hi
i have the moto G 2014, build number KXB21.85-14 and system version: 21.11.14.titan_retde.retdeall.en.de retde , obviously bought from Germany
i have a simple question: i am looking to change my system language to ROMANIAN but this firmware does not have it
could somebody who has the same XT1068 as me (but different system version) check his languages to see if Romanian is there? if yes then please tell me what system version you are on.
for example i was planning to install XT1068 Dual Sim ALL RETAIL KXB21.85-27 LATEST.zip but i am not sure if it does not have romanian maybe i try a diferent one?
or maybe you guys have other suggestions on how to enable my language...
please not i would like if possible not to void the warranty , not to unlock bootloader, not to trip that official counter, no root.. nothing....but only if possible...
thank you in advance!

I´ve got the XT 1068 dual-sim also bought in germany ,system version 21.11.23.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03 reteu and romanian language is included. So you should look for a something with the ending reteu (europe).
ive uk KXB21.85-23 no romanian
officially i started to panic because this phone is for my dad...
i tried Firmware KXB21.85.27 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...windows-tool-moto-g-2014-xt1068-dual-t2983295
no romanian

http://www.filefactory.com/folder/c6cdedc45a775d27/?sort=created&order=DESC&show=100&page=1
no romanian
both of them show 21.11.27.titan_retaildsd.retaildsdall.en.03.retde
i cannot seem to get rid of that rtde and get something with rteu as wolfcity suggested above...
any ideas what to try next ? maybe i can get rid of that retde...
is the boot logo related to this? i didnt flash that....i removed command mfastboot.exe flash logo logo2.bin from the script...
EDIT: scratch that...i flashed the logo also...still retde...

Yes. You need unlocked bootloader.
And regarding your question about Romanian system language, mine phone doesn't have it too (build 21.85-23 / 21.11.23.titan_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03reteu).
@Wolfcity: Wtf??? Same firmware & build on both our phones mate and yours is having Romanian??? lol

Didn´t think that you called me blind bro,no insult or something. Was just confused like you were! Same firmware, different languages....very strange indeed.
Now it´s getting hard for the OP to check out the right one.Maybe he should ask Motorola (if they know more than we do.... ).

Your screnshoot is showing google now language settings, not system language settings. There is not Romanian language on kitkat, maybe they will add it in lollipop.
guys thanks a lot for looking, i hoped better news on new year's eve but...it is what it is....
with or without bootloader, the result would be the same for me if you guys say your versions don't have Romanian also...
maybe someone with the brazilian or indian rom can look and confirm...
the weird thing is that this phone is also selling in Romania, but its so new, there are no forums about it. i would ask someone in Romania who bought it. i would be curious if they have the language and what version are they on.

Sorry,I knew there was something wrong. And so bad for the OP that there is no romanian language support in any firmware.
Running LXB22.46-25 No Romanian.
this is the first android i put my hands on, that has only few languages included...
its a pitty because a language file doesnt occupy that much space
but i guess they needed to trim everything to make it fit inside 8 gb internal space...
seems my only hope now is root?
@Wolfcity he's asking about system language not google keyboards language. Happy new year btw

I have a question:
If I installed the Arabic firmware on the Galaxy Note; is all menus will turn to Arabic or I will still have the option to run my Note in English and be able to read Arabic?.
If i were you ill stay away from the UAE version, i tried to flash it into my Polish Note and ended up bricking my phone and i got not help or whatsoever from the people here.
The stock Arabic Firmware comes with English and Arabic.

The UAE rom is an official ROM
I applied it to my German Note and works perfect
others applied it to middle east , polish , russian , uk & any EU device and nothing went wrong.
Try to ask for help in the Q&A forums , someone might be able to help you with that.
try a jig to run it into download mode

I have already downloaded this file (it's the last firmware for my GT-I9508).
But, how I can extract the modem from these file !?
And how I can make it in .tar.md5 ?
Can I replace the file "modem.bin" in the french firmware by this one from the chinese firmware..? And then, flash the phone again by ODIN..?
I yes, I have another file to replace or only this one...? ("NON-HLOS.bin" file..?)
And if I do that, you think my WLAN will working after..?

open the md5 file (the firmware) with 7zip, you will find some images and files. right click on modem and NON-HLOS and copy them to your desktop.
and make them flashable with odin and flash it
if you dont know how to make it an odin file, upload it for me and i will make it for you (but it will take time...bad connection...)

Hi! I also have a rooted i9508 with fully functional Google software. Even though I am satisfied with the Google software, I want to somehow install i9505 firmware. Can I use this file : "CWM/i9505-cwm-recovery-6.0.3.2-4.tar" ?
Files
I would not recommend it, because my clockworkmod has been modded by a chinese modder. But here I have attached a 2 rar files. These have the same files inside but it's just that the file was too big so I had to split it in two. I hope this works.

The baseband version is : I9508ZMUAMDE
Sorry, but the screen shot didn't work !?
I see. Just install SuperDroid or other rom. But never install the rom for i9505 with Odin, otherwise the rom which contains modem file will break your phone .
PS, U can install Shadowsocks. Then you can browse twitter and facebook. They are blocked in China.

Hello all!
So, I have understand how I can built a new ROM for my samsung S4 GT-I9508... But before I will do it, I have some questions about the file in the original stockrom!
First, what are these files :
abbot.mbn
sbl3.mbn
tz.mbn
...There are not included in the french rom for the GT-I9505 !?
So, what I want to do, is too replace the "modem.bin" and "NON-HLOS.bin" from the ROM I9505 by these in the ROM I9508 !
And after that, I want to use ODIN to flash my GT-I9508 with this ROM...
My second question is, in witch order I have to make the new TAR file?
Thank you for your help !

If it's the SM-N9005 Unbranded version you can flash the region firmware of your choosing, SO if you go to Sammobile and choose the software for Holland it should have Dutch as language in the settings (right?)
Yes i know, the only problem is that sammobile only has the chinese firmware.
If thay had the dutch firmware i didn't encountered a problem xD.
Still, thanks for your reply and keep thinking ,

I think i already tried that, cause i did read it somewhere... and it didn't work.
And you really don't know how i can get insinde the stock rom and manually change the language?

Yup - moral of this story. Don't read forums after a nightshift! - - there is some info around on the N9006 - From what I have seen though it isn't that much different to the N9005, so a few tweaks and it should be OK.
Hi everyone.
A friend mine bought SM-T230NU in Usa, but unlikely another devices that i had see, this doesn't came with Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR).
The version is ANE2. Does exists another compilation with more languages?
If not, what another way can i to add this?
Anyone?
I see there is another version, SM-T230NT, here in Brazil, Peru and Trinidad and Tobago.
What's the diference of SM-T230NU and SM-T230NT?

Saudações tricolores(Rio de Janeiro capital).
I´m writing in English, may be to help others, I bought almost 2 years ago an Galaxy S3 International version, but the seller
send to me a wrong one SGH-T999(T-Mobile), my sister brought to me, so, to send back here in Brazil was too difficult, and I
I´m still using this phone.
What I did, for first I Root the phone and use morelocale2, and try to use hidden language, but I didn't´t find any Portuguese language(I was using a stockroom already rooted from Dr. Hollyday).
But, I forced using "Custom Locale" feature(Morelocale2), and put at Language "pt"(ISO0639) and at Country "BR"(ISO3166), this means all applications ho check the setup language and has Portuguese Language, voilá, works in Portuguese, for example Google Maps, Agenda, etc..
But, after some time more cooked stockroom come up, and my latest one have already an Portuguese-Portugal language, and I´m using almost everything in Portuguese.
Right now I have another needs, my mom bought to her a Galaxy Tab P4 8", and she ask me to help her to put Portuguese Language, what I´m thinking to do is Root the device, and try to find a Hidden Portuguese using morelocale2 or Language Enabler.
obs: Cabeção-Flu any more questions in Portuguese you can send a pin, all right.
Thanks a lot, i'll try.
With morelocale2, will only apps be in pt-br or all system too?
Do you know if has hardware difference between T230, T230NT and T230NU?

I believe there's no diference on hardware, only software, all things related to regional stuff, likes language, apps, money, etc...
I will try to find out, did you check SAMMOBILE ?
I saw that Brazilian version SM-T230NT have TV....so, the hardware isn't the same.
I downloaded some versions of rom to t230 and t230NU....but all fail when try to put.
I can't downgrade to older version...
Do Morelocale 2 changes system menu to portuguese too?
Did work perfect!!
Thx a lot!
Hello.
I've tried to unlock bootloader but, when it gets the time to get the code from Huawei's site, it just doesn't work.
There's no Unlock page, and whenever I try to acess the [...]/en/plugin/unlock/index url, it just shows up a 404 error.
How can I get the code? Is there another way?
I've tried also to use IE and Mozilla, but nothing changed.

Yes, you are right, i saw this on italian forum that Huawei since 20/04/2018
remover dowload section and unlock section too.
As reported above anyone want to unlock the bootloader have to use dc-unlocker.
Have a nice day too dude..
Hi if u email Huawei support Ireland they will provide one for you you need to email all details just give them a shout they emailed me back today saying they could do it
This is true. They have remove the unlocking tab from their webpage. So even if you sign in there is no way to request for the unlocking codes from official huawei website. If you go to DC-unlocker, unfortunately you will have to pay money to get the codes from them.
You can sign up for a bootloader unlock code with the Google Docs, the turnaround time is 12-15 hours (my own experience)

How to unlock bootloader with success (customer care) - WORKING
Hi,
I tried with the following and i received it via mail in 24hrs.
1) Go to h t t p s://consumer.huawei.com/en/contact-us/ and select "email us"
2) Select "complaints" (subject) and "others" (category)... I'm from Romania but I selected Belgium since from ROmania they told me I will have to wait for the service to comeback (phone is bought from ROmania).
I wrote the following:
"Content:I had the bootloader unlocker code for my phone but somehow i lost the code and its locked again. Please check all the details:
IMEI 1: you write your own imei
IMEI 2: you write your own imei *#06#
S/N: Written on the box, i dont think this is mandatory
Product number: this is mandatory, you can find your product number by typing: *#*#1357946#*#*
Looking forward hearing from you"
3) afterwards I received this email:
"Dear Marius,
Thank you for contacting Huawei Customer Care.
In response to your email, we will provide you with the bootloader code for your device but before doing so we would like to know the reason why you request it.
We are looking forward to your reply. Should you have any further questions, feel free to contact us.
I wish you a nice day!
Kind regards,
Diana
Huawei Customer Care Team"
4) I wrote them this message:
"Hi Diana,
I had it also last year, because I wanted to take full advantage of the latest version of android and in my region, it would only appear couple of months after plus i'm a developer and custoner requests apps/sites to function over android 6, and i had 5. I cannot do the debug and the workflow for me since i dont have access to latest versions...
Thank you,
Marius
"
5) They wrote back:
"Dear Marius,
Thank you for your patience.
I have received the necessary code you need to use in order to root your device.
Bootloader code: EDITED
As explained in our previous e-mails, please note that using the bootloader code and rooting the device will void the warranty.
I hope this proves to be of assistance and wish you a wonderful day! Let us know if we can help you with anything else.
Also, in the following hours you will receive an email with a short survey regarding the experience you had with Huawei Customer Care. We would really much appreciate your feedback."
Hope this help you
The way in which Marius obtained the code worked for me, I only changed the region from Belgium to UK, since they respond quite quicker, that's my opinion. The only thing left for them to do is send the bootloader code. So if you want a 1:1 model of what to send on Huawei Support, you can copy paste his example.
Merci Marius, m-am chinuit de vreo.. 3 zile insa vad ca metoda ta a mers in mai putin de 3 ore.

I've called Huawei hotline, it seems that they are doing maintenance for the boot unlock code page on their website and probably will be back this May. i was advised to check again after a week.
