New Firmware Update OTA Notification - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today got an notification about an OTA update to my S5 G900F. I am already using the latest Firmware update on 11-Dec-2014 from Sammobile. I am not sure, is there any new updates rolled-out for that ROM currently.
ROM currently I use is G900FXXU1BNL7_G900FXEO1BNL1_XEO (attached the About Device Screenshot) and the size of the New Update is about 308.34 MB
Did any of you got a similar notification like me as well?

Hi,
I never heard about that....
It's a I9300 ROM, so must works normal...
[]'s
Chinese firmware are specially encoded or whatever don;t know ....which makes it not possible to flash...happened with S2 ... never tried with S3 though.
What's the point with a new thread?
We have the official firmware thread already..
Lag is fixed
I flashed it and all works fine...
power button lag is gone and this indeed looks like a final release but lot of bloarware and issues with play store ... missing google now, play service ... and all!

Odin or Mobile Odin?
Odin doesn't work, some error when trying to flash the bootloader.
Thread closed. Please guys, I've said this quite a lot recently... if a new firmware drops, do not create a new thread about it. There is no point and it just increases the amount of junk for users to sort through in the general forum.
Please just post in one of the already existing firmware threads.

Yeah, I actually bit the bullet and just flashed it. My real concern was that it had the initial 442 release issues, but Ive been running it alittle while as I set it up and it seems nice and smooth, but being from UK I also flashed the XXUFNB9 UK Modem as well and all seems fine.
Your right friend, There are no differences apart from it seeming a little smoother, a few Icon changes and updated apps and some God awful bloatware crap that you can thankfully uninstall without being rooted.
Ill report back in a few days on Battery life and reception once modem settles.
cheers
Feels smooth yes, except messaging and hangouts, which stutter a lot on opening/using/closing.
Does this rom contain the BTU csc like the previous one?
Downloaded and flashed last night, all in all i cannot see any visible difference versus GNE8 (last official build), but using it, it does seems a tad quicker, but the main difference is my battery life is way better.
I always wipe data/cache an cycle the battery but all the latest builds over the last few months have been worse on battery life (though others do not have this issue), but for me since taking off charge this morning, 5hrs later only a 7% drop, versus 20% before.
Are you guys updating using Odin or OTA? It still hasn't hit OTA as far as I can see?

Wonder what's new in this build... Does anybody knows? And again: is it multi-csc firmware?
[EDIT]: I've downloaded sammobile version and it seems to be broken. I can browse zip but I can't extract contents. Even build date is somehow strange...
I would like to know more about that firmware also. I'm thinking about to upgrade to this from official 4.3 but not sure is it good and does towelroot work with this.

So what are disadvantages of this Kit-Kat firmware over older 4.3? Is there any reason not to upgrade to this firmware?
no as far I used it. much more fluid

Disable whatever crap you have sitting in your notification bar. It'll fix this bug.
Does it matter if the firmware is "Nordic" if you're not in that geography? I'm in the UK using an Australian P605 and I'll be waiting another year for Telstra to update to Kitkat so I'm hoping to use a generic one for the UK. I'm not using Vodaphone or any carrier at the moment so I don't need a carrier-specific firmware anyway.
You can flash Nordic ROM for sure.

Nope, not at all- in fact, the only things different are the installed apps and things like APN settings. I've been running non-US firmware on both my OG and 2014 Note 10.1s since I'd first gotten 'em.

Yeah, what can I disable if I just installed the stock firmware? Except the brightness/volume sliders (which doesn't fix the issue).
as this ROM of battery consumption goes.?

Non-starter, esp. since the "crap" in the notification bar is usually on behalf of what I've got the ChromeCast doing at the time (Hulu+/HBO Go/VUDU/etc.).
Samsung has screwed this up, and one can only hope they've got plans to fix it. I've seen it suggested that the sound notification bar is what does it.
Does it support multiuser? Thx.
Well , it has multi user support but no ART ?

Typical... A week after I got fed up with Samsung's pathetic attempt at a rollout and went custom.
Someone in their offices should be kicked in the balls.. BTU should have been the FIRST update rolled out, being it's the simplest!
OK... stupid question but, what is BTU?

It's the coding for international "generic" devices. The ones needing the least amount of customisation imaginable as there's no operator requirements to complicate things.
So it should have been the first one released instead of just about the last!

It's 1.31GB btw.
The real question is whether this has the WiFi disconnect bug present in other stock N7100 KitKat builds.
I am using this ro and i was updated ota. And all work good. No problems with WiFi.
