Hi, I bought a "new" s5 from someone on Gumtree.
I am in the UK (England) and use EE network.
The phone seemingly works fine and I did checks to see it's not a fake, but it's on the the old Lollipop version. I want to update to the most recent firmware Marshmallow, but can't.
When I press the "Update now" in "About Device", nothing happens.
I tried to use my PC and update via Kies 3, but it says I have the latest firmware available for my model.
Can anyone please tell me if I can update my phone to Marshmallow? How do I do it? I'm kind of desperate.
I have read a bit about this Odin application and have downloaded it. Would anyone be so kind as to direct me to the firmware I would need and if it's safe?
Thanks a lot.
I've attached a couple of pics of screens I took from of my phone.
One has info from an app I downloaded onto the phone, called "Phoneinfo"
*Edit - I'm not allowed to post links yet, as I'm a new user.
Basically
Phoneinfo states -
Manufacturer/Brand = Samsung / Verizon
Phone Model = SM - G900F
Device Type, Product Name = kltevzw
About Device state -
Android Version = 5.0
Baseband Version = G900FXXU2BOG5
Hardware Version = G900V.05
Security Software Version = MDF v1.1 Release 4
KNOX Version = 2.3
Standard SDK 5.3.0
Premium SDK 2.3.0
Google the Verizon PD1 .tar file (it may be in a zip file) and Odin that in the AP slot. That'll give you stock marshmallow.

Hi, ok I did as you advised and it worked.
I have Marshmallow and it recognises my 4g lte.
When I switch the phone on and it loads up the home screen, a message comes up saying the Sim card is not Verizon etc, but after a minute, the "H" turns to "4Glte" and it works perfectly fine.
Thanks for your help!
The latest stock for G900V is PL1 which you can find here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=529152257862693698
Use ODIN on AP slot as before.

Samsung Note 3 : Model GT-N9000 ( on packaged box is: SM-N900 ) ; For now the Android 4.3 works fine in this phone ; N9000XXUAMDE ; Build: JDQ39.N9000XXUAMDE ; This phone does not accept android updates via OTA. I Installed Kies3 in windows, Phone+USB connected to desktop, Windows-FileManager sees the phone storage and the SD card system and user files.
However, Kies3 refuses to see the phone and it rejects as invalid the model name entered as: GT-N9000. I would appreciate a bit of help on how to proceed to be able to update the phone to the official SAMSUNG firmware for android 5.1 ; The phone was bought from Korean-website years ago. It may have been an international model version targeted for South America. It is unlocked, and region-unlocked. Also I believe it was never rooted. Alternately, I would consider to use a "CUSTOM ROM" specific for this phone to install and advance it to the 5.1.1 or 6.1 android level. This phone does not have LTE/G4, and has the slower 1.9GHz 8core-processor.
It's a fake, Samsung never released a JDQ39 (4.2.2) build for the Note 3. Also the Note 3 is SM-N9005 not GT-N9000.

hello, i am from India. I recently bought a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Duos. FEW DAYS AGO (ABOUT 2-3 DAYS) i updated it to latest version over OTA. I tried to root it by CF Auto root but something broke and it transferred my device in bootloop so i downloaded and flashed a stock rom G935FXXU1APB6_G935FOLB1APB6_XSP_FULL using Odin. My device started but i figured out that the rom is Singaporian version and its a March upgrade and i could not update it also. I am also having wifi connectivity issues. My old rom was perfect. It was preinstalled by Company. Please help me or please give me a link of my model's official stock rom rather than Sammobile ( i tried sammobile but my connection refuses and also speed too low )

Download and install USB drivers for Samsung Galaxy S7 edge in your computer.
Make sure to take backup of any important files on your smartphone.
Enable USB debugging option by pressing Menu > Settings > Applications. Navigate and tap on Developer Options to ensure that USB Debugging is enabled.
Ensure that your Galaxy S7 edge carries more than 70% of charge.
Highly Credible Leak Points At Early Samsung Galaxy S7 Launch Date
Unzip Odin on your computer and install it.
Unzip firmware zip file in the same folder as Odin.
Switch your Samsung Galaxy S7 edge off and boot it in Download mode: press and hold Volume Down and Power together and then press the Home key. OR, check how to enter Download Mode.
Open Odin and connect your smartphone with your computer. When connected successfully, one of the ID:COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number after a while. (In case you don’t get it, try another USB port. If that doesn’t help either, then re-install USB drivers).
On your Odin, select files:
Click on AP and select file with AP in its name.
Click on CP and select file with MODEM in its name – ignore if you didn’t get any such file.
Click on CSC and select file with CSC in its name – ignore if you didn’t get any such file.
Click on PIT and select the. pit file – ignore if you didn’t get any such file.
Click on BL and select file with BL in its name – ignore if there is no such file.
Make sure to check Auto Reboot and F.Rest Time. Check Re-Partition only if you selected the. pit file.
Click on Start to initiate the update process.
When Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update installation is successfully completed, you will get a PASS message.
I don't know if factory reset is necessary after flash, but I did it, just in case. I attached Odin which I used.

Unless you know what you are doing and about files source/files you are flashing, then not much.. but if you are not sure, then Smart Switch can download official f/w for your specific model & flash it for you.. simplest, no brainer to recover to official f/w.

Official Android 7.0
Hi
I have G935FD device, which I recently bought (the second hand one).
I notice that I have issue with GPRS data transfer... it looks like, from time to time when GPRS is active SMS sending is not possible any more (up to next power OFF of device) .
At that time I'm able to see only one GPRS range indicator.
I'm able to receive calls from both SIM cards.
I did not check am I able to call from both of them.
According to my google investigations issue is pressent in Android 6.0, which I have right now.
Case shall be easy, I need to update to Nugat verision and it is all , but...
1) If I'll check firmware update on my mobile I have inforamtion that it is the latest version of firmware G935FXXU1APD1// G935FXXU1APB6. what is not true
2) I started to looking for official Android 7.0 version. to get it, I have to have CSC code. Phone info application have cleared out all CSC code. *#1234# don't work - "error message connection error or wrong MMI code".
Device type is hero2lte
Product name is hero2ltexx
Product code is SM-G935FZSU - this looks like oryginal information .
Bootloader : G935FXXU1APB6
PDA Version: G935FXXU1APD1
Baseband Version" G935FXXU1APB6
CSC Version :
Kernel Version
3.18.14-7538748
[email protected]#1
64-bit
knox warrantz void: 0x0
Does any one know what can be the oryginal CSC code for such device?
Can you tell me where can I find oryginal Android 7.0 which will works fine in Poland ?
Thanks in advance.
Hi
Below information for anyone who have the same issue as I.
I download the newest official ROM for Android 7.0 for Poland (G935FXXS1DQHI).
I used ROM for single sim, not dual sim.
Since that I don't have any issue with SMS or GPRS any more.
MMI codes started to work back.
I still have dual sim .
Simple , now it works better !!
I got a used GT-935T phone very recently in India, which was still running android 6.0. On browsing these forums, I found out that we could flash stock rom on it without rooting, so I did so using Odin. I flashed the stock rom of Android 7.0 for t-mobile 935T, which was what my phone was supposed to be.
On further browsing, I also discovered, that we could flash any stock rom on the phone, irrespective of the region. So I decided to download the latest stock rom for India 935fd. I did so, but whenever I'm trying to flash it using Odin, I'm getting an error - repartition failed.
I've not checkd the repartition option.
can someone help me?

I want to install TWRP on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (Telus Canada - SM-G900W8 - Stock Android v5.1.1 ROM) using Odin.
I have found this list on the TWRP site: https://dl.twrp.me/klte/
IIUC, I need to select one of the TAR files to flash with Odin. My plan is to use TWRP to update my device with a Nougat ROM (likely LOS, RR, crDroid.) and root.
My question is: Do I use the latest version, or should I be using an older version?
What about Odin? I found this site: http://www.**********.com/download-odin-tool-for-samsung-galaxy-devices-all-versions/, but I'm not sure which version I should get.
My questions is: Do I use the latest version, or should I be using an older version?
And these apprear to be the correct drivers: https://androidmtk.com/download-samsung-usb-drivers
Option: Samsung Galaxy S5 (All Variants) which points to hee:
http://samsungusbdriver.com/download/samsung-driver-v1-5-63-0
Also are there any MD5s/SHAs for Drivers/TWRP/Odin to make sure that the files haven't been tampered with?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/assistance.
Working TWRP for SM-G900W8
For the record I can confirm that TWRP v3.2.1-0-klte works for the Canadian Version
of the Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8
https://dl.twrp.me/klte/twrp-3.2.1-0-klte.img.tar.html
And I used this version of the ODIN Flash Utility for Samsung
Source: http://downloadandroidfiles.org/file-php/?File=/Tools/Odin3v185.zip
File Name: Odin3v185.zip
Filesize: 198.52KB

It's maybe not the latest, but it seemed to to the job. There seem to be a lot of infected versions of ODIN floating around, which is why the link is *** out. When I didn't get any answer I tried that source, but VirsusTotal flagged the file as infected, so I used an old file that I found a year before. This one seemed to be OK.

Hello,
It would be awesome when someone could help me.
- Tonight I flashed the newest Stock rom (Security Dec 2018) with Smart Switch.
- Then I rooted the phone with TWRP + Magisk
- Then I decidet to deactivate the OEM Unlock
What would be the easiest way now, it looks that there is a new bootloader in this rom, so I can not use an older Rom? Is it true, could it be?
Can please tell me someone a Rom (what is downloadable and not behind a paywall) what I can flash with Odin or a simple other solution. My knowdledge in this kind of business is old and I nearly never use it. I tried it now for around 6 hours, please can someone tell me a noobproof strategy for a Samsung SM-G950. If it matters I´m from Germany.
Work in progress
-- Using SamFirm to download new Firmware
--- tried new German + new AT Firmware
--- both failed, is it possible that Samsung released a new version this night so my version is newer? Error Code: --- SW Rev. Check Fail (Bootloader) Device: 4, Binary: 3
I give it up for now
:crying:

Your issue is you are trying to flash older firmware than what is on your phone. You need firmware with bootloader version 4 or higher. Bootloader version number is the 5th number from the right of the firmware file name. A simple check of software version can be found in settings - about phone - software info - baseband
You can search for firmware using samfirm or sammobile or updato all are free to download

Can you still get into recovery/download modes
You could try a factory reset
Not sure what firmware your looking at but if from Germany on updato I can see at least 2 firmwares which may work with version 4 bootloader
https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model
Edit: For some reason link not going directly to Germany firmware list
You will have select model eg: S8
Then use filters to select region

Thank you very much but this side sucks, downloadtime > 1 day
Can you please give me a filename to keep sure I take the right one.
In what specific position do I see where the Bootloader 4 is? My thinking was just take the files from end 2018 and 2019.

Samfirm will probably be the quickest.
File name convention eg: G950FXXU4CRKG the number 4 ( 5th from right ) is the bootloader revision number the higher the number the latest firmware available. You can not downgrade firmware ie: 3,2, or 1( bootloader no.)
The latest ones I can find for Germany region for the s8 Oreo:
G950FXXU4CRL3- CSC - DBT - December 14
Since I am not sure what carriers you have but CSC codes as far as I know
DBT - I can only assume unbranded(non carrier) ?
XEG ( 1&1 )
DDE ( congstar )
VIA ( 02 )
DTM ( T Mobil )
VD2 ( Vodafone )
I would use samfirm as it is quicker in downloading at least for me
In samfirm top left enter model no. SM-G950f
Underneath in region box enter ? ( I can only suggest using DBT or one of the above. )
Samfirm.will only show latest version available for your region.

I already used it yesterday with DBT + VD2. I will try it again
I think the problem is that SamFirm sucks actually. I can not download manually firmwares there, maybe the automatic sucks und brings me old results.
Now I download this here: https://samfrew.com/de/amp/download/Galaxy__S8__/ke8v/VD2/G950FXXU4CRL4/G950FOVF4CRL1/
I think now I got it. I thank all people what have inspired me. It´s flashing.
Just a final question, is it possible that MOST Firmdatabases what are promoted in XDA Developers are a bunch of ****, it looks like the owner of this ****sides permanently promote their moneymakingmachines here.
Final Notice: Because I don´t trust this side, I flash the Nov Version and than flash with Samsung Tool the latest Dez Vers.
Hi!
Does anyone know where I can find the T387AAUCS3CUD1 stock ROM? I'm trying to fix a unit that I may have messed up by tinkering with custom ROMs.
Anyone?
Still nothing?
Hi also searching high and low for T387AAUCS3CUD1.
Any success finding it?
Samsung Galaxy Tab A (T387AA) - Software Update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (T387AA) - AT&T
Get Samsung Galaxy Tab A (T387AA) support for the topic: Software Update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (T387AA). Find more step-by-step device tutorials on att.com.
www.att.com
ATT is worthless - no support. OTA Android 8 won't update to Android 10. Says already current.
No luck yet :-(
Still no luck.
Someone recently gave me a SM-T387AA, came across this thread while looking for the latest firmware for the device. It does appear that T387AAUCS3CUD1 is the latest for the AA version, which I also was unable to locate. (probably because ATT uses their own servers for firmware instead of samsung) However, while searching, I also came across a newer version of firmware for SM-T387W.
Specifically:
AP VERSION T387WVLS3CVK2
CSC VERSION T387WOYV3CVK2
CSC VTR (Canada)
ANDROID VERSION Q(Android 10)
SIZE 2.62 GB Full Files

To my surprise, I flashed the 387W firmware on my 387AA with ODIN and everything seems to be working just fine. Still can't unlock my bootloader though. I see there's also a 387R4 variant. I might try that next, and will report back if I do.
Would this not though prevent a user from being able to use it on AT&T?

Oh interesting, I wonder what the difference between the two firmware versions are then?

To my surprise, I flashed the 387W firmware on my 387AA with ODIN and everything seems to be working just fine. Still can't unlock my bootloader though. I see there's also a 387R4 variant. I might try that next, and will report back if I do.

I used Bifrost. It can pull the latest firmware for most samsung devices that are hosted on samsung servers. Type in the model, "SM-T387W" and the CSC, "VTR", check for update and then download.
