[Q] Remote console on Nexus Player, how? (ADB/SSH?) - Nexus Player Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
Checked SSH Server, could not provide a remote shell on x86-devices. Read somwhere that remote ADB doesn't work on the current firmware.
So it is possible to do it somehow? Right now my only option for remote is to SSH to a Linux-box I have standing next to it, which in turn has a USB ADB connection to the NP

I'm also interested in this.

Looking for remote - ActiveSync or remote debugging...

Hi.
The project is to debug an application which is located at a phone not accessible to me.
There are (probably) 2 options:
Some how establish a remote debugging session between the 2 PCs so VS can connect to a remote ActiveSync Session, via msvsmon.exe and the stuff found and working in PC remote debugging.
Replacing ActiveSync with a tool that can provide the same services not only over USB or over BT, but over IP as well
Are any of the above options available?
I 'd like a replacement of ActiveSync and I could easily make one if i know how VS expects it to work.

[Q] telnet or ssh

I am new the the Android game especially the tablets. I have searched high and low and I can not find an answer. I want to know if anyone has used their tablet to telnet or SSH to a Cisco or other device using the USB connection.
Has anyone atleast thought of this as an option?
Better terminal pro has a ssh app that may suit your needs?
FWIW, I use the app connectbot to ssh to my router (Netgear) and nas (Qnap). But that's via the WiFi, I don't know if you can connect via USB.

ssh
I know that I can connect via WiFi I wanted to know if I could console into the device. I want to know if the USB be is a multi function port.

[Q] How to setup ADT-1 via OSD with no remote?

Hello,
I have ordered an ADT-1 from eBay and I have a question about initial setup. I have connected my ADT-1 to my TV via HDMI, the network connection via Ethernet, but I'm trying to figure out how to set up going through the on-screen menu.
On my TV screen, the first screen are language options - if it came with a remote, I would just press "OK" and I assume it would prompt me through everything. I have tried installing the "Android TV Remote Control", but it seems to install on my Galaxy Note 3, it detects the ADT-1 on the network, but then the app continuously crashes making the remote unusable.
I guess my question is how, or what do I need to go through the initial setup of the ADT-1 on my TV screen? Do I need to break out my Logitech remote from the basement and see if the ADT-1 is in its database? Or is there another way to set this up through the OSD?
Thanks in advance

Cant Connect Shield Controller Wirelessly After Full Android v2.2

After my install of Full Android v2.2 on my Shield TV I cant get the controller to connect wireless. I installed the keyboard layout files and can connect with usb. So following zulu99 post I installed DroidMote Client and Server on the Shield and connected but I still cant get wireless to work. I'm not familiar with DroidMote so I could be using it wrong idk. His instruction here are not really clear.
Could somebody help me out with this?
You have to tether the controller with your phone, as I understood. Is your mobile with droidmote connected to the shield?
so you have to connect the controller with the phone and this should work. I haven't done this because I use the controller wired.
