[Q] Battery Temperature Too low, charging paused - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello new here and im having a problem with my phone. When i plug my s4 in to be charged i get an error saying battery temperature too low charging paused. I tested a new battery in my phone and still the same message. I checked my phone' thermostat and it thinks it is constantly -25.c
With this problem I'm thinking my thermostat is broken and am wondering if there is a way through rooting if i am able to disable this temperature warning so i can charge my phone.

Weird Battery Indicator problem

Hi guys, I have a weird problem on my phone, it only goes up to 97% at the most even if its charged overnight. Is my battery messed up or is it my phone?
Thanks in Advance
Apparently the phone stops charging when it reaches 100% and starts again when it goes below 90%. It is meant to stop it from over heating I think so I guess it's normal.

s4 charging

hi everyone....
i have a samsung galaxy s4 for almost 8months already... i dont usualy take time or check for its charging...
but as i know it takes only 1hr and half to make it full battery 100% from a 5% battery or sometimes empty battery left on charging start...
but now... i noticed having 10% battery left (wifi gps etc. all close) i start charging up around 8.34pm, but now its already 10pm and the battery is on 72% only... is this normal?
pls help... tnx...
Hi there,
I sometimes face the same issue, as i leave my S4 charging and when i come back i find that it is not at the percentage that it should already be at, but a simple unpluging and replugning it again fixes it, i face this rarely.
hope it helps
Simple. If it's not a one time issue, then your USB cable has gone kaput. There's a charging measurement app in Play, some Galaxy Charging Current or something, check it. 1.2 A is the default value when screen is on, 1.8 A when screen is off, as far as I can remember.

[Q] I9505 disabling 5% power saving and 1% critical level shutdown

I've have a zerolemon 7500mAh extended battery. I need to run it completely flat every month to help keep it correctly calibrated. this isn't that easy when 5% on this battery is closer to 15% on the standard one. needing to have it useable makes things difficult, so I'm wondering if there are any mods to files I can make to stop the phone entering power saving mode at 5% and also anything that will let me run past 1% on kitkat..
the later has a module in xposed, but it doesn't cover kitkat.
I'm rooted and happy to do it myself if something doesn't already exist for it..
Are you sure that you need to run it completely flat? The technology inside the battery gets damaged when you run it flat. The normal battery gets callibrated by charging it to 100% pulling the battery out and then charge it again till 100%.
Lion battery's get damaged by 3 things:
- Heat
- Age
- Discharging to 0%.
maybe not entirely flat, but those are zero lemon's instructions..
googled again just now and discovered an app called rootdim mentioned elsewhere. it's primary purpose is dimming but it raises the screen light value just as well.. check http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.pruss.superdim for details...

[Q] LG G2 turns off at 40% battery, won't turn back on

My LG G2 (verizon) turns itself off and will not turn back on when the battery reaches 40% capacity (or sometimes in the 20 to 30% range). When I plug it into the charger, I am turn it on and use it again, and it indicates that the battery is not fully depleted. It also seems like the battery is depleting more quickly than usual during use (web browsing).
In short, the phone behaves like the battery is dead, while indicating that it still has a significant charge left.
Are there any tests I can run to identify the problem? Or other troubleshooting tips to resolve the issue? Thanks for your help.
Battery most likely busted. Abnormal reading of the battery is a common symptom. Had it before on a HTC one..
This problem coincides with the installation of the new Lollipop OS also.
I started the upgrade, then realized it was 640MB and I wasn't on wifi, so I cancelled it. The problem started around then. I have since completed the upgrade with no improvement in the battery issue.

Battery stuck at 50%

Hey guys,
today my phone just didn't show any other battery capacity than 50%. I had it on my car dash charger for multiple hours. This evening it still turned off and showed the "Battery too low" screen, so I assume it did not charge.
First, TWRP also showed 50% and a very long weird number as CPU (top left), then it stopped showing anything about the battery
After I turned it off and tried to charge it, it crashed in the bootlogo and rebooted.
Any ideas what to do? I already reflashed the firmware.
Best regards
Colin
I have this problem too
Just use it till it gets fully drained then charge it?fully
Currently encountering the same issue with my OP5 now and when I consulted a tech regarding this one, he informed me that it may be a possible motherboard or battery issue. Will have my OP repaired by early January and hoping that it's only a battery issue(fingers crossed).

Looks like you drained the battery too much and the battery chip got confused. Or worse, one of the cells died. This doesn't just happen to OP5, but to all batteries.
There are a few options:
Replace the battery: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/OnePlus+5+Battery++Replacement/103028
Turn off the phone, then charge it fully while off. Then slowly drain the battery again, in a way where the phone isn't sleeping so Android can gather battery statistics.
If above didn't work, then do above method, but also clear battery statistics in TWRP, or the recovery of your choice.
There's the option of putting it in a vacuum sealed bag, and putting it in the freezer. Google for details, and do's & dont's.
Hope this helps!
Did you get the issue fixed? Currently I'm also having the same problem
