I just updated my SM-G900F (standard Samsung) with the latest Lollipop 5.0 firmware.
It works fine so far, but I cant find anywhere the 'User Account' settings.
Where do these settings hide??

So, I'm facing a problem with my Samsung Galaxy s5 (sm-g900f). I can't receive push notifications for some apps (hangouts, whatsapp, gmail,..apparently all the apps using Google Cloud Messaging to push their notifications). I'm having this problem when I'm connected to my home Wifi only; when I turn off the wifi and switch to mobile data, all the delayed notifications arrive all at once. However, when I connect to other Wifis, everything seems to be working normal. Also note that, other phones work normally on my wifi (Samung galaxy s4 for instance). I've already done some troubleshooting:
1) I was using the stock android 5.0 (the Spain firmware) (I live in Lebanon) . I rooted my phone, the problem remained. I put a custom rom , didn't solve anything. Finally ,I unrooted the phone and I fully wiped it and installed the stock android kitkat (4.4.2) for Lebanon from sammobile.com, again with no luck.
2) I thought it was a router issue, so I changed my router.
3) I downloaded "push notification fixer".
4) I looked up the ports that GCM (google cloud messaging) uses, and I forwarded those ports to my phone's local IP.
Nothing of the steps mentioned made any difference. I'm sure there are still some troubleshooting I haven't tried; Can you help me? Thank you.
Same problem
I'm having a similar problem with a different phone, I have a Xperis E1
While running update with android 4.3 Jellybean it works fine
When i upgrade to android Kit kat 4.4.2 I get delays on my notifications, from a couple of minutes up to not receiving the notification until I unlock the phone manually.
So i've tried severral stock firmware and only when i use one based in 4.3 Jelly bean the problem never appears. My problem is this firmware has lots of bugs and misbehavior. So i Installed this one and hopped the best:
Xperia E1 D2004 official firmware Customized IL (Israel) 20.1.A.2.13 /R1B
Jellybean firmware with push notification working perfectly is:
Xperia E1 D2004 official firmware Customized GEL (Generic LAM) 20.0.A.1.21 / R3A
Hi
I did the update to marshmallow when i was available with my carrier a few months back and everything was ok, it then did an auto update to 6.0.1 and since then been going slow and all FB app / messenger and pages manager wont work.
Ive scoured the world to find solutions and tried the suggestions and also went and backed up my phone (not apps) then wiped it to factory and it still is the same.
I was wondering if there is a way i can downgrade Marsh to the one before the upgrade to 6.0.1 or if there is a way back to the latest lollipop or even better a version of cyanogenmod for the nougat i can try.
(i have put on custom roms before on other phones and know my way around)
Thanks

How to remove support tab in 7.1.1 nmf26f ?!
Any way to access quick settings with single swipe from right edge ?!
Had to dredge up old threads, but has anyone figured this out? I'd like to stay on stock with magisk, but can't seem to remove support tab in settings.
Hi, I bought a "new" s5 from someone on Gumtree.
I am in the UK (England) and use EE network.
The phone seemingly works fine and I did checks to see it's not a fake, but it's on the the old Lollipop version. I want to update to the most recent firmware Marshmallow, but can't.
When I press the "Update now" in "About Device", nothing happens.
I tried to use my PC and update via Kies 3, but it says I have the latest firmware available for my model.
Can anyone please tell me if I can update my phone to Marshmallow? How do I do it? I'm kind of desperate.
I have read a bit about this Odin application and have downloaded it. Would anyone be so kind as to direct me to the firmware I would need and if it's safe?
Thanks a lot.
I've attached a couple of pics of screens I took from of my phone.
One has info from an app I downloaded onto the phone, called "Phoneinfo"

Google the Verizon PD1 .tar file (it may be in a zip file) and Odin that in the AP slot. That'll give you stock marshmallow.

Hi, ok I did as you advised and it worked.
I have Marshmallow and it recognises my 4g lte.
When I switch the phone on and it loads up the home screen, a message comes up saying the Sim card is not Verizon etc, but after a minute, the "H" turns to "4Glte" and it works perfectly fine.
Thanks for your help!
The latest stock for G900V is PL1 which you can find here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862693698
Use ODIN on AP slot as before.
After updating to Android 7.0 nougat my wifi-calling ability has gone away. It worked great until the update. After looking through all the settings there is no longer an option to turn it on or off. I have looked both in <Settings <Connections <Mobile Networks and In Phone App, <"Three dots at the top" < Settings. My phone is a Galaxy J5 prime SM-G570M. Is there a firmware update that can fix this? or would going back to Marshmallow help?
Thanks!
