Every 4.4.X rom I have tried to Arc S har one problem in common, when I webbrowsing if often freezes and reboots.
I read somewhere that it is like that with all kitkat roms, but why and are there any fix or setting for it to get svolve?
I experiencing the problem happen fewer times if I dont have the websocket activated on the webbrowser, but the problem still remains.

Ok so i got the newest stock rom for sweden... i havent modded that much but 1 common problem i keep getting is that when i got the sms application running and press the panels button the device hangs directly.... this is kind of annoying as i use the texting alot..
is this a common bug?
Nope
I just tried it a couple of times on my Xperia GENERIC UK R2A_10 with a whole host of buggy as hell today plugins running and it still switched just fine and no slower than ever.
Maybe it's been a slight translation error in your Swedish ROM that causes the problem.
Does it reproduce every time, and at what point in the SMS app exactly does it happen?
Anyone using CyanogenMod or Desire Rom encounter the random touch misalign problem that has flooded the google's forum http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=04134c63c784258e&hl=en

happens occasionally, but now rarely (almost never) with the latest cyanogenMod (5.0.3.1) - turn off the screen and turn on fixes it.
i think it will be eradicated completely with the next offical (and cm update)
yes, it is better for me too with CyanogenMod 5.03.01, I feel it is more due to the new .32 kernel
Now that you mention it--yeah, the problem has all but disappeared ever since I flashed CM and now Modaco's Desire. I think I encountered it a grand total of once in two-three days, though admittedly I still haven't spent enough time with the Desire ROM.
I wonder whether the touch screen driver in CM is the same as the one in the official ROM>
No problems at all with Desire image and rarely using latest cyan. It was making my stock unusable.
Ha, id totally forgot about that issue, I havent experienced it at all since switching to Cyan, atleast not that I can remember
I noticed that the alignment/calibration problem has been improved. not perfect...but improved.
I've been actively trying to palm-wrap and tilt the screen at an angle that usually gave me calibration problems on stock. Nothing; touch alignment etc remains perfect. I guess it was a software and not hardware issue after all!
So the CM does not eliminate the problem. I hope google will fix the driver in the source code, or the problem will not be gone.
i have a question, does it fix the 3g dropping/switching to edge problem?
I still have it on cyanogen 5.0.3. Actually quite often and this really annoys me, I did a wipe install.
Hi, guys I'm on darky rom 9.2. There is a strange problem with the phone lately. Sometimes all if a sudden the phone freezes and could only be revived after taking out the battery. The frequency of which at times could be once every half an hour or once in a day. I'm sure I'm not the only person encountering this issue. Has anyone come across any solutions for the same? Just in case this matters I'm using SOK kernel with jfs lagfix without binds.
maybe u can try restoring factory setting n try flashing again.
Use another rom that is what's causes your problem .

I have done countless searches and tried everything I possibly could to find a solution to my problem and nothing has worked.
When running any 4.4 rom, and I have tried pretty much all of them, I have this wifi issue. The problem is that if I have wifi turned on the phone starts randomly rebooting approximately every 15-20 minutes when the screen is off. I have tried every setting, upgraded and reset my router(dd-wrt) with different settings and a static ip, and tried different apps that are supposed to help with wifi issues.
This does not happen on stock roms and I have zero issues with any other devices on my network. The very limited amount of info any where that I have found with a similar problem all lead to dead ends. This happens regardless of being a fresh install with no apps installed besides gapps. I really just can not think of anything else to try. Please help me with my G2, I really want to like this phone. :crying:
From the complete lack of info I am able to find on this it would seem to be quite a rare problem. But if anyone has any suggestions for me I would really appreciate it.
No suggestions at all?
Mine is doing this too, however not as frequently. Are you using a proxy app? And do you have auto-wifi disconnect on?
It has nothing to do with the router. I'm 99.9% sure it's either a rogue app or a bad install.

No I'm not using any proxy apps or disconnect. It's not an app or bad install as far as I know. Like I have said this has happened with every install of any 4.4 rom that I have tried. Including, PA, CM and Mahdi. When installing any rom I always do a full wipe, cache, data, dalvik and system. Even without out installing anything besides gapps it happens. So I think I can rule out a rogue app or a bad install.
I have reinstalled countless times and it always pops up. On occasion there has been instances where the problem does not start for several hours after a fresh install but invariably the issue does come up and the reboots start again every 15-20 minutes when the screen is off.
I mentioned the router because, although rare, they can cause issues with connecting devices. Most of the problems that I have read about is usually the other way around though. The router crashing with certain devices connecting to them. But I have had zero issues with my router and any other devices but still thinking it could be possible.
I have a 4.2 rom(Energy) installed currently with no issues whatsoever. It is only KItKat that seems to be a problem. I just have no idea what it could be.
What model is your g2 and kernel? The only thing I can think of is you are changing sleep tweaks on the kernel and causing it to sod when in deep sleep. Are you undervolting?

It's the d801. Every kernel on every rom. I have tried using kernels as is or using Trickster to undervolt, overvolt, you name it, I've tried it.
Any other suggestions?

Make a backup and wipe everything, and boot up into a totally clean rom WITHOUT installing Gapps for it. Then see if it keeps happening. I'm searching around and not really finding anything on this issue. Mine hasn't been doing it since I flashed the new AOSB build

Well I took your advice. I wiped everything and did a fresh install, latest PA without gapps. The only thing that I have done is connected it to my wifi. I let it go for about 3 hours and had no reboots. So I installed Banks Core gapps. Again, I let it sit for 3 hours. No reboots. All the while it has been plugged in and charging. As I write this, I just unplugged it from the charger and within 2 minutes had my first reboot. We'll see if they continue.
So now, I wiped and reinstalled PA without gapps. I did not install anything else at all. Turned on wifi and started getting at least 2 reboots per hour without even using the phone at all. When I turned off the wifi it has been running for 10 hours now without any reboots at all. I am at a complete loss as to what could be the problem. Is there anything I can do?

I hate to say it, but I'm at a loss too. Best course of action I can see is for you to return to stock, email LG, and ask for a replacement for a defective device.
Hi,
I didn't found any solution or working ROM/Kernel/Radio so maybe someone will point me to any direction except going back to 4.3
Like many users I have problems while listening music by my bluetooth headset. I have random disconnections while listening to audiobooks and calls. While listening to music it's usually random I can listen for 20-30 minutes nothing happens and sometimes it will disconnect after 5 and only reboot will fix the issue. Second problem is disconnect while calling. I have disconnections and reconnection's every 5 to 30 seconds. It's also random. Sometimes it works - usually it doesn't.
I'm using right now AOKP ROM but according to @aalvico post that problem exists also on Slim/PA/Purity and not on Omni and XeonHD.
Changing radio didn't solve issue. I tried AOKP/Franco/Hells Kernel. Same issue.
I started to experience this issue on KVT49L build.
So final question is - do any one knows 4.4/4.4.2 ROM that doesn't have this issue (meaning someone fixed it)?
I didn't had stock 4.4.2 yet, any one knows is the issue present there also?
This issue is so annoying that I would even go to stock to get rid of it.
Well, I'm using the nexus 5 port (KOT49H) with matrix 13.5 kernel and v4a and I never experienced problems like that, neither did I on previous builds.

Thanks for reply. Could you give me more details what Rom you are using? I changed from AOKP 4.3 directly to 4.4.2 so I missed a lot nightly builds to catch this issue earlier. I don't really expect much of the rom except battery, I used AOKP ROM since second day I had my N4 so I don't really know how other roms/stock rom perform or what features I have in AOKP that I would not have in other (I needed ROM with quick pin unlock feature because of Exchange policy - now Xposed framework/mod did the job).
This issue is so annoying that I even considered selling N4 and buying something else. Then I thought first I need to try change the rom.
I have been terribly quiet for over 3 years and right now I can't even write in developer topics :/
Yes i had this some kind of similar bluetooth issue not with audio(actually didnt tried) but with bluetooth transfer from my pc to n4. the file got transfered successfully but my n4 hanged and restarted. Im using Purity rom with hellscore b45 stable kernel. This happened only once now the problem is solved on its own.
