Google.com is not working - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

OK
I intalled a new stock ROM from sammobile but ever since then when I open Google.com in the browser a message pops out saying your flash player is out of date click OK to update then it redirects me to adobe page.
Plz any help with that?
Thanks

Update your flash player its that simple .

Keep in mind that Chrome and Stock browser ('Internet') do not support plugins of any kind, including Flash. You'll need to use another browser, like Dolphin or Firefox.
Getting Flash is very easy:
Download this file onto your phone (Or onto your PC and copy it to your phone). http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk
(That's the official Adobe download link. Adobe took over Macromedia years ago.)
Just install it like any .apk:
Download the file.
Go to settings > Security > check the box behind 'Unknown Sources',
Go to the downloaded file and open it like any file. That'll open the installer.
Follow the steps.
Open the browser. (Again, Chrome or Stock don't support plugins.)
Go to browsersettings > Plugins.
Set it to either Always or Tap to activate. (Or whatever name the browser gives it.)
That's it. Flash is updated and working.

Invoking Installer

I need to find a way to invoke the installer app on the G1 when downloading a third party app via OTA. I know its possible, I'm just still stuck in the Windows Mobile realm and haven't switched gears to Linux for awhile. Any thoughts?
If you're talking about installing via the web browser on the device, you need to serve up a specific mime type, i believe it is application/vnd.android.package-archive
I read somewhere on another forum that there's a setting that needs to be changed on the phone to allow non-market apps to install on the device. I'll see if I can find it.
Here's how
Download Web files and applications
Before you download any files or applications using the Browser, note the following:
• Before you can download Web applications, you must explicitly “allow” downloading from the Home > Settings screen:
1
Press HOME, then press MENU and select Settings.
2
Select Applications, then on the Application settings screen, select the Unknown sources check box.
• All items downloaded form the Web are stored on your SD card, so be sure you have a card installed in your phone before you download from the Browser. (Read more in “SD card slot” on page 11.)
• The Browser will only allow you to download items that are supported by an application installed on the phone.
I can't get any apk file to install if its on the SD. Is there anyway that the apk could call on the installer to run? Its a really big pain for me right now. I need to be able to offer a free app but for reasons I can't get into I need it to be installed from the device and not OTA.

flash 10.1

i believe it hit the market place recently, but it is only for 2.2
there is a workaround supposedly that allows you to download a recompiled apk and have it overwrite the flash lite that is on the evo.
http://www.machackpc.com/featured/how-to-get-flash-10-1-on-htc-evo-4g-without-installing-froyo/
i have tried this though, and it does not work. it installs fine, overwrites, and upon visiting youtube via opera browser, it even asks if i want to view the content with "htc flash player" but when the player opens, the videos will not play
figured i'd give anyone looking to try it the heads up.

NST - Can't Browse or open non-market apps.

Hi All,
Rooted my nook, market worked on the second day as posted on threads all seems well..
Installed multitouch app thanks to this site, and downloaded ES file explorer from Google Play website straight to my nook in hopes to install the norefresh tool here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568560
Just 2 issues.
1. When trying to install norefresh tool, I get some message that for security, no non-market apss can be downloaded. I found a thread saying to initiate the process of downloading an Amazon App to find the "secret menu" in order to change this setting.. However, see problem #2 below...
2. No browsers work.
Opera Mini doesn't open, and I tried pushing into my nook from my desktop by re-downloading Opera Mini.. Install looked fine, when I try to open Opera Mini on my NST, I see it start but then it ultimately fails when I try to open.. For the generic browser, it opens, but when I try to search it just brings me back to the Android Homepage.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Did you enable non market apps using "Nook color tools"?
Remember the box is checked when nook color tools comes up.
You need to uncheck it and then recheck the box.
Opera mini does not work for me too. Opera mobile works fine.
Searchmarket is useful to get market search working
Hope this helps

The default browser doesn't bring you back to the android homepage, it just crashes

[BUG] [CM11] cm updater cannot download

For about a month now the cm updater will not download updates. It notifies me of them, but if I tap the download button it won't start the download. It's not a problem with my Internet as I can download the files from the cm download page using Opera. Also, if I put the downloaded file into /sdcard/cmupdater it detects it and lets me install it. I've got working supersu and have tried running the sdcard fix app. Any help/suggestions?
Thanks.
Turns out this isn't a bug with CMUpdater, but with the whole ROM not being able to write to /sdcard as I documented in a new thread here.

UC Browser's Flash Player no longer downloadable

Hi all!
I'm on a custom 4.4.4.
I've been using UC Browser exclusively as a flash player. It's not tagged as an Internet Browser in my phone, but as an emulator .
The thing is the new versions have no support for flash (at least on 4.4.4.), so I never update this app.
I've managed to download an old UC Browser version that works as decent as possible with local .swf files: UC Browser 10.10.8.820.
Along with that one I downloaded the newest available flash player version from Adobe's site - Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81).
No matter how recent the flash player version I got, as soon as I opened UC Browser I was being told that my Flash Player is outdated and I was advised to get a "newer" one, for a simple tap of a button.
Of course that's dubious, but all aside, this was working great. Also, the other apps that supported flash were able to recognize and use this one.
I somehow uninstalled this flash player and nowas we speak, it' s been pulled down. The browser no longer downloads that particular exclusively working version.
Is there anyone out there that happens to have this particular UC Browser's Flash Player installed or backed up? I would be forever grateful.
Thank you!
