[Q] Note 4 N910F Bootloop - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi folks,
I have a problem with my note4. I can't make it boot to OS, I tried flashing android 6.0.1, 5.1.1 and 5.0.1 with odin but none of them seems to be working. Flashing goes without a problem, however phone just keeps on rebooting after it displays: Samsung GALAXY Note4. I am able to access both recovery mode and download mode(I also tried wiping data and cache, but no luck). I wonder if anyone of you had similar problem and if you know is this a software or harware issue? Thanks in advance!

I can think of two different issues (both of which have been thoroughly discussed before, removing the need to start a new thread had you used the search function).
First: If connecting a charger stops the reboots, it's your battery. Easy fix as all you need is a new battery. Second, if it keeps rebooting when plugging in, your eMMC is probably failing. This is a hardware issue and can't be fixed at home.
But - before we jump into conclusions, can you provide a bit more details? The exact details of the roms you're trying to flash, how old your phone is, are the roms made for your exact model etc. Let's get to the bottom of this.

[Q] i9505 Constant hangs and reboots

Recently I bought a Galaxy S4 i9505, But from the start I started running into problems Random restarts, Hangs, errors even after reinstalling several Stock/Custom roms, Formats, Re-Partitions no luck.
I have came to a conclusion that this might be a hardware issue. Now i would like to figure out which component can be causing the issue.
Will changing the motherboard rescue the device ?

S4 No sound, reboots when trying to access ringtone
It is now really getting to my nerves, I have updated to Lollipop and now back to Kitkat and the problem is same. There has been nothing done physically to the phone so still i am pretty sure that this is related to the software but the porblem is that the ringtones are not working, when i am trying to call people i cannot hear them and they cannot hear me, camera is super slow and when i am trying to come out of all this the phone reboots and at times gets stuck at the samsung logo.
Please do not suggest to do factory reset, cache cleat etc because i have done all this and still the issue is not resolved. Please please if any expert could bail me out here !!! seriously need your help !!!

Galaxy S4 (i9505) Motherboard Broken? Very special case.

Hi guys, i'm having big issues with my phone.
I was on imperium lollipop Rom, everything went fine, and i began to have call issues (bad reception quality), so i decided to update my modem & bootloader to the last lollipop ones. Then i installed a S6 port rom (by albe95), and my phone became crazy.
I have random reboots, shutdowns, sometimes i can pass through the simcode and i use the phone normally, and then it restarts like infinite times, i have to remove the battery. I wiped data, cache, dalvik cache, system like 50 times, i flashed another roms, the problem still exists. Sometimes i can't even get through the boot, it just shuts down.
I even tried to downgrade to a kitkat firmware, and return to imperium rom still the same problem encountered.
I really don't know the problem, i can access download and recovery menus, i can flash with odin, but can't get the phone to work normally.
Has anyone had the same problem? I'm starting to think that the motherboard is bricked, but why is it so random?
Thanks for your responses.
Best regards.

Strange scenario, i changed the motherboard, still the same problem, removed the sd card, same problem, sim too, same problem, so i guess this comes from the battery

Samsung Note 4 N910F is not stuck in bootloop, still doesn't really boot

Hey everyone,
I have been looking around online for several days now, but haven't been able to find a description of the problem I have with my n910f nor a solution.
When I got the phone it was stuck in bootloops and so I though it was soft bricked.
After I installed the custom rom and the latest version of TWRP via Odin, I thought that the problem was fixed, because the phone booted and I was able to start the configuration of Android (where it asks you for language, time zone etc.)
However, the phone turned itself off during this process. So I wiped everything and tried again, the same thing happened.
I then flashed it with Lineage, but it would turn itself off even before the logo appeared.
Then I flashed it with Ressurrection ROM, but again, the phone turns itself off during booting.
I can access download and recovery mode without any problems, I can flash roms and Odin works like a charm. I also used 2 different batteries.
Does anyone has an idea what I could try? Could it be the version of TWRP I am using (3.0.2.0)? Or is it a hardware issue?
Thank you!!
Hi, I have this exact same issue with my N910T and so far haven't found a solution to this. I really love my Note 4 so I'd like to know if this issue can be solved or not. I event went to a supposed repair shop and they couldn't figure out the problem, guess they weren't that good.
Sorry to hear this.
I have found issues that seemed similar, but not quite the same, and people hinted that it could be a worn out motherboard that is causing this top happen. But before I open up the phone (at the potential risk of breaking at least the screen) I would try everything else.
Or is there a way to test whether the motherboard is defective?
Its the plague of overheated, worn out emmc memories, sadly. Once it happen, the only way is a new/used motherboard, prefferably C model.
eMMC failure, snapdragon models are susceptible to this.

I suggest flashing stock rom with Odin after wiping your whole device in TWRP. I've had the same thing about 2 months ago.
Hey,
thank you for your responses. Yes, I read a lot about it being a motherboard problem.
I got it to work now thanks to this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/general/downgrade-official-mm-to-kitkat-t3383885
First nothing happened, but after I flashed Modem and the original Bootloader again (after installing the rom) the phone turned on and I was able to use it for a while (20mins maybe). Then suddenly it turned itself off and stayed on the "Samsung Galaxy" screen for a long time.
Apparently a lot of people are using Wakelock and it seems to be working for some of them, but that seems to defy the point somehow.

Which Stock Rom did you use exactly? Is your phone working fine?

Need help. Boot loop on J320P that was a friends.

Hey everybody, I need help. I have a J320P that is stuck in a boot loop, when it was found like this by my friend they came to me and asked if I could help. I have no information on how this happened other than they took a shower and when they came back it was like this. I have tried installing stock firmware 3 times to no luck. I might have an sd card somewhere with the backup for this phone but finding it would take some time so in the mean time I am turning to the forums. If anyone could help that would be amazing. I will provide more information and answer questions as they come.
Steps I have taken:
1. dirty flash of stock latest firmware
1. wiping the phone completely
2. Installing latest stock firmware
3. Still bootlooped
Not solved
So after triple wiping through TWRP and installing the stock firmware again it was still looping so i left to run to the store quickly and when I returned I tried powering it on and it loaded normally and I am still setting it back up.
Leaving the original comment. After coming home from work my friend said it had started doing it again, and it is. This time there was no root and no system anything messed with, does this mean there is a hardware problem?

I need help, my tablet is not working anymore.

Can anyone tell me if the tablet's battery might be responsible for it restarting itself? For example I was using it with a custom rom, and until the moment everything was working normal, and suddenly it started to restart, just by opening an application it crashes and reboots, I already tried to install the stock rom and it got worse, I could not even leave the samsung logo. I was able to install TWRP, but every time I try to reinstall the stock rom before it even starts it hangs and restarts, it has reached a point that it hangs and shuts itself. (Backup from twrp).
My tablet is the model SM -T560, I was using LineageSo 14.1 from T561. If anyone knows anything I appreciate it. The reason for the doubt is because I already took another tablet to repair and according to the technician, that could be the reason, the system was crashing, but from what I researched it was a chronic defect so I did not perform the battery replacement. Now i don't have any money to bay a new battery, and the device became an expensive paperweight.
Help please.
Hello everyone, for those who are in a similar situation, in which the tablet can not open an application without it restarting, reinstalling the stock rom and it keeps crashing and restarting, tried everything via software and did nothing for nothing. The battery arrived today and I'm testing to see if the problem solved and so far everything seems okay, I hope I can help with something.

Uhm Yeah you can help with something, Sorry I wasn't a member when this was posted. Do you by any chance have the CM12.1 Custom ROM for the SM-T561? it's okay If you only have one for the SM-T560
