Hello, today I want to show you how to turn your OnePlus into a universal remote.
Buy IR jack 3.5mm or build it.
- Download ZaZa Remote. (thanks to michealderek for the software)
- Plug the external IR in the audio jack and start ZaZa Remote.
- Click "More" in the lower left and put the check on "Recognize Device".

}
- Click on "Add" and select the type of device. We will use as an example a Samsung TV.
- Subsequently, the program will try to find television to be able to engage with the IR.
- If television responds click "Has response" and move on, otherwise "No response" and the program will continue to try the other televisions. Usually it works the first time.
- Do this for the various keys.
- At the end you will have the working remote control for your OnePlus!
Enjoy!
Good to know,thanks

Hello,
My startup and I have been working on an Open Smart Watch (we call a glorified Lifestyle Notification Center), more details shortly but will work with any Bluetooth Devices (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, iPad, Surface, Raspberry Pi, Laptop, Desktop, etc). It is lightweight, flexible, it is NOT touch-enabled (however this will eventually come but on a different model) and will be using Slap-Bracelet style bands, so we can make 1 size and fits MOST.
Hope that you developers will be interested in making your App's have an option to enable WEDA (Wearable Electronic Device for Applications). You'll have access to the Accelerometer, Barometer (Temp., Air Pressure, Humidity, etc), Vibrator, LED'S, etc. We're even going to offer a HDK (Hardware Development Kit) so you can use our "WiP (WEDA input Port)" to permit the Device to use your own homemade hardware.
Best part of the WEDA? Pre-made Open Source Projects, Controls, and practically only 1-3 Lines of code will be needed to interact (1. Is Bluetooth Active/Device Paired? 2. Send to <option>).
If you're slightly interested and would like to keep updated on the private Mailing List (Photos, Videos, Code Snippets, etc), please let me know or keep an eye on WearingDigital.com.
Thank you,
Lance

It works when I connect it to my phone, tablet, Android box, PC, etc but it doesn't work with the Nexus Player.
My Logitech keyboard and mouse that I use for my PC is detected by the Nexus Player but not this handheld one.
Is there anything I need to do to get it working? Android is definitely capable of using this keyboard/mouse combo remote so I'm sure there's some way to get the drivers on the Nexus Player
It's 95% the same as this:

I have the same remote and use it with my NP, just turn it on , hold the Bluetooth button on the keyboard until it blinks, click the button on the bottom of the NP to search for your keyboard, NP will.see it and ask for you to enter 6 digit pairing code.
Done

Mine is also Bluetooth but it comes with a dongle that it autoconnects to. It's weird.. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Thanks anyway
If its Bluetooth you should be able to get it to pair with other devices without the dongle
Hello,
I would like to get more features with my quickremote app, when I have changed my rom from CM11 to stock based rom [CLOUDY G2 2.2], my quickremote app in this ROM is extremly limited. Old version has got many more devies on the list.

Now I get just like this
Main problem for me is no "set top box" devices on the list
Has anyone old version of this app for CLOUDY G2 2.2 ROM ?
thanks
too bad they dont support the box for sky vetv.. soi think ill just deleted it..
Just have installed [APP][CM11] Port QuickRemote from G3 on Cloudy G2 2.2 and it does support set top box which I need.:good:
I'm lucky because it support just TV + Audio + Set top box, exacly what I used in older version
You can let your phone learn signal from your real remote, yeah original app dont have stb remote but i let it learn and now i complete control my stb just a uncomfortable is abit limit buttons.
P/s that is the cross symbol to let your phone learn any IR signal.

what I can't believe this, I was just about to turn off my TV so I can go to bed, but i accidentally pressed the wrong button, and noticed that my Amazon fire 2nd generation tv box reacted, from my Samsung tv Smart Remote, did anybody else realize you could do this!!!
Not all of the buttons work as you can see in the video demonstration, but still it's pretty neat
Video Proof!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPEKXDX95BI
PS, if You hear a lot of weird background noises like a tummy rumbling, on the Video that's my dog's stomach lol
Since IMHO the aTV2 does not have an IR receiver this is done via HDMI-CEC protocol (Samsung calls this AnyNet), this means your still controlling only your TV and some basic actions (like VOL+/-, CH+/-, Standby, Cursor cross) are transmitted via HDMI from the TV to the aTV. Nice feature but without the TV this remote will not control the aTV2.

thanks for the info.

Sony remote work perfectly like a native....
Really enjoying the fact that the radio tuner is active in the Note 7. I won't have to use TuneIn as often.

Yeaaahh, that was a shocker, but it works. Now we need build in digital TV tuner and the phone is the only device that you ever need: no need for radio, computer, TV, game console or camera.

I'm unfamiliar with how it works. I'm guessing you download a radio app and it just works once you open it?
EDIT: Oh, yeah, that's awesome!! Funny how it's not mentioned anywhere.
