[Nexus Player] Unlocked the bootloader yesterday, and now Sideload Launcher, ES File Explorer, and other sideloaded apps, go into the reload/refresh loops. Re-installing the apps doesn't help.
Anyone know how to fix?

Hello,
So I have this issue that came up recently. I just got installed PA 4.4.4 and I'm unlocked and rooted. I'm trying to download apps from the play store but a lot of them (say more than 50%) just don't download. When I click install, it just says "downloading" and the progress bar just continues to flash but I never get how much is downloading and whatnot. Apps like pushbullet, reddit news, and ES File Explorer. Some apps just download fine and quickly. I can't seem to find a pattern between what apps I can download and what I can't.
Any ideas?
EDIT: It seems that if I look on the play store online (from the web) some of the apps I have trouble installing are listed as "installed". But there are some apps listed at "installed" and I can still download them.

This seems to be an issue with the Playstore. I've had this experience several times- ES Explorer for instance never downloads, so I just go to the estrong webpage and download directly from there. Regarding the installed listing, try clearing the data and cache in Settings- Apps- Google Playstore.
Play store is a part of the factory OS.. I would recommend a flash stock.. To reset your phone partitions.. If incomplete to it's original state

Hello there,
I have rooted my nook simple touch using the guide found bellow:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=35267728#post35267728
It worked out after a while of struggling, but now I am wondering how am I able to install 3rd party android apps on it? I have downloaded a test .apk application on the nook toc heck either it is working. It comes out that it doesnt, but maybe its because i went browsing for it using the library app, as I havent found any other file browser on the system. I amrunning the latest 1.2.1 version.
I Would really aprichiate some help in this matter, I tried googling out but i havent found anything specific to help me solve the problem, there were some solutions to the newer models that dont apply for me.
@bremenpl,
Arguably, the best file explorer available for the Nook Touch is ES File Explorer 3 (free on Google Play). It's what I use.
To enable 3rd-party app installation, install NookColor Tools, open the app, and check the box for "Allow Non-Market Apps".
The problem is I dont have any file browser at all and I cant install any .apk on my nook. NookColor Tools is also an .apk and I cannot open this kind of file in library browser. How to overcome that? I dont have google apps installed as I didnt want to install google play, gmail and etc. I tried loging into amazon appstore that is installed, but it doesnt accept my login nad password.

Ah, I see your point. Thankfully, this can be remedied if you have either ADB set up, the app Terminal Emulator, or both. What do you have?
I have none of it. Whats more straight forward to do?

I'd say Terminal Emulator, but that's yet another app that you need non-market permission to install.
ADB it is, then. PM me for extensive installation instructions.
I have rooted my np running 5.1.1 and installed apps via market on my imac. But some apps like Chrome, Titanium Backup, WiFi Explorer are installed but don't show in the list on the player. What could be the reason for them not showing?

They don't show up because they are not completely compatible with Android TV. They don't have the changes for them to show up in the leanback launcher.
Just go to settings > apps and they will be there and you can launch them from there.
Alternatively there a few apps that can be installed that act as a app draw, but I can't think of any names right now, sorry.

I have the Galaxy S4 I9505 Black Mist.
I have rooted this and installed the Resurrection Remix ROM (Latest Version), but i have a issue that I'm nut sure about. I've always used ES File Explorer to remove unwanted Apps etc, but since I've had my S4, I've had to restart the phone after deleting them or they still appear as they are on the phone. Previously this has not been the case. I've even bought the Pro version of SuperUser to no avail.
Anyone got any ideas?

use a systems app uninstaller to remove unwanted apps. Deleting using a file manager is not a good idea. I use titanium backup for this

Sorry, perhaps I should have said this in my opening post, I don't just go and delete the APK, ES File Explorer has a App Remover built-in into so I use that to uninstall App, it's never let me down or caused any issues in the past.

is this problem specific to Resurrection remix rom only? Try clearing cache and data of the launcher.
Use Titanium backup to delete anything you don't want. No app has showed up after I deleted it with Titanium Backup.

No, before I installed Resurrection I had the same issue. The logs under SuperUser was reporting something about DELETE FILE FAILED or something similar, but since I've installed Resurrection I don't get that, but the issue remains. Have already tried the above.

Do you use SuperSU or Superuser?
Same issue on AICP 5.1.1, IDK how and why but uninstalled apps reappear no. matter how they were uninstalled. Happens if system crashes

Have you tried manually deleting the apk from /system folder?
I'm talking about /data/app and yep. I have tried it too

Hello guys,
I have problem, can't download any file from anywhere (chrome, gmail app, etc). Maybe there is some problem with writing the file to internal storage? I have Android 7.0, NRD90T. Only difference compared to stock is TWRP installed and bootloader unlocked.
Is there any way to fix this without formating/wiping and reinstalling ROM? Thanks a lot

Backup your Download folder and then delete it.
Sometimes I have issues with chrome downloading, usually from switching roms or backups. What I do is go into app section from settings and clear data. What that usually does is prompts me to update permissions and that will fix my issue. Might be the same with gmail.
