Has anyone else experienced issues with a pink spot or aura on photos on the SGS5? It only seems to occur when taking somewhat up close pics in natural light. Its very annoying, as you might imagine.
Thanks!

Hi All,
Anyone having issue with a green tint in the centre taken with the camera?
Especially when taking snapshots of paper document. Making the handyscan app unuseable.
Well, at least you're getting a green tint, some users have gotten pink, or blue tints...
It is typical with phone cameras...even the iPhone gets a green/pink tint when taking close-up of documents...
However, a simple post processing correction (even the automated fixes in Photoshop) get rid of it pretty easily.
Handyscan is another useful app for taking pics of documents, and it fixes those tinting issues at the centre of the image.
I always get a pink circle in the middle of my pics.
The camera is the thing that ruins my experience with my LG Optimus 7, it's so awfuly bad. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one having issues...
Once in a while I get a green tint, but it`s very rare. I actually find the camera to be quite good. I can take very clear images.
I cleaned the lens with 99% rubbing alcohol, and I get noticeably less tint now...especially no more pink halo at the centre...I don't recommend others doing this though, and it might ruin the plastic parts if you aren't careful, and you need lint-free micro fiber Q-tips...
Has anyone noticed this in their camera? You take a photo in low light and a line appears near the edges of your photo (only after you've shot it). I can consistently reproduce it. I'll get mine RMA'd, but was just wondering if it was just me or do other people have it? It doesn't show up at all in more well-lit conditions.
A couple more for Christmas
It seems like a software issue to me, making me think that maybe other people have the problem too. One of these shots shows lines on both ends
I just took a few quick photos with mine and I don't seem to be having that issue either. Have you tried restoring it first?
Weird, I get that too. Only in very dark conditions though. Not really bothered about it though tbh since low-light shooting is something I'm definitely avoiding with this camera.

Nothing seems to fix it. I've called for an RMA. It's worrisome that OverTheBelow has it too. I think everyone should check. The way I've been able to reproduce it is to have the camera take a picture of a dark area (not pitch black) and make sure either the top or bottom (whilst holding it in portrait) is completely dark. So the image you capture has to have something slightly illuminated in the middle, but the edges are black.
I just tried it on another Nexus 4 and got the same results unfortunately. Is this a common issue? Has anyone else experienced it?!!
Hi Folks,
I really couldn't find any thread to my issue... So I started this one... I hope this is okay.
I got my N6P yesterday and so far I love this device.
But something is very weird for me... When I take a video with 240fps the result is very pixelated, Blurry and Flickering
I uploaded a video I took on YouTube... Could somebody please tell me... Is this normal?
https://youtu.be/Ja5O9v0E7No
Or do I need to give it back?
Thank you in advance for your replies.
Regards
Jay
Me and my brother have this issue on our 6Ps as well
The graininess/pixelation is from the low light. The flickering is from the light source itself. Mine do the same thing in my living room where I use LED lights. It has to do with the fact that the lights are actually flickering very quickly, too fast for your eyes to see. When the video is recording at such high FPS, it can see the flickering of the light. Using different light sources will help limit the flickering, such as filming outside or with constant light from a different type of bulb.
Here is a video shot with my 6p outside in the late afternoon with the sun partially set, but still a lot of natural light: https://goo.gl/photos/caUHhnVCFR2AoSu68
Here is another one shot in a house lit with fluorescent (or maybe LED) bulbs, which show the grainy picture from low light, and the flickering: https://goo.gl/photos/nM4K6NGZbRJwTd776
Both shot on the same Nexus 6p, both normal.
Howdy, a quick question. Has anybody noticed with the Mate 9 camera that the colors get quite over saturated (especially the skin color) when the photo is taken under artificial light (i.e. incandescent or fluorescent)?
I've had the Mate 9 now about a week and otherwise the great camera really struggles with the white balance in certain lighting conditions.
My previous phone was Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the camera took some really really good photos.
Thanks.
I noticed more general difficulties of all kind of digital cameras with artificial light. Especially with led or energy-saving bulbs or even fluorescent tubes, ranging from focussing problems over incorrect white balance and saturation to some kind of miscolored yellowish waves.
I have almost the same problem. Photos are useless in bright light. whenever there is bright white color the camera cannot handle it. the result is a photo taken with very cheap camera. useless. Anyone know how to fix it? is it a software or hardware problem?
Never got issues with white objects even on artificial light...! Camera performing well... No blur
I have two Mate 9 here. Both cameras working very well in a way that I sometimes let my Nex at home. They do not better than the Nex but good enough. I have the impression that the one with Nougat works better than Oreo in dark situations, pictures have less noise.
White coloured objects are no problem at all.
Hi everyone,
I am experiencing several issues with my OP8 Pro related to the green tint screen and camera.
Especially the 3x camera is making a big foggy mess.
Others are experiencing this issue with the zoom lens?
I had something like this too.

I was also experiencing some weird issues with my telephoto lens where my shots turned up very overly sharpened and blurry and were the most colour inaccurate photos ever.
I even had checked it with 2.9x and 3.0x back and forth to see the difference, and was shocked about the result.
But the new OOS11 update seems to have fixed that issue for me.
Try updating it to the latest version via system updates. Hope it works for you too.
Have a nice day!
True, not noticing above issues on 11...
