I believe Flash was no longer supported starting with Jelly Bean, but see if this works. Not sure if this will work with the stock browser, but it worked with Dolphin Browser on my LG G2. Flash player should be set to "on demand" in Dolphin settings and can be set to "Always On". From Adobe:
1. Ensure that the Android device is connected to the Internet.
2. Open the Settings menu.
3. Select Security (or Applications, on older Android OS versions).
4. Select Unknown Sources.
5. Tap OK to confirm your selection.
6. Close Settings.
7. Launch the browser.
8. Search for "flash player archive page" or navigate directly to the Adobe Flash Player Archive page.
9. On the Archive page, scroll down to Flash Player for Android archives.
10. Select a version of Flash Player that is compatible with your Android operating system.
11. Tap the link to download the Flash Player installer. Download begins automatically.
12. When download completes, close the browser.
13. Open Notifications.
14. Tap install_flash_player.apk.
15. When prompted, tap Install.
16. When installation completes, tap Done.

Invoking Installer

I need to find a way to invoke the installer app on the G1 when downloading a third party app via OTA. I know its possible, I'm just still stuck in the Windows Mobile realm and haven't switched gears to Linux for awhile. Any thoughts?
If you're talking about installing via the web browser on the device, you need to serve up a specific mime type, i believe it is application/vnd.android.package-archive
I read somewhere on another forum that there's a setting that needs to be changed on the phone to allow non-market apps to install on the device. I'll see if I can find it.
Here's how
Download Web files and applications
Before you download any files or applications using the Browser, note the following:
• Before you can download Web applications, you must explicitly “allow” downloading from the Home > Settings screen:
1
Press HOME, then press MENU and select Settings.
2
Select Applications, then on the Application settings screen, select the Unknown sources check box.
• All items downloaded form the Web are stored on your SD card, so be sure you have a card installed in your phone before you download from the Browser. (Read more in “SD card slot” on page 11.)
• The Browser will only allow you to download items that are supported by an application installed on the phone.
I can't get any apk file to install if its on the SD. Is there anyway that the apk could call on the installer to run? Its a really big pain for me right now. I need to be able to offer a free app but for reasons I can't get into I need it to be installed from the device and not OTA.

Google.com is not working

OK
I intalled a new stock ROM from sammobile but ever since then when I open Google.com in the browser a message pops out saying your flash player is out of date click OK to update then it redirects me to adobe page.
Plz any help with that?
Thanks
Update your flash player its that simple .
Keep in mind that Chrome and Stock browser ('Internet') do not support plugins of any kind, including Flash. You'll need to use another browser, like Dolphin or Firefox.
Getting Flash is very easy:
Download this file onto your phone (Or onto your PC and copy it to your phone). http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk
(That's the official Adobe download link. Adobe took over Macromedia years ago.)
Just install it like any .apk:
Download the file.
Go to settings > Security > check the box behind 'Unknown Sources',
Go to the downloaded file and open it like any file. That'll open the installer.
Follow the steps.
Open the browser. (Again, Chrome or Stock don't support plugins.)
Go to browsersettings > Plugins.
Set it to either Always or Tap to activate. (Or whatever name the browser gives it.)
That's it. Flash is updated and working.

### If Android launches, hold 3 buttons until phone restarts and Samsung logo appears.
4) BACKUP PARTITIONS AND SYSTEM (Nandroid backup)
Boot in Recovery Mode : Hold Home + Power + Volume+ until you see Samsung's logo then release and wait a few seconds for TWRP recovery to boot.
Recovery asks for Keep System Read Only ? > Swipe to Allow Modifications.
Go to Wipe > Format Data.
Type: yes and confirm with bottom right check icon.
Encryption is removed. You can now access partitions.
### If you miss this step you won't have access to any partition.
Back to home menu > Backup.
You can now select the partitions you want to save.
I prefer to backup System, Data and Boot partitions. In case of problem, you will have your tablet in its original state.
Swipe to Backup and wait during process.
Go to Home screen and continue with next chapter.
Save backup: still under TWRP recovery, connect tablet to PC.
Go to Mount menu and check Data partition is checked and MTB button is on "Disable MTP" state.
From Windows explorer, access tablet's memory and copy-paste the TWRP folder (located in root folder, beside DCIM and Music folders) somewhere safe on your computer.
5) FORMAT PARTITIONS
### Make sure you copied TWRP backup from internal memory to somewhere safe.
Go to Wipe > Advanced wipe,

Back to TWRP home screen, go to Reboot > Recovery and swipe to reboot.
On next launch, check the checkbox to remember choice and swipe to allow modifications.
5) FLASH ROM, GAPPS +/- MAGISK ROOT
Back to TWRP main menu, go to Mount menu again to connect tablet to PC again.
Connect tablet to PC and use Windows explorer to copy files on tablet's internal memory.
Copy TWRP folder from your tablet to somewhere safe on PC.
This backup can restore your tablet to its original Samsung state.
Copy files of ROM + Bitgapps + Magisk on tablet.
Go back to TWRP Home menu. Then tap on Install > choose los*.zip,
then Add more zips and select bitgapps*.zip,
then Swipe to confirm Flash.
Wait for operation to end.
Again, go to Reboot > Recovery and swipe to reboot.
Optional: After restart, go to Install, select Magisk and swipe to flash.
Then tap Wipe cache/dalvik, swipe to confirm,
then Reboot System and on Install TWRP App? menu, tap on button Do Not Install
Wait for the tablet to boot.
It will be stuck with LineageOS animation on it's first launch. It is normal.
Force reboot using the Power and Volume Down buttons.
Now let LineageOS finish to start.
6) OPTIONAL: ROOT ACCESS
Configure Android as you like.
No need for extra work to be root.
Magisk launches with Android.
Superuser permissions can be managed from Magisk Manager app.
Open Magisk app (v23+).
Go to Settings > go to App Rename app to Godmode to hide hide.
Below, switch MagiskHide ON.
Now go to Magisk Modules tab > install liboemcrypto disabler and MagiskHide Props Config.
Connect to your Google account, download from Play Store Netflix and Disney+.
### If you are already connected to Google account.
Clear cache (Settings > Apps > All apps > Google Play Store > Storage > Clear storage) and restart tab.
Relaunch Play Store, Netflix and Disney+ will be available in SD.
7) TWEAKS
- Calibrate battery: https://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Battery_Calibration
- Set dark Mode to improve battery by 30%: Settings > Display > Dark theme
- For better battery, remove Always on display
Settings > Display > Screen saver > Desactivated
- Activate Developer options
Go to Settings > About.
At bottom, tap 7 times on Build number. You activated Developer options.
Go to Settings > System > Advanced > Developer options.
- To tweak overclocking and more, use SmartPack-Kernel Manager
SmartPack-Kernel Manager - Apps on Google Play
The ultimate tool to manage your kernel

### If you experience battery drain, stick to 20220312 build (thx to @yoblo)
8) OBTAIN GOOGLE MOBILE SERVICES (GMS) CERTIFICATION
Google now restricts Google Play and Google apps access to certificated devices. Since you have a custom ROM, you are banned.
We now need to subscribe for the Google Play Certification.
Download Device ID (by Evozi) app from Play Store.
Launch app.
Tap on the Google Service Framework (GSF) line, then tap on the COPY button.
In your Android webbrowser, go to: https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/
Connect to Google using your Google/Android account.
In the input field of the page, paste the 16 digits code.
Click on the Save button, a success message confirms your device is Certified.
Then go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage > Clear storage
Do I need to re-certify it ?
"Your device’s GSF ID is reset every time your device is factory reset (or when you wipe the GSF app itself) since it is stored in your data partition, so you must re-register your GSF ID every time you perform either of these actions."

Enjoy,

Force Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to restart
Hold Power + Volume down for 10-20 seconds
I have just followed this to update my T719 tablet. All seems to work other than the camera, when you try to open the camera app it freezes before eventually saying 'unable to connect to camera', then closes. Have tried another camera app but still get the same issue. Is this a known error?
Thanks

Hi @smarty79 , yes camera doesn't work.
I will be more precise about it.
Thx for reporting

Hi, you have to be careful and download ROM according to your model.
EDIT: yes Data and camera are not working.
Sadly you won't find a ROM with these. Or tell me which one.
You may try this Oreo for camera: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-resurrection-remix-os-6-2-x-discont.3865882/

I haven't downloaded any custom ROM yet since I need the Radio Interface Layer funcionality as well as the camera.
I have the T819 (LTE variant) but I would like to have a newer Android version than 7 because some apps are not supported anymore.

i did every thing until wipe but afterwards my PC unable to see device folders so i can load the files
side note: didn't backup also so stuck on recovery screen

Thanks for this, works exactly as stated...
However I misread it, "### Camera doesn't work, 3G/Data network doesn't work" - I thought oh I don't care about 3G, I'm always connected to LTE without my brain acknowledging that it's all cellular connectivity not just 3G. DOH.
Is there anything available for SM-T817V? Looking desperate help to update Android 10.
Thanks

any particular build? there are multiple versions Thanks
When I boot, I end up back in the TWRP main menu. I've tried:
"Reboot System and on Install TWRP App? menu, tap on button Do Not Install" after:
"Then tap on Install > choose los*.zip,
then Add more zips and select opengapps*.zip,"
(advice given in another forum) but it makes no difference: LineageOS animation continued for several minutes, then I get into RECOVERY REBOOT and back to TWRP menu.

Thanks for your reply, djibe89 - when I do that (ie Power & Volume down), I end up back in TWRP.
Installed successfully by following your guide to a T (although I used the latest TWRP). I know support for this old girl has probably reached it's limit, but it was tough to find the ROM file (most links in the thread are dead - had to use one from archive.org)
Thanks a lot for putting this together!

[GUIDE] How to enable RCS on your Galaxy device - One UI Google Messages

Hi there everyone! Today I will show you how to install the "secret" One UI version of Google Messages!
The best things about this "special" version are that:
it has RCS enabled by default,
it will get the features from Samsung Messages. And the best? It will be
it is already native in Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold3/Flip, etc.
NOTE: There is no ARM .apk available yet. This method will only work for ARM64 devices (for now).
Video guide:
Too long; didn't watch steps:
If you already have it installed, uninstall Google Messages.
Go to APKMirror and search for Google Messages.
Tap on the most recent version of the app. It's usually the one on the top (for example, 9.3.002 is newer than 9.2.030).
Scroll down to see all the available downloads.
Tap on the "(...phone_samsung_dynamic)" variant. If there is no such variant, you may try installing an older version or wait until it'll be uploaded.

Launch APKMirror Installer.
Tap on Browse files.

Tap on the triple dots on the top right and go to Settings.
Tap on Chat features.
Turn on "Enable chat features".

Go back to Settings and then go to Advanced.
Tap on Text on Galaxy devices.
Turn on "Allow Bixby and text on Galaxy devices".
Close the app from the Recents menu and launch it again.
Enjoy the new Messages app!

I havent managed to install a GSI on the same device. Maybe you can help me?
got that working on my raspberry pi 4, thanks
Not working anymore on S20 Ultra.
See here: linky
I wanted to use Disney+, Netflix and Amazon Prime on my Redmi Note 8T with Magisk 25.2.
Your guide made all Apps except Netflix appear on the Playstore and work.
Thank you for that!
Does anyone know why Netflix won't be shown in Appstore on the phone? On my PC i see "you do not have a compatible device", whereas the others can be remote installed without problems.
I see "Playstore certified", i tried some Safetynet checkers and all say "Basic integrity pass, CTS pass", and i even tried some DRM Info apps to check my Widevine level, which is marked as L1 (the best).
And yeah, i deleted playstore data (repeatedly), rebooted the device (repeatedly) and blocked the app(s) directly after installation in Zygisk.
I follow all the instructions without seeing this post, and I was not able to make it work.
But your video also covers the fix for my problem...
CLEARING THE CACHE AND STORAGE DATA made it work!!!
you rock!!!
Tried these instructions on the LineageOS 20.0 build for Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 (rom is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...1-2-lineageos-20-0-for-galaxy-tab-s3.4510785/).
After following all the instructions, the play store is still coming up as "Device is not certified".
Thinking this might be because the ROM is an Android 13 ROM and I notice that some of the Magisk modules referenced are only certified up to Android 12.
Hi all,
I checked on the Play Store it says "device certified" also several Safetynet checkers say the same ("passed").
The only thing that I can not use is my banking app.
My phone Sagit using lineage-20.0-20230119-nightly-sagit-signed.zip and twrp-3.7.0_9-0-sagit.img
twrp-3.7.0_9-0-sagit.img
lineage-20.0-20230119-nightly-sagit-signed.zip
Why is saying ("passed") that I can't use my banking app?
P.S.: I don't install any Magisk or SafetyFix.
Thank you
Maybe your Banking app detects your open Bootloader or the ROM misses some keys or something.
I have Magisk installed on my debloated stock ROM and use the provided feature to hide it from those apps, works like a charm.
Banking app worked fine, got an update and suddenly "This device is unsafe, contact support". Deleted App data, hid Magisk, rebooted, worked again (and does still).
Thanks, it works on my samsung s4
It worked for me on S20 ultra.
Thanks a lot!
