First flash a custom recovery (Custom TWRP is available on XDA). But make sure you are flashing the 4g model.
Take a backup of current rom before flashing the update.
ROM (MIUI v6 on Android 4.4.4):
You can checkout below link for official updates from below link.
http://en.miui.com/download-218.html#342
Redmi Note 4G - Chinese and English (Currently MIUI 6)
Redmi Note 4G Global - Multi Language. (Currently MIUI 5)
You can also prefer to download developer ROM than Stable one if you wish to play around, most probably weekly OTA updates. Btw, DEV rom is pre rooted!
Good luck flashing!
philz recovery here: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=58681&extra=page=1&mobile=2, in this thread there not only have philz cwm recovery, also have stock recovery. I am suggested you to read up this forum from the xiaomi official forum: http://en.miui.com/forum-66-1.html?mobile=2, it have a lot of good informations about 4G note LTE. After you more understand your phone, then staryed to flash whatever you like. Before you flashed a new ROM, do a nandroid backup either by philz recovery or twrp.

Hello all,
I have a i9505 and, currently I am on stock 4.4.2, with XXUGNG8 baseband. The phone is from Romania, but I live in Greece.
I am to choose from the following ROMS:
Resurrection Lollipop v5.4.0
Omega 41
GOLDENEYE v51
ECHOE v47
Imperium LL v3.1
Eudemony
Currently the most used kernels are AEL, imperium, stock.
I like having a custom kernel (as I used, in my old Galaxy S1). Which of the two(AEL vs imperium) is better?
Also are there any reported issues with 4G while using a custom kernel or 4G has to do with baseband?
Thank you

No rom is better. It's a personal choice. So just try it out.

Seems like you prefer touchwiz roms.
Depends on what you want. I haven't used any of those roms. RR seems to be the most customizable. Echoe was also very popular.
Check out https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDHt9tJ_reNJhs-IIHSrr1w
He did reviews on most of the roms here on xda. He is also from Romania. So you can ask him if you have any questions.
If you have issues with 4G then you will probably have to flash the modem. That generally fixes it.
To sum up the process:
I use Odin to flash TWRP, and from TWRP I install the rom's ZIP?
Or should i flash something else instead? Now I am on stock 4.4.2

That's exact the right way. Choose the latest twrp and flash any custom ROM. No matter if it is 442 or 5.0.1 or whatever. It could be possible that you will lose mobile data and/or wifi. In that case update your modem to a version that matches with your ROM.
Here's a guide how to update modems with odin.

NOTE: if you flash twrp or another recovery, your knox counter will be 0x1. But i think you know that already.[emoji2]

I would recommend that you root first so you can backup your apps and data with titanium backup.
This is not really necessary if you don't care about the apps.
Also, don't forget to wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
Hey guys, I've got a few questions about my note 3.
It's rooted and has the 5.0 leakt rom, the one without normalsilent mode.
Now is my question can I install the darklord s6 rom for note 3 ?
And how ?
If you have root and custom recovery installed then install what you like. As for how to flash it you may want to read up some more before you make the jump.

yes you can just install custom recovery like TWRP, i tested draklord n5 RC 2.1 on my n9005 and it is:good:
see this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-darklord-s6-port-alpha-t3083087
I want to install on my device the LineageOS, but for this I need to update my bootloader to the LP version. How I do this?
Just flash Latest lolipop based custom ROM.Search it in miui forum.Or flash lolypop firmware.U maybe find it guide section.
Just a advice .....before making a new thread about something just search a little bit if this has discussed before or not.
I think I made a mistake in my post.
It is .....Just flash latest MIUI (LP) ROM found on MIUI forum....
Edit:---
In the first line I typed custom by mistake.....
1)flash any latest MIUI LP ROM found on MIUI forum or xiamoi.eu
2)flash lollypop firmware if u found it some where.
3)flash thunder MIUI @gkalen latest version
U will get LP bootloader.....Go as u wish
U need to flash miui 6.29.9 ROM of Redmi 2 prime via fastboot to get LP boot loader
Just flash the firmware uploaded in lineage os rom forum
Flash miui Redmi 2 prime ROM
Flashing any custom roms before flashing prime's rom won't get u lollipop firmware

Nearly every rom-thread contains a how-to. Check the different threads right her.
I know. But because I am in kitkat I wanted to know if I need to flash official lollipop first
So I decided to flash CM14.1 from CM13.0 today.
Here what I'm doing:
from CM 13;
Full Wipe
Flash g2 bootstacks https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/boot-g2-hybrid-bootstacks-t3183219
Flash ROM http://www.kimcloud.kr/lg/LG G2/cm14.1/
Flash Gapps OpenGapps
Flash Kernel Lambda Infinito BETA 9 for the LG G2 (Nougat)
Wipe data and cache
Reboot to system & make other thing in setting (SDCard not working)
Reboot to TWRP
Flash POLYMORPH to make SDCard working
Reboot to System
Done.
