just the kernel and the OC/UV settings. If I had a decent foot in developing I would work on a truly dedicated ICS rom with the best life I can get from it. The ones we currently have already do a good job as is.

Could I request that people attach their ROM and Kernel along with these screenshots? It would be nice if everyone could have the same battery life!

True, but if you looked at some of the graphs you will notice many users that posted were actually using their phones. One user had 35 hours up time with plenty of battery left with "Screen On" at the top of battery consumption, probably correlating to greater than 2.5 hours of screen on time.

Fair enough. But, if you find a screen shot of battery use with <5-10% remaining and greater than 25% 'Screen On' usage that isn't near or over 150 minutes of screen on time, please send me a pm. I've looked throughout these threads at many battery graphs and haven't seen one with that high of screen usage without the screen being on for nearly 2.5 hours or more- (with the exception of people getting dismal battery life of course, i.e. 2 hours and 90% drained, etc.).
Hi folks,
Just to see how the use of the phone is like here, what's the longest you've ever kept the display on continuously and what app/game were you running?
Cheers.
For me it's got to be close to 10 - 12 hours. I may have turned it off a couple of times in that period to use the restroom or eat, but you can assume it's almost constantly on.
I was using the studydroid app, and then intermittently surfing the web.

Just watched "The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo" on my flight from LAX > NYC... was planning on watching a second/third movie but was too afraid of killing my bat and not being able to access hopstop when we arrived =/ That sure was not the case! I had over 70% battery left even after using it to surf/listen to music at the airport before our flight...
Love this battery! Using stock LC1
I have average 3 and half hours of display time in regular day. Using note from 12h-16h on full battery to about 10%.

About 34 hours (plugged to ac adaptor). For online webcast. It has not touched for about ~34 hours. Standing on a shelf with a running Safari browser (stock browser) at flash online translation of video conference. Wifi on, screen always on with SwitchPro widget.
6-7 hours, while playing/observing chess on ICC App. the setting was to stay the screen on which comes as an option in the application itself,it was on battery but didnt notice how much was left after the session as it was already past five in the morning
Couldnt get to sleep, since wife was in the mood of high toned snoaring,
Have any of you experienced the burnt in yet? Look carefully!
34 hours, that's a record so far for continuous use!
If I'm using the stock battery, I can only get about 7 - 10hours max. But since I use the hyperion extended battery, I can usually get over 14 hours. Hyperion battery last longer than I can lol. Keep in mind studydroid doesn't drain nearly as much battery as watching a movie or playing a game.
I would make sure you guys are using launchers that hide the notification bar or apps that have the option to hide the notification bar. Otherwise you will have terrible burn out on the top of the screen.
Also try to rotate the phone from right to left when viewing in landscape as that will help prevent burn out.
If you don't think your amoled screen can burn out do an LCD test and take a look at the blue screen test....Then you'll see why you should not leave static images on the screen for long periods of time.
Samsung Screen Test:
type this into the phone dialer and press on the blue and green.
*#*#0*#*#*
The burn in is not permanent. Due to the volatile nature of AMOLED in terms of obtaining burn-ins, I'm fairly certain you can download clips to flush and reduce the burn-in's persistence.
After a while, just use the damn phone and enjoy it. Stop worrying.

Browsing the internet is taxing on the cpu, it changes frequency constantly etc. When you are watching for example a movie, the cpu stays at a constant, lowest possible frequency and consumes less power. Thats why tests on engadget usually show 6-8 hours of screen on time.

The burn out of the amoled pixels is permanent. They slowly fade until you can clearly see ghosting of the static image on top of an active screen. This has happened with my galaxy s and sII. So to prevent pixel wear avoid static images on amoled screens.

If coming from op1 or any other flagship device?
SO far, none. The OPO was the best phone I ever owned. I just got the OPT and after 24 hours it has amazed me. Some glitches here and there but nothing a software OTA cannot fix.
None. Certainly not with all the development going on here already. I'll enjoy the heck out of my phone.
My gripes since I had to buy on swappa.com, as I ordered on 9/1 and still don't have the actual phone.
1) Exchange only through Gmail. Poor implementation.
2) Can't see battery as percentage. Prefer time in middle on top.
3) slider notification should be reversed
4) no stock Gallery app (only accessible through photo app)
The phone is beautiful but let's be honest here, it is a buggy mess!

Well to be honest, point 1 & 2 are the same for stock Android. What do you mean with 3 exactly?
And actually, you can change the battery as percentage. Head to Settings > Battery and tap the battery icon next to the menu icon. It gives you inter alia an option to show percentage.
#3 would be the physical notifications slider on the left.

In my opinion the placement is perfect, also for the other buttons. That's personal preference of course. You're welcome by the way.
My stock messaging app doesn't consolidate my conversations properly. It creates to separate threads for one conversation, it shows one thread for what I text and a separate thread for my friend's responses??? Does anyone know how to fix this so the "back and forth" is in one thread?
Currently the OPT has a big failure that may force me to sell it. My contacts are only synced with 'mobile' to my car radio. So I am forced to choose of 6 'mobile' numbers from a list of only ONE mobile number of my wife. Not really a big bug but a total fail for me because I daily call my wife from the car while driving home. This is the one feature that really has to work but it does not.
With the ONE all works as you could expect. The Parrot Asterroid syncs without a fail and offers me the numbers correctly tagged with 'mobile', 'work', 'home' and so on. The TWO fails on this. So not really my phone atm.
no regrets. just little bugs that need to be addressed. fingerprint scanner works perfect for me also

I agree. I've reset my fingerprints to the way I hold the phone usually. It's still hit or miss. If i've just been using the phone, it works. If I leave the phone to sit for some time, i need to use the power button to wake it, then the sensor works.

For e, battery is a big disappointment so far. I hope with custom ROMs and kernels battery life should improve. Other than that, pretty much satisfied. However, does not feel like much of an upgrade over the one.
Battery is a big one for me as well, but I know future releases will solve that. The other thing would be heat. In 10mins of having the screen on, it jumps from ~26 degrees (where it idles) to ~40 degrees.
I'm surprised about the battery complaints. It's been really good for me. I can easily get 5-6 hours sot. Today I'm at 1hr 18mins sot with 78% battery left and exactly 14 hours since I unplugged it from the charger. Maybe I'm just lucky
