Is there anyway to deactivate the flip cover from waking?
I dont know if can be done within settings but piece of tape over contacts inside cover should do the trick.

I am now using the S View Cover, when I close the cover, the screen change to S View Cover mode but it turn off too fast ( about 6 sec).
I want to ask is there any way to set the screen timeout in S View Cover mode?
Sorry for my poor English...

No people? i would like to know also.. I want to tweak it to 2 seconds timeout.
Hey S4 users, I recently bought the S-View flip cover as I found it to be more practical than the normal flip cover and more protective to the screen than back covers as some people reported that tha Amoled may break easily under normal circumstances, back to the topic im a truecaller user and I found the pop up that comes on top of the screen when receiving calls covering the answering/rejecting sliders while using the s-view, so I cant answer or reject call till the truecaller popup diminishes. I think I didn't catch any call
Any ideas here, other than not using truecaller with s-view

any help?
Hi
I have an official G2 Quickwindow case for my G2. I'm really impressed and happy with it. But there is this annoying feature that I would like to disable.
When the screen cover is flipped closed while the screen is on,the phone goes to'quickwindow' mode. I know it's an in built feature but I would prefer the screen turning off when the cover is flipped close.
Disabling the quickwindow case under 'accessories' will not cut it as I want the screen to turn on when the case is opened and the quickwindow mode activated when the screen is gestured on while cover is closed.
I'm free to any options. Do help me if you can! Thanks! ?
Cheers

Did you get to resolve this issue, im in same boat as you
What would be causing my screen to be turning on by itself? Did I trip some settings on accident?

There is a setting for hand gestures or s voice that would do that

Where?

Still haven't found

that's not the issue.... something else causing it.. hand gestures turned off
Are you using it naked? As much as I hate cases, I ended up putting Poetic something bumper case on my Note 3 to prevent power, volume and home buttons getting turned on all the time while my phone is in my pocket.
its not just doing it in my pocket... i used the pocket as an example..... here is what is happening....... turn the phone over (the sensor is looking at a dark area).. screen goes black after a few seconds..... now flip phone back over in a lighted room.... unlock screen appears with no touches of the button...(tried this 50 times now at least)... if i cover the sensors at the top with my hand.. then uncover them... lockscreen comes on.. (not the notifications screen, that is entirely different)..... all motion gestures are turned off..... i've tried all the obvious stuff (unless i'm missing a "phone in pocket" option or something.. tried to find one... didn't come across any.. all though i may have missed a few spots in settings.. this is driving me nuts though... tried it with case/ without case... all the same..
Nobody?

Doesn't sound like the problem you're having, but my home button got pressed in my pocket all the time. So I used an Xposed module (Wanam, I think) to make the home button not turn the screen on anymore.
well not sure why.. but i did a soft reset... everything was already on my card. just had to redownload stuff.... wasn't too far in so no real biggy.... soft reset fixed the issue...... i messed with it for 4 hours last night trying everything.. nothing worked.. soft reset worked.... why? who knows..... same apps are back on...... makes me a little uneasy honestly
Hello, recently I observed that when I put(lay) my XA2 on my laptop on specific position - near(next) to the touchpad my XA2 display turns immediately off - and when I grab it out then immediately turns on - exactly same way like with original sony flip cover... So it bring me idea that original flip cover uses some specific magnetic(electric so NFC?) array (or field) ion some specific condition... like some magnet on both sides of original flip cover and when closed magnetic field changes, ...Im supposing that, becose my laptop does not have any NFC and that there must be some electric or magnetic field created by my laptop to make my XA2 thinks there in a original flip cover and thats why switching on/off display of XA2... Maybe its magnetic maybe electric field that simulates NFC??? So maybe it will help someone to observe more than me (cos im not developer... ) and make the cusom flip cover works same way as originals...

Hello,
I have the official Sony smart cover. There is a little magnet at the bottom right of the cover. This magnet activate sleep and wake up function. Hard to find such a little magnet especially one that doesn't disturb the compass sensor.
