[Q] Sound problem - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I recently tried to flash cyanogenmod 12 and now I have a problem with sound, none of it works, I try doing anything with sound and it just hangs.
Steps I have tried so far, wiping data and cache, factory reset, flashing stock firmware and formatting pretty much everything and now im out of ideas on how I can solve this.
its been happening for several days now no matter what rom I switch to so im thinking perhaps a link to the audio hardware is not there.
not sure what logs to provide so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be hugely appreciated.
my phone is a note 3 (sm-n9005)

More details and a logcat
not sure whats important or how to collect the data.

Several days in and still no clue how to fix it. Tried flashing the 5.0 leak and updating everything even the boot loader I even repartitioned the phone to try and make sure no bad data was being saved. Still the same errors as before.

I reinstalled my OS on my phone to fix the slow down issues.

but it didn't seem to fix the sluggishness of things. I had thought I did a fresh install but when it booted into the new OS (cyanogen 5.0.7) it still retained some of my old settings and icons on the desktop. Well this doesn't seem very fresh to me and I am wondering what can I do to fix my problem. I know 5.0.7 is experimental but it's still acting the way it did before the install. What can I do to wipe everything and start completely fresh?
You have to boot into recovery mode and to a system wipe which will clear out the cache, your settings, call history, texts, apps installed on the internal memory, etc etc. It sounds like you just reinstalled the ROM without wiping which doesn't do anything regarding getting rid of your existing settings.
I have done that but it doesn't seem to wipe everything. I do that and boot back in the OS and there are still some of my apps I had before still installed. I have another problem too. Mine is a rogers phone and when I rooted before I seem to have installed the wrong version because instead of the rogers logo during boot up it is the T-Mobile G1 logo. So I installed the US version by mistake. I do not remember what part of the install is responsible for that part of the software and don't know what to do. If anyone else knows how to fix that I would be grateful. I want to start right from scratch so it fixes that too. Thanx!
Well I'm pretty sure there is a good and solid reason that there are two different versions for the US and Canada. I would image all your problems are associated with the fact that you flashed the wrong version.
I am not sure what the fix is, maybe somebody else can weight in?
yeah...I can just re-flash it...I'm sure that's possible. The real question is...wtf did I even flash to begin. What's it called?

CM9 showing welcome screen each time phone boots

Hi! I'm using CM9 (4.1) on my Motorola Defy and I got a problem that seems pretty simple to solve but I can't figure it out.
Recently I had some problems with the SIM card, just to find out I just had to change the baseband to receive signal.
But it seems that after trying to solve that problem playing with recovery (bootmenu), each time I try to change the baseband and I restart so it takes effect, the phone just doesn't remember what I did previously, asking for the Google account all over again. And, obviously, the baseband didn't change as well.
I already tried wiping the cache, doing factory reset, and wiping dalvik and battery stats. Any help would be appreciated
Edit: Just in case, I had the SIM card problem before flashing CM, I mean, just after I rooted the phone

[Q] sgh 1337 UN stuck on Samsung splash screen (safe strap broken)

So, I have gotten myself in a bit of a pickle I however think I can get out of it by sideloading using EXT. SD, Im not sure what to flash to solve the dillemma however. So this is the situation. I have a (had) a rooted Galaxy s4 (sgh-i337 ucufnc1) with 4.4.2 android. It had safestrap installed and back ups of everything else in sd card and other locations just in case. The phone was acting buggy, so I formatted the phone with safestrap, the problem persisted, ill get into the issue a bit further down. So I booted back into safestrap, and did a complete wipe, however my sd card must've bumped out, because it didnt delete any media files or so it said, and then after the wipe it crashed. and refuses to boot into safestrap or even past the splash logo. I can get into download mode, but usb debugging isnt on anymore since i wiped it, I can get into the other mode as well ( cant for the life of me remember the name of it atm although i use it frequently) with some luck. I also happen to have all .md5 files from a backup i did about 4 months ago in tact, I cannot for the life of me get them to convert properly to apply them to the phone without safestrap however, if anyone has any insight to this please let me know also.
I can/will list any other information I have if anyone needs it, and if anyone can help it would safe a life!
The reason i reformatted it to begin with, was because media would stall, and when i plugged in the audio jack it'd freeze the entire app using it, then the whole phone would freeze. I believe it was due to lucky patcher but im unsure. The issue began when I altered the auto update file, and even after i rectified it, it persisted. At this time i have a phone soft bricked because it didnt delete all the media files and I assume something bugged onto the kernel image but Im not sure. If I can simply try to restore it to stock kernel then im fine with that.

UPDATE: I resolved the issue, by rooting, safestrapping, ripping the image files, from another galaxy s4 with alike descriptions. then i managed to side load it, then it booted properly, i then reformatted it completely back to 100% factory everything. Now my original problem persists, and i cant help feel that google services is causing it. (examnples of issues" proccess.gapps has stopped. anotrher process error code. phone calls can be made, but not recieved as it seems the server is too busy to n otice it, massive battery drain, audio takes several seconds to play, while video continues to play fine, audiojack is mostly unresponsive, phone calls that are made cannot recieve or send audio during call session, phone may freeze at unlock screen, or any time during operation, may even reboot from process overloading" now keep in mind. i removed every system file and app that the natural reformat will allow. so nothing applied by the user is on the phone, other than natural factory applications. Im digging a bit into the phone as i can but its a slow process whenit starts freezing. if anyone has any idea of what can be causing this, or how to fix this please inform me lol.

The best solution must be installing the stock firmware via odin. Since you are on NC1 , You can installed the stock NB1.
Here is guide explaining you using odin, installing NB1, root with towel root, updated NC1, install the safestrap. The guide was not specifically written for that but you can find those steps in the guide.
I will attempt to do this, since nothing since has work. I am about to get a new logic board for the system in the next 2 weeks. Towel root DOES typically work on this system, however the last time I attmpted it it failed to work outright. Im not sure what has changed with the device, but i believe reflashing stock is the best method. The phone now, will boot up, then skip the lock screen and go straight to the home screen, which is black with no pull down bar, or with no signal and there is no way to rectify it. Even if there were, it boots back down and launches back up and becomes locked at the ATT logo.
After a fair bit of messing with it, and recovery mode it will sometimes boot normally where it tells me that processes has failed and askes me to cancel the ''app''. This is the best option to update the phone and attempt root, but getting it here is so difficult because it reboots itself and the mode is rare to acquire. This problem either is due to the kernel, or the rom i believe. I also am to believe the powercell may have some issue, as i replaced the battery a few weeks back and it worked fine for about 1 week.
Booting into safemode doesnt work either as it skips over the lock screen straight to the home screen. Outsidce of replacing the logic board, or attempting another flash im at the end of the short rope i was already on in terms of options.

UPDATE: I found therein two methods to flashback to stock. I did so, then proceeded to attempt to flash from nb1 to nj4. Progress stopped there when it flung an error 7 at me. So this means either something in my phone is corrupted or the file i downloaded from the above mentioned forum is corrupted. I also attempted flashfire, but seen as it STILL crashes at random due to process errors thats almost impossible to attempt.

[Q] Note 4 N910F Bootloop

Hi folks,
I have a problem with my note4. I can't make it boot to OS, I tried flashing android 6.0.1, 5.1.1 and 5.0.1 with odin but none of them seems to be working. Flashing goes without a problem, however phone just keeps on rebooting after it displays: Samsung GALAXY Note4. I am able to access both recovery mode and download mode(I also tried wiping data and cache, but no luck). I wonder if anyone of you had similar problem and if you know is this a software or harware issue? Thanks in advance!
I can think of two different issues (both of which have been thoroughly discussed before, removing the need to start a new thread had you used the search function).
First: If connecting a charger stops the reboots, it's your battery. Easy fix as all you need is a new battery. Second, if it keeps rebooting when plugging in, your eMMC is probably failing. This is a hardware issue and can't be fixed at home.
But - before we jump into conclusions, can you provide a bit more details? The exact details of the roms you're trying to flash, how old your phone is, are the roms made for your exact model etc. Let's get to the bottom of this.

XT907 bricked (probably partitions in read-only)

Good morning.
After almost 3 years with no problems with a XT907, I have again an issue with it (this time, my father's one). Again, I come to you requesting help.
It all started with all apps crashing over and over. With an old XT907 I have for emergencies, the common fix method is flashing VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_1FF.xml.zip with RSD Lite v6.1.5 and all solved.
I tried that method with my father unit, and when it started again, all process were still crashing. I thought it was still nothing (just a harder issue), and tried flashing VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_CFC_1FF_SVC.xml.zip, just deleting all his data, to fix it.
When the process ended, it turned on and it had still the same problem. In this point, I got worried the /system and /data partitions got locked
I re-started, went to stock Recovery, and wiped system and cache. Then, went to Fastboot a third time and tried again flashing VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_CFC_1FF_SVC.xml.zip. Guess what? Still the same problem
The phone turns on, but ALL apps keep crashing over and over. I can't even take an screenshot, as it immediately reboots.
Someone know what happened with it? And... how to fix this issue?
