Hey there, I've recently made the purchase of a samsung galaxy S4 1337m
Once i got it home, the first thing i did was root it via Chainfires Root, and downloaded
rom manager, and installed CWM, and backed up my original OS with the original root
to a SD Card, once i did that I installed Odexed Andriod 4.3 for US and CAN, when i discovered
there was Chainsfire root guide for this version in particular, i tried to install it, what i did was attempt
to flash the latest root onto 4.3 via oden, after which i would flash the modded software to work for 4.3
however, in the process i ended up losing CWM, and the root all together, so i was wondering if anyone
was willing to lend me a hand getting the root onto my 4.3, so i can get my CWM back on.
Thanks!

I haven't used 4.3 but from what I've read I believe you just flash the .zip chainfire provided from recovery.
So now you will have to ODIN back to stock if you lost your recovery, re-root, install recovery (recommend TWRP instead), re-flash 4.3, flash the .zip provided from chainfire in his post here:

Do you know whether or not I'm able to re-flash with oden using the recovery created by CWM?
Or do i need to download the stock rom for my phone, which i imagine I would do a factory wipe
then boot into download mode then flash the stock rom?

The backup created from CWM should be a .zip that is flash-able only from recovery afaik. You will need your stock firmware .tar file and flash with ODIN. This is only if you surely cannot boot into recovery. If you manage to boot to CWM you can flash your backup of course.
Your STOCK firmware can be downloaded here:

I currently did a factory wipe on my device, and flashed using odin with my stock
rom, things are looking good thus far, will keep posted if anything goes not as planned!
Basically I attemped to flash my phone to a custom rom. Now the phone only boots into safestrap and will not accept any roms I am trying to flash at all.
I downloaded ODIN but I am having a heck of a time trying to find the proper files for flashing back to stock firmware. If anyone could provide some insight it would be greatly appreciated
Need a working link to N900AUCUCNC2_N900AATTCNC2_N900AUCUCNC2_HOME.tar.md

I came to the conclusion that i need to flash N900AUCUCNC2_N900AATTCNC2_N900AUCUCNC2_HOME.tar.md via AP in odin, but I cant find a working download link anywhere
Hi there, I rooted this phone a while back and for some reason decided to also load a custom recovery (Pretty sure it's TWRP) even though I was using stock firmware and just wanted root. Now the phone's trying to do an OTA and it won't work of course because of my custom recovery. I was wondering if someone had a link to a stock recovery I could flash via ODIN/Heimdall? Thanks!
P.S. If you could include a step-by-step on what I need to do, that'd be nice. As far as I remember it's just putting the phone in Download Mode and flashing the .tar file via ODIN.
So I was following a method to root my phone. I was able to do this with success. I went to install a custom rom with Safestrap. I had my rom on my sd card, I wiped everything and went to install the rom to find out it was for the wrong model. I didnt make a backup and wasnt thinking so I went to reboot the phone. I cant get it to boot into any rom or recover the stock rom. I am able to get into odin mode and I flashed the stock kernel but that didnt work. Please help.
Kernel I used: VZW_BOK3_KERNEL_ONLY.tar.md5
I know what to do if I can get it to reboot back to a stock phone just need help getting to that step. Please please help.
You can get your phone back to stock by flashing a stock ODIN tar. Alternatively you could probably just get safestrap access back by flashing the NI2 kernel and then flash a new ROM.
NI2 kernel: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934553221
ODIN stock ROM: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24438995911970571 (extract from .zip and then flash with ODIN)
I went to install a custom OS for the very first time. I rooted my device with KingRoot and tried installing custom recovery via Flashify and i used a image file to flash the device and now when i boot the device it comes up with Samsung logo and then a blurred color screen and then blank screen. What should i do know... PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME.
Two chances
1. You might have chosen boot image instead of recovery image option in flashify. boot image is kernel. device won't boot without kernel.
2. You have flashed wrong recovery image. you have to flash a working recovery image. make sure you downloaded right file.
Solutions
*If you have flashed Boot Image, then you have to download stock rom and flash it via Odin using a computer
*If you are flashed wrong recovery image then you can fix it by flashing right recovery.tar using odin
in both case you need a computer.
I suggest that you should go for an experts help.
You can find stock rom link and recovery.tar files at grand 2 general forum.

Thank you for your response. I installed the stock ROM using ODIN. And now, my phone is doing well. Fortunately, I upgraded from Jelly Bean to Kitkat. xD
