Yep, curious myself too....

Well I'll tell you this. It asked if I wanted to participate in VoIP testing and I didn't want to and my survey ended.

Yes, got it,
unfortunatly i don´t own it anymore, changed to Droid Turbo.

did the same.

There is no way they are updating the Droids to Lollipop before last year's Moto X or the Turbo.
If I were a betting man, I'd bet it is some sort of minor bug fix update for VoLTE or something. Maybe an update to add full Moto Voice stuff?

Maybe they can make the phone not sound like crap/cut out on 50% or more of calls?

Must be your area/reception? I've personally never dropped a call in the year I've had this phone.

http://www.androidcentral.com/motorola-lollipop-update-coming-2014-and-2013-phones-really-soon
This suggests the update could be 5.0.1. It also might be a pre-release in order to get the device ready. Guess we will find out soon enough.

This one wasn't LP ... Honestly not sure what changed but my update is running smoothly

Mine is downloading the update right now. It says its only 53 MB so it can't be too much.

Got mine updated. Now to see what changed.

I'm not part of the soak but my maxx shows the update as available. Any word on if there are any problems for people who unlocked with sunshine?

Yes, looks like an update to fix bugs in the last update (though I personally was not having any problems). I don't really notice any difference so far.

[Q] still no 4.2.2 update for me

Hey there,
quick question, as i'm new to this, since this is my first android phone. so i've heard that 4.2.2 was released about a week ago. now apparently this update comes in waves, meaning that not everyone will get it at the same time. now i've got two questions about it, since i still haven't received this update:
- is this normal that you have to wait so long to get an update that's already available to a lot of people? (don't wanna do the framework trick)
- what is the purpose of that? please don't tell me, google couldn't handle the traffic when some people want to download this tiny update at the same time? oO
i'm just asking because im starting to worry if there's something wrong with my phone that makes it unable to receive system updates. i don't need the update that bad.
Yes. Don't worry.
I have a n4 ,n7 and n10. Framework worked for me 1st time with all the devices. Its very easy. Why not just do it???

Because i've read that it messes up / resets settings of certain apps.
Worked fine for me.
Clearing Google services framework from the apps section definitely works.
I haven't gotten it either. Framework worked on N10 and gnex. I'm mainly not forcing it on N4 out of curiosity of how long it will take. Yes, I'm strange but not really needing update on N4. No reboots, no butter in the update, etc.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
I haven't got it either. Is that related to the country or the batch of the phone you purchased?
Still havent got it either. I dont wanna force it with the framework data delete trick, the update is nothing interesting so id like to wait and see how long it would take to recieve the OTA.

i know in canada, the updates go through service providers(if purchased from them) instead of google servers. maybe this is what is happening if you don't see the update yet?

No update for me either, but I don't mind it. Nothing major that I've read so far will force me to manually update my phone. If it doesn't come by Google I/O, then I'd worry, but by then KLP will probably be out.

They stagger the updates so their servers don't get overloaded with everyone trying to download the update at once. Microsoft does the same thing with Windows updates but they finish within a few days.
Canada here. My N7 took five days to get the OTA. It's been five days since the rollout began and still no OTA on my N4 yet.

They're doing a super job. In the little time I've had this, I've really noticed the little things such as their Xmas boot animation. I'm aware that some don't like it, but I think most will like the little touch of 'class'. Personally, I'd like to see them really surprise me with a Superbowl or BCS bowl animation but I recognize that will only appeal to a few.

So I guess that still means January for the non-US models. Not sure why Motorola has shifted attention to the US so much in recent weeks after the initial launch, but I suppose we'll have to see how this all pans out.

Heh I'm not worried, everything always comes in time ... Motorola obviously didn't launch the phone in the US and I'm just interested in the turnaround since then from the planned US launch in January. It's been a bit irritating to see all the 16GB stock suddenly appear in the US when it's been hard to get any in the UK, not to mention accessories ... anyway, off-topic.

Hopefully. I've just flashed Blur_Version.14.14.16.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US over a UK moto G
It gave some warnings during the flash process but worked ok. Not sure though which will upgrade to KitKat first this or Blur_Version.14.14.16.falcon_umts.AWSRetail.en.US

...I haven't installed the update yet because once I do, it won't be retrievable. I'm looking for a way to extract it from the phone, but the phone has no root, ergo, I can't reach the /cache folder. There will be no Lollipop for US carriers until months after the international phones get it. There is a lot of back and forth between carriers and Samsung...this has always been the case and always will be. Whenever you see talks of a model getting an OS update and release date, it is ALWAYS the international version and then you may see "speculation" as to when "some" of the US carriers will start rolling it out.

I'm not talking about the 4.4.4 update, I'm talking other updates, 4.3, and I think the update that fixed moving apps to the SD card.
Plus, the 4.4.4 update is kind of pointless for the S4 right? Didn't Samsung make all the fixes in that update in the 4.4.2 update?
Awesome update, thanks for posting!

That is not correct. The international S4 got 4.3 2 weeks before Verizon and the only reason 4.3 was rushed to all devices was because it added Galaxy Gear compatibility. Sammy and US carriers wanted to make sure everyone bought phone and watch combos for the holidays. Verizon was the first US carrier to release... And I am sure all for monetary reasons. They had to release bug fixes soon after.
As of yesterday my lag free hangouts are now back to being laggy, not as bad but it's there again back to textra I go.

Anybody else got prompted with this update yet? Can't find any release notes at this time.

I checked for it earlier when I heard about it and installed it. September security update but not sure anything else with it.
I got the notice but have not installed it yet.
I installed it earlier after seeing many on another site that did so. it's a little bit over 100 megabytes so it's probably not much more that the actual security update.
September Security Update haven't seen anything else yet.
