Hello, could someone tell me exactly what is needed to flash the latest lollipop roms? I'm running TWRP 2.8.3.0 and supersu 2.40 yet I'm unable to flash any 5.0.2 roms since I get an error in recovery saying "error in executing updater binary in zip". I think my brother was running 2.8.2.0 and had the same error message.
I had no trouble flashing the initial 5.0 lollipop roms and just recently tried flashing a 5.0.2 rom after running 4.4.2 xdabbeb for a while.
What exactly do I need to do or update to flash the latest roms and how to I fix this error?
Thank you
Recently experienced same thing. Even thought I lost root. In my case it was a newer app. Don't know how or why. Uninstalled app and all was fine. Could flash roms again. Hope ? this helps.

As long as you have the correct radio flashed for lollipop refer to my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/error-executing-updater-binary-zip-twrp-t2988604
I describe how I fixed this problem for myself.
D802 eur ,here from cloudy g3 going to 5.0.2 with no problem.Philz touch v5.0.4.7 full wipe and flashed ROM+gapps...
You have to flash the rom(cm12) , the lollipop gapps and Supersu(Zip-file).
If you do not flash Supersu, you WILL loose your Root!!!

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S5 today at a local T-Mobile store. But it turns out that the model number is SM-G900T3, for which I cannot find any information on how to root and install custom recovery. Has anyone had any luck with this model? It's build LMY47X.G900T3UVU1FOF6 Android version 5.1.1
Thanks!
What to do for G900T3 S5
Same here. I went from S4 running cyangenmod 12.1 to s5 g900t3. All because i cracked the screen on my s4. I don't like the stock firmware too much on the s5 so I've been researching rooting it. But run into the same issue. No info on rooting this model. The only thing I can think of to do is downgrade to 4.2 using Odin then root and install CWM. Yet I found a forum where someone posted they were unsuccessful in downgrading the g900t3. So HELP PLEASE.
Turns out it's actually simpler than that. If your goal is to replace the stock firmware with a custom one, such as cyanogenmod then you don't even need to root your stock firmware. All you need to do is flash TWRP custom recovery with Odin, then reboot into TWRP recovery and create a backup of your stock firmware just in case. After that you should be good to go ahead and install cyanogenmod or any other supported custom firmware. This is exactly what I've done with my SM-G900T3.
But if you really want to root your stock firmware then here is a guide for that:

Hope this helps.
OK thanks for the link. It does state not to flash if I'm on FOG6 Build, which I am. Even though my baseband version is FOF6. Guessing the Build is more important. Last night I tried to downgrade to 4.4 using Odin, that immediately didn't work. So I Flashed Philztouch CWM on it then tried to install superuser from the galaxys5 root page, but it was stuck in bootloop on the T-mobile screen. I realized the superuser was for 5.0 version. So then I used Odin again to flash my firmware back on to it the g900t3 5.1.1 FOG6 from the Sammobile website. After that, because I saw I had a reply on here, I used Philztouch to install Cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly recovery (don't know which on it was, either klte or klteusc) without rooting and I was stuck in the Cyan's big eyed alien face thing bootloop screen again. So then I had to reinstall my stock firmware once more. Basically after 4+ hours of rooting I'm back where I started. LOL. I don't know what else to do. I'm still researching FOG6 to see if I find anything.

Would this be the same procedure to follow if I wanted to put a stock T-Mobile version of 4.4.2 on my SM-G900T3? Or would that not work?
Hey guy's. It seems Motorola released a new update for moto x play ( Marshmallow Stock ROM) a while ago. But since i'm rooted and using TWRP, i have a newbie question: I know i have to remove root and flash stock recovery to update, but i have to flash the marshmallow one or i'm fine flashing the lollipop stock recovery?
Lollipop stock recovery. If you change system with custom rom ,flash lollipop firmware to get mm ota .

I'm alredy at Marshmallow. The update i'm talking about is a security patch and "system improvements". A OTA with about 254mb. That is the one i need to know what recovery to use. Also, sorry for not being specifc.

Then mm stock recovery.
My phone was stuck and I used this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 to install with tot method.
It worked and my phone was functional again.
I rooted again and installed Twrp with TWRP Manager application.
I wanted to install resurrection remix rom lollipop, in the instructions it said to update the baseband so I did through here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=12880.
The problem is I cannot install any rom or bootstack now from recovery because it says "this package is for d802, this is a lg g2".
One thing I realised is that the tot version is JB and the baseband is KK.
I repeated the tutorial from the beginning for the tot file but in recovery I get the same message.
Do I have to revert the baseband by flashing another one?
I want to get from the current stock JB rom to a Lollipop or Marsmallow custom rom.
What do I need to do?
thanks

if you are on jb you need to install KK then LP then CM
read here. you just have to do the same use tot. for your variant... root/autorec kk for recovery from KK rom.
install bootstacks for variant/ find flashable zip kdz for your varian this will be 5.0.2 stock lollipop. and same procedure use all the files for your varian bu this time use the required files you need for lollipop.

My phone is LG G2 D802 international version.
With the tot file I installed it says now version 4.2.2 so it is jellybean right?
What do you mean do the same?
in the thread with the instructions, it has a folder with tot files, the rest of them are kdz there are no kitkat tot files.
You are saying to install kitkat kdz, root and then install the stock lollipop? but if I follow the same way won't I lose root and everything?
And what bootstacks to install?
If you can be more specific it would help, thanks

yes 4.2.2 is JB.
every time yull loose root and twrp, when you move from JB to KK to LP.
you have to root. add twrp. each time unless the rom you install have root. like my d800 for LP it has root only i dont know about d802's .
some are TOT some are KDZ so ignore it in my case KK is TOT. TOT or KDZ are meant stock firmwares no root no twrp.
yes like i said above youll loose root and twrp. they should have root and twrp for JB. in the thread. i have never been to jelly bean but to KK yes and i had to rooted, install autorec for KK and installed twrp. then update the twrp with thermal twrp 2.8.7.3 from blastagator.
and download this bootstacks for my varian 5.0.2 KK bumped you use your variant.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/lg-g2-bootstacks-t3173715
not sure if you ll need the JB LOKI for the jump from JB to KK from the link above.
then i had flahshable kdzz lollipop and installed after beign roote, and had twrp, and flashed bootstacks. then i could flash stock LP.
and same you root, add twrp and update twrp. using the required files for LP.
so if you rea in JB am not sure if to go to KK you need the loki bumped that part i dont know
ok, I will try to do what you suggest when I have some free time.
What I don't get is if I flash the stock KK rom from the thread why root it and add custom recovery If I am going to flash stock lollipop after that.
Thank you very much for your responses

i think none od the stock firmawares KDZ or TOT have root or custom recoveries twrp. i have d800 they dont.
does the d802 have them? if yes then dont do it . but as far as i know its a image rom from LG they dont offer rooted phones.. so you must have a custom recovery twrp and to install a twrp first you must be rooted.. everytime you update from JB/KK?LP you loose root and custom recoveries wich are needed to flash rom
maybe from JB to KK you dont need but for LP you do i think theres is no TOT or KDZ file for LP. if am right.
and yes i guess from JB to KK you just need TOT and flash tools..
like i said ive never been into JB.
Hey there guys,i wonder if i can flash the cyanogenmod 13 from 4.4.2 stock for my model (d805).
i read some guides and i found this from here http://androiding.how/lg-g2-cm13-marshmallow-rom/
bootstack from here http://danielstuart.tk/d80x.html
and lollipop baseband from here http://cybernetus.com/d805/baseband/ (i need flash modem as well?)
so i need to do factory reset/wipe cache/data/dalvik cache and system then ->flash bootstack then -> flash the rom then -> mm gapps then ->baseband for my model from then -> modem?
im right or i missing some steps?
i have 4.4.2 stock rooted with twrp 2.8.7.0 bumped (i flash the first time with autorec and then i flash twrp-2.8.7.3-d802-bump-blastagator-signed)
thanks in advance guys and sorry for the bad english)

no i think you must be on a lollipop rom. then you can.
so if you are in kitkat, you need
kitkat rooted and twrp installed and updaate twrp with
i recomend thermal twrp from blastagator 28.7.3 dont use newer.
then install this boostacks fo your variant
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/lg-g2-bootstacks-t3173715
and find a flashable kdz 5.0.2 rom for you variant check you variant thread. install.
once you in LP then same root phone, use autorec from playstore for your variant, update twrp to 2.8.7.3
then install the boostacks you had before. reboot into recovery from recovery, then flash rom and thats it. also gapps. i think thats how you should do it.
My phone is SM-G7105 (HK version)
Android 4.3
PDA G7105ZHUAOF1
How can I root this device? I only find the ways that for Android 4.4.
Then , how can I flash the Recovery like TWRP?
Can I flash this ? https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-0-t3464864
If no, where have cm13 for my device?
I am Hong Kong people, so my English is so bad
Did you try to root with framaroot or tools like these ?
Did you try to upgrade to Android 4.4.2 ?
If your bootloader is unlocked you can try to flash a stock firmware with Kitkat 4.4.2.
I suggest not flashing recovery before updating Android to 4.4.2 as TWRP broke my phone if it wasn't at last stock Version (red lines everywhere and phone heating a lot).
I think you can try flashing the ROM you linked as it is for G7105.
