Help me get answers for AOSP roms - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Which AOSP KitKat ROM has the best battery life? If you see this and know or have any ideas then please. I'm all open ears. Seriously.
There's nothing that I love more than AOSP kitkat. And tbh I'm only trying to find the one with the greatest battery life/standby time. Please help a brother out.

Nobody can give you a real answer to this as the answer would be subjective. Stability and speed differs from person to person so you need to look about and try for some builds for yourself and come to your own conclusion.
I would try JDMS Ultimate 1.62, it has a ton of features, some of which you cant find on other builds. It is 100% stable as far as I can tell, it's the build I've been using the most

I would change the kernel to the one listed in my signature with this build, as it seems to speed it up and eliminates 95% of slow-wakes.
Or if you want something that boots fast, try a Super-RAM build.
IMO they're not quite as stable yet, but they are FAST!!
ty ! great builds

Most stable everyday ROM?

I don't know if this has been made before though i have seen "what is the best ROM".
Basically what i need is a nice and snappy rom for everyday use that won't kill the battery and won't kill all my ram like stock. Don't want this thread to turn into a war and be closed I just want useful answers Some roms i was looking at but haven't used are Paranoid and CyanogenMod 10
Cheers

Aokp
Aokp is one of my favourite roms. This ones pretty stable and really light on battery. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716001
Another best Rom thread about to get locked! Read/test/form own opinion
Thread due to self destruct....3....2.....1......see ya
Sent from the asylum
Closed, Best/most/etc rom threads are unwelcome, its such a matter of opinion that you just need to try them to see what you like.

[Q] Setup for a New Comer!

Hey guys, i just wanna ask for a good rom, i want a rom with Good Battery Life, Better performance than stock also a good Kernel for all this, ive searched and so far majority of people ive seen run P.A and Franco's Kernel, however P.A is on 4.3 and i would love to hop in with 4.4 , also it has some features i like, mainly all i want is Halo and "Expanded Desktop", with pie functionality.
Anyone got any good ideas, ive looked at Purity, which has everything i want except Halo, so is their any way to get that.
Also can i dupe the awesome performance seen in RastaKat
Thanks in advance, and sorry for all these questions!, im new...

Asking for a "good" ROM/Kernel is another way of asking for a "best" which is not allowed on XDA. Please head over to the development section and see which "best" suits your needs.

Best Kitkat rom out now?

From personal experience what is the best kitkat rom out right now? I know there quite alot out of them but I'd rather not be going through all of them. I'd prefer what you guys are using. Also would like to know why you think its the best?
Hows the battery life, performance and what are the bugs in these roms?
Thanks in advance
Sorry, but "best" ROM threads are not allowed. Please just try the ROMs for yourself, everyone's experience is different.

custom rom advice for galaxy s4 i9505

Hi guys
sorry if this has been asked before but what is the best custom rom to install on my phone?
thanks in advance for any replies
There is no such thing as a best ROM.
There is only your favorite ROM.
Best is subjective and depends on the user. Do you want touchwiz or stock android? Do you want speed and performance or great battery life? Do you want to theme it? What features do you want/need? Do you want it to work right away or do you want to tweak it to make it totally custom?
These are questions only you can answer.
The best option for you and the greatest learning experience is to read the threads in the development forum and learn about the different options. Pick a couple ROMs that sound like they might be good for you and flash each one for a few days and test it. See what features you like or dislike. And tweak your final ROM selection based on that.
That is the ONLY way to make sure you get the best ROM for YOU
