As confirmed by Sony HK and reported by Xperiablog.net the Z3 is coming in purple after all...
If it's going to launch globally I'd choose purple over the copper Z3 anytime... :fingers-crossed:
Purple is pretty fabulous (I like it too), but black is still for me!
Nah, there's no better than copper. You just think purple is better when it's harder to get.

Just came across some pictures of a white Xperia arc on a Chinese forum. Thought I'd share this. Seems like a leaked prototype running 2.3.1.

NICE, go with my white X10.
It looks really nice, better than the silver one
It reminds me of my old X10 (also white)
Sony have a history of releasing their products in many different colours, especially in Japan and Asian Markets. The ARC is already available in;
- Midnight Blue
- Misty Silver
- Sakura Pink (Japan only ?)
- Black (UK only ?)
I am jealous that Japan get phones in so many colours, it would be nice to get that in NA.
The silver one is better. I handled a prototype white one and silver beats it. Much classier. To the last poster, Canada is black.
White one looks little cheap in pics :$ Silver is sexy & Black/Midnightblue is elegant
How many generations does it take to build the perfect smartphone? In this video I will show you all differences between Sony Xperia Z vs. Sony Xperia Z1 and Sony Xperia Z2. What exactly has changed between models and is it worth upgrading?
Nice comparison. I'll be able to choose a new device from August, so I'll probably wait for the z3 by then

Great review!
Btw. is it just my eyes or is it so that the Z1 has the brightest/contrasty Screen out of the three?

For some reason the wallpaper is lighter on Z1. When you look at the video playback on all three they are almost identical. I have been looked closely at all three and the brightness is almost the same. The viewing angles on the Z2 are far superior though.

almost all camera gadgets are available in market, i have latest timeshift, AR effect(this with sounds), motiongraph and this cool blurred background mode, when you shoot two images and play with background, its a bit buggy but work
I really don't like the lack of soft-touch edge on the Z1/2 like on the Z. I understand the metal frame makes it more durable and more premium, but after holding the Z, the Z1 and up feel incredibly slippery in the hand as a result.
I generally like the design of the Z better than that of its sucessors.
The soft-touch was great, aluminum is generally a bad idea when there are antennas nearby and it really destroys the look iam loving the Z for right now.
The plain black monolitic all-around, with the frame that is like pebble-blueish when looked at in the sunlight.
Just great imo.
For me the Z1/Z2 are a step back regarding the sleek elegant design that was inherent to the Z, except for a few changes.
The flap-less headphone jack is really the only thing that i really found to be annoying about the Z, and the 3200mah is also a great step forward.
Other than that there isnt really much beside hardware-specs that was improved in my opinion.
Still missing such a feature like IR, maybe with the Z3?
Display was always kinda okayish when looking straight at it, and due to the bad viewing angles i dont need any kind of "privacy-filter" foil or similiar
Things that should get improved is the Picture-Quality in dark conditions and in macro-mode i hate that blur-filter that seems to destroy any little detail i was used to see on a lot older devices.
There have been Sony-Ericcson's Cybershot phones that are now pretty much "historical" that took more natural or even in general better looking images.
Its also sad for me to know that my five year old phone takes better macro-shots
Anyways, we'll see.
:highfive:
my xz is the best
It is like in the automobile sector. The first facelift is the best balance between price and features. All the bugs from the protoype version are solved. The features are not to overwhelming and the price is ok.
Z - Feels like a prototype phone. Has many things done good but also has many thing that just feel low quality...
Z1 - Feels like hell-a-lot of an improvement - better screen, and build quality. Still not perfect with those bezels and not as great viewing angles.
Z2 - *Z design brang to perfection* Great screen with good bezels and viewing angles.
I went to store with intent to buy Z2, the display model was abhorrent, the screen was misaligned, there were huge gaps around the screen and middle frame and if that wasnt bad enough the screen was flickering away. As a Z1 owner I couldnt help notice also that the entire look and feel was less premium than Z1. Im sticking with Z1 very disappointed as I was looking forward to 4K vid and display improvements.
Hi everyone, I watched a YouTube video about the Xperia Z5 Premium, I was really disappointed when I saw the guy using the camera...because there was a really noticeable pink tint on the middle of the screen, the same as the Xperia Z3 which my girlfriend change for a S6 edge after 3 return to sony who gave 3 new Xperia Z3
Actually what do you think about it ? Z5 (Premium) on camera test has been marked better than the s6 edge...but with an other test on YouTube (not a "professional ") we can clearly see that the s6 edge is really better...

Does sony give a better phone to professional test ?
Here youtube video where you can notice the famous pink tint :
(sorry if there some mistakes in English because I'm French)
It could be a developer or preview unit or even perhaps it could be due the camera
Sometimes the camera looking at a digital display may offset some things

Same here ^^
Tbh, the pictures of the s6 looks kinda fake (albeit being gorgeous at the same time) if I want oversaturation, I would do it on the computer and not have all my pictures be over coloured. Let's see what the z5 can dish out

No, there is no pink tint when looking it with eyes. it comes from the camera this is being filmed on.

Exactly. It's his face reflection.
i got a z5 premium gold and i can confirm that pink tint is not there so you all don't have to worry about it my z3 did get pink well not pink but dark round circle ball shadow kind of mark from camera but after sony released 5.1.1 to it the dark shadow thing disapeared in the camera so i hope this issue wont occure on z5 premium as well.
I have same in my Z3 Dual
I don't have this problem on my Xperia Z5 Premium Dual (E6883) Malaysia version, mine is clear and no pink stuff on the center.
Sony Xperia XA review: Where did the bezels go?
At the launch of the Sony Xperia XA earlier this year, there was confusion among the attending journalists. Which was the premium handset? This one, or the Xperia X it launched alongside?
The reason for the confusion was not the phone’s specifications, but the design, which is exceptional. It’s the bezels, or rather the lack of them, that really catch the eye here. To the left and right of the screen, instead of the usual two to three millimetres, it appears there’s no gap at all. At least that’s what Sony wants you to think. Switch on the Sony Xperia XA and it’s evident there’s still a narrow black border surrounding the display, but it’s only 1mm thick.

In fact, to my eyes, the Sony Xperia XA is a more attractive phone than the company’s premium Xperia X. Even the plastic back feels nice under the finger, and a pearlescent finish gives it an unusually exotic appearance. The white version I’m testing here has a subtle, coloured sheen that glimmers pink when it catches the light. The phone is also available in Lime Gold, Rose Gold and Graphite Black.
And, given that it’s plastic, another bonus is that you’ll be decidedly less concerned about it shattering into a million sharp pieces if you happen to drop it. All in all, the Sony Xperia XA is a finely honed smartphone, which is impressive given the reasonable price tag.
