Xperia Z3 Compact Clock Font? - Xperia Z3 Compact General

Very quick question, I'm just wondering does anyone know what type of font is used on the clock for the Z3?

I'm guessing it's just a bold and non bold version?
Any feedback would be great

Hey, thanks so much for going to that effort to help me. I tried the fonts you attached and they aren't acting like fonts usually do for me, they seem quite pixelated when enlarged for some reason. Also, although they are very very close, I don't think they are an exact match of the font style I really appreciate your efforts! I haven't a clue how to identify the font :crying:

Well I found out what font it is, but unfortunately it seems you can't download it anywhere
Here it is: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/design/works/projects/sst-font/index.html

Well I took these from my /system/font folder. They seem to be good.

I think the bold is a little heavier in the original image, but it's almost perfect. Thank you so much!

You are welcome! If you go into your system/font folder you can copy the font you need from there. I took UltraLight and Light versions, but there are Regular and Medium versions as well, a little bolder if you need.
I wonder why Sony didn't use this SST font as default for their phones. For me it looks much nicer than Roboto.

Oh cool, thanks for the info. I connected the phone via airdroid and had a look in the system/fonts folder but all I can see is SST ultra light
Maybe the others disappeared after applying the latest OTA update as the clock was like in the original posts image before the update, and now it's just the same weight for hours and minutes and I think it might be ultra light. We're the regular and medium ones in your fonts folder when you looked?

There are some hidden fonts in that folder. I noticed now that some have a dot before the name, .SST-medium for example. That's probably why they don't show up. Anyway here are the Medium and Heavy from mine. Didn't find Regular.

Thank you thank you and thank you again
It looks like the combination is the one I've underlined in the attached image, which is medium on the left and ultra light on the right. I'm almost definite that's the right combo
Very much appreciate all the help you've given on this!

You're welcome.

Your Favorite fonts

I tried installing calibri ttf (the ones that comes with Vista) and found out that it is very well suited for my universal. I can go as small as I can and still very much readable. The font is also much nicer and cleaner to look at than the default font.
For curiosity's sake, what fonts are currently installed and used in your universal?

technically you shouldn't, etc etc, but any chance of ... a backup... of that font on this forum? how do you install fonts anyway?
I use Candara and Consolas from the new Vista fonts. They look very good on the Universal.
To install a font, copy it to \windows\fonts on the Universal, but beware, they can be large, and once installed, can be tricky to delete because they get locked by apps that use them...
Calibri is very similar to Frutiger Linotype which will already be on the system if you have installed MS Reader.
Can You attach these .ttf files, please?
I got it.
And I give it to You.
Anyway, I use the original "Thorndale" (THOWB___.TTF, THOWBI__.TTF...).
This is the best looking, although I never used the Vista fonts I attached.

Do you can post the original "Thorndale" (THOWB___.TTF, THOWBI__.TTF...) here. I look for this font in internet and don't find.
Thank You
Here....
I like the old Nina font from the SPVs, and particularly my trimmed down version, VJNina. Nice and clear (can't remember if these screenshots show it properly).

Any way to fix wallpaper gradients??

It seems that any wallpaper with a gradient or any shading or glowing is displayed like in 8-bit style. What I mean by that is this.

Its really making alot of wallpapers look hideous and would like to know what I can do to make it look the way it should. Thanks in advance.
Seems like a little help and a little research does wonders these days.
Just so this can be used as a reference, i'm gonna go a little in dept here.

might try adding some noise to the pic. just a little bit. I used to have to do this on my touch pro 1+2 on some walls
let us know how they turn out
a quick google turned out this:Say Goodbye To Gradient Banding | Planet Photoshop
this looks promising too

These methods work in getting rid of the banding lines but what I figured out was to keep the quality, you need to do alot of tweaking and messing around. What I found out was adding a gaussian blur on a new layer thats slightly transparent and adding a little noise on a overlay layer thats slightly transparent is the trick.
This took me 2 mins to do. (Its 6:22am on fourth of July, I'll put up better examples later)
Before
After
What got me thinking was some of my camera pictures and other pictures in the gallery look stunning but anything I transfer via pc had horrible banding. Didnt make any sense at all. I'm no expert but adding a little blur and noise almost tricks the evo's screen.
great idea! thanks, now i can finally get some good wallpapers onto my evo.
How about sharing the exact settings you used? Or even better would be to post a PSD template that only requires people to paste their wallpaper (or possibly copy a layer style)
Download wallpaper set and save from the market. It fixes this problem.

9505g wallpaper out of box

I just got 2 new 9505G's for me and my wife. Out of the box they had a simple blue themed wallpaper that looks kind of cool. I unlocked the bootloader on my phone which of course reset the data and for some reason defaulted to one of the live wallpapers, while my wife's is still on the blue one I mentioned before.
I cannot for the life of me find the blue wallpaper as an option on either phone (even on the one where it is actually being used). Any ideas where this file is stored?

Okay great! I know how it feels to want something and not get it! Glad I could help. Found it on google.
I take it back, that is not the right image file. It appears similar but it is of a lower quality with weird rendering artifact bands across it. No offense to the guy who posted it, but if anybody else still has any ideas, I am all ears.
I found it by searching inside the stock images in the 9505G development forum.
It is buried inside framework-res.apk\res\drawable-xxhdpi\default_wallpaper.png. Seems pretty stupid they would make the default wallpaper something the user can't select again once he's changed it.
I put it online HERE.

[Q] Blurry Wi-Fi icon on stock ROM

Hi. I just want to ask, how to fix the blurred Wi-Fi icon in I9301? I know, it's a small detail, but it really bugs me. Also, the signal and battery icons aren't straight relative to each other. The battery icon is placed higher and it doesn't look very good. Here's a screenshot :

I tried to replace the wifi pngs from GS4's SystemUI to our device, but they're the same, the problem lies in the XMLs I think. I know that I already made a topic about that, but it seemed to have no attention at all and it was buried.

I tried to copy xml data from other ROMs that have this issues fixed. I tried with dimens.xml in values and signal_cluster_view.xml in layout but I don't see any changes. I will wait for more help.

[Q] Status bar icons color (How to change)

Hello, I want to change touchwiz kinda grey (ish) status bar icons to white, like CM's (not exactly CM's icons but the color). I've used flatstyle module but the notification icons from other apps and text remain grey. I've looked within SystemUI.apk but didn't find anything that leads me to that, are those .png files, any .xml file I need to dig?
I'm on Norma v15 Note 5 port for Note 3.
I attach images of my rom and CM's.
Thanks in advance.
Yeah, well welcome to the minority world. I mean most people don't even get bothered by a 'small' thing like this, but I don't understand how don't they, because the distinction between grey and white is more than noticeable, even for people with imperfect visions, and as status bar is a narrow and small spaced space, the more noticeable they are, the better. So best of luck for finding an answer to it.
I think it's not grey but a bit transparent. Maybe in color.xml in res/values. I used to adjust it but can't remember exactly.

Well, I've looked into it and changed every #fffafafa (which is the grey) to #ffffffff, but everything remains the same.
Hey buddy, yes, I'm a bit obsessed with that, couldn't use your systemui png files, spent a lot of time yesterday night trying to find the correct xml.
I will not rest until figure this out.
