I have did a great blunder :crying:. I have rooted my phone and have not took any back up. I was installing new font. Due to that i dunno how the system font became bold and with some whimsical mind (eh :silly: i thought not to read stuff and tried this stupid thing) i deleted a font file something like droid bold something. When I rebooted it was bricked eh and I have no back up of SBF anything else than contacts. Now I am searching for stock SBF but all those given on other posts are now not available. Please give me working link or suggest me any solution to get it in working condition again:
My phone as I have checked before is SoC model and have froyo 2.2 I again did mistake not have saved full specifications anywhere one more thing that it says made in china.
Try one link from this page forum.frandroid.com/topic/54848-rom-stock-android-froyo , if it doesn't work for you, I have this one : JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_164-003_BLUR_SIGN_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B80AA03A.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNFRYORTFR_P014_A008_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf and I can upload it on a server if you need.

Ok, whats up guys, First off, My name is Silver, and I come to you in dire need of help.
Before I start, this is concerning the device, The Huawei Ascend (M860).
Recently, we here at myascend(dot)org have all been stuck on Android 2.1, and recently IcarusMod came out, and everyone updated to that.
But upon looking farther, I came across an 2.2 update that was released in China for the C8600 (The China Version of the M860). We tested it, and BAM! it worked...but with 2 problems. The Data Service and Wi-Fi did not work. Phone Calls and Text worked fine, but no Data. One of the Developers was able to crack the thing open and Deodex it and load it using Clockwork v2.5.1.8 (Which is how we got the phone calls working)
Apparently there are no APNs
I started doing some research and I thought that maybe if i transfer some of the system files like APN-Configs.xml into the zip, it might work. But alas, I failed.
MY QUESTION IS...Would a developer be nice enough to take this signed Froyo port and possible help make the Data work and Wi-Fi work. Here is the download for the Froyo Update(C8600)
(Note: FLASH USING CLOCKWORK v2.5.1.8)
Apparently, I cant post outside links, so if you could, please go to the site MyAscend(dot)org and you'll find my forum post under Development...Thanks...
Wrong forum I think.
bump?? This plox?
Check the build.prop for something like:
"rild.libpath=/system/lib/libhtc_ril.so"
Data wont work if it's pointing to the wrong, or a non-existent, file (correct me if i'm wrong).
Check your working ROMs and see what file it's pointing to, it might be different in the Chinese version.
Not got a clue about wifi though i'm afraid.
Ill do that! thanks, Ill talk to my friend about developing it....meh, this is gonna be a long project
I am new for motorola and i have to ask, is there any specific way to flash other roms to the defy from iusacell mexico?; or do I follow the same process of the many topics in the dev seccion?
Long story short, i have been flashing custom roms to cellphones for 18 months, but all of them where from telcel or just tablets; but 1 month ago i bricked the only cellphone i tried from iusacell (SE x8) and I thought it happend because of the iusacell software; specially since i had an x10 mini pro(telcel) and never had a problem with it.
Is there anything i might want to know before starting the process or any suggestion that may be usefull? I really dont want to brick my new phone which i must have for 1 year long.
What I know already with some search is:

Read this entire tutorial thoroughly and it seams that the locked bootloader lets me play with the device all i want and get me going on the area, but i need a SBF of my country
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216982
Getting the SBF is another topic, but is this correct?, do i have any risk if i get the SBF?
Hello, please forgive me if i do anything wrong, i'm new to the forum and I really need help as i've been doing research on my problem for days now...
I just got a european (german) Droid Pro and was a bit upset about the fact that i couldn't upgrade to Android 2.3, so I decided to try CM9 and at the beginning everything looked as it would turn out quite well, but after a while of testing I noticed the Phone application would not work at all.
After restoring my backup the Pro didnt manage to get over the Motorola Logo anymore, so i became nervous and tried SBF, now my phone is bricked (Code Corrupt) because i belive i used the Verizon SBF... stupid me!
I've heard that i could use the Argentinian SBF to get it all working again but all the links i've found are dead, and i've been looking for them for about 5 hours now! Does anyone of you have the SBF and could reupload it in any way? That would be brilliant!
Oh and Greetings from Germany, XDA!
Don't use rsdlite!!
But only sbf_flash under linux!!
BRILLIANT, thank you so much, it worked!
wow... it's like magic
Thank you!
My main phone atm is unavailable so I have to use my good old defy(MB525)again. the problem is that I haven't used it for like 2 years ( back then it was working ok ) and it's almost unuseable now. It has CM 10 with 4.1.2(AND it's recognized as MB526 atm!?)(that's how I bought it from a friend) on it and it's really really laggy. It freezes at the most basic commands and even writing a message is really hard.
In settings, the internal memory appears to be 0.00B and everytime the phone reboots I get through the "Welcome" stuff , like when you just turned the phone on for the first time.
So, I've been thinking to go back to the stock rom, considering I just want basic stuff from it ( calls, messages, browsing the internet ) but i couldn't really find any stock FBS's. there was a thread with them but the link is down atm .
In a thread, someone pointed to this site http://motofirmware.center/files/category/33-jordan-umts/ and he said here are defy sbf's , but I;m not sure sure which shoud i flash.. I'm using the phone from Romania, it was bought from Cosmote(which is currently named Telekom ) and I'm running a Vodafone sim atm.
Thanks a lot!

You should try Android 2.2.2 Moto_Version.34.179.2.MB525.Retail.en.CEE from motofirmware or Google Drive
Hi peeps, I've asked this in a couple of threads but the posts look a little dead.
I need help which i know the answer is out there somewhere but mostly in Spanish. Thats what it seems when it comes to the ZTE devices.
Ok so i rooted my L2 and put a custom recovery on that I first come across but never used before Carliv Touch 2.2.
I made a back up and then found a KK ROM. I installed the ROM but it didn't give me any UK network, so I used my back up and all was fine.
A couple of weeks later I done a stupid thing and completely wiped my device android along with it. I can still get in to the recovery but my backup says MD5 mismatch. I downloaded a custom ROM to my desktop and tried to sideload it in but that kept on failing.
I need help please, I have no idea what is going on. I know a little about these things but not so much when it comes to MTK devices.
Can anyone help, If someone can do a lil step by step for me with links to what I would need, I would be very grateful.
There's loads of tut's on the web but all in Spanish with links to firmware for their networks.
Again...... Please and Thanks
