I tried installing calibri ttf (the ones that comes with Vista) and found out that it is very well suited for my universal. I can go as small as I can and still very much readable. The font is also much nicer and cleaner to look at than the default font.
For curiosity's sake, what fonts are currently installed and used in your universal?

technically you shouldn't, etc etc, but any chance of ... a backup... of that font on this forum? how do you install fonts anyway?
I use Candara and Consolas from the new Vista fonts. They look very good on the Universal.
To install a font, copy it to \windows\fonts on the Universal, but beware, they can be large, and once installed, can be tricky to delete because they get locked by apps that use them...
Calibri is very similar to Frutiger Linotype which will already be on the system if you have installed MS Reader.
Can You attach these .ttf files, please?
I got it.
And I give it to You.
Anyway, I use the original "Thorndale" (THOWB___.TTF, THOWBI__.TTF...).
This is the best looking, although I never used the Vista fonts I attached.

Do you can post the original "Thorndale" (THOWB___.TTF, THOWBI__.TTF...) here. I look for this font in internet and don't find.
Thank You
Here....
I like the old Nina font from the SPVs, and particularly my trimmed down version, VJNina. Nice and clear (can't remember if these screenshots show it properly).

Nice proof of concept Albert
is there a way to change the keyboard to be Iphony ?
in other words, can we change the pressed button gfx to be a popup button thingy so it shows the letter pressed ?
Nice.. i like opal full keyboard "cleaner"
Is this cab all you need for this or do I need a separate file to install?

great work my friend, thank you for your share
This would match my new system font perfectly! Thanks, maybe I'll re-mod this keyboard...
can we expect a "cleaner" skin for the other two opal keyboards??? The full qwerty and the phone pad???
It's skinnable, but is it possible to make the landscape qwerty bigger? I really don't see how it's cleaner TBH. I like the original more. It looks more "cleartype-ish"
1) Is it possible to change date position? I would move it to the same bar of operator logo? (as the arrow indicates)

2) is it possible to change the colour of this 2 windows mobile bars? It would be great to make them transparent
3) can I change the default operator logo
with a much colored one like this one on this pic? (yes I know is an iphone screencap )
same here. i think the date looks better at the top left as it was on the diamond. unfortunately, i have no idea how to change this though.
You can change the clock using cabs that were made for the Diamond, not sure about any of the other things. Maybe it's possible to edit some of the manila files.

Where did you get the cab for the transparent clock?
you cannot make the wm bars tranasparant that i have seen. You can change their color my using a theme in WM (not to be confused with a theme in the TF3D app).
I've the same question's
now is it possible?
sorry for thread diggig, any solutions yet? i'm figuring how to move the date up
Changing Operator Logo.
Steps to change Operator Logo:
1.Find 256x64.png file in your windows folder and edit it with your own logo.
2.Replace the original file with the modified one (Use Resco File Explorer).
3.Restart.
Find the attached image, i changed my STARHUB logo to my name.
Would really like to know how to move the date too!! Its much better up the top!
Rich
Hi shamsul,
but I can't found that "256x64.png" file.......

A little icon set for TF3D. Includes 2 extra icons 'calendar' & '???' (I think it's for contacts ?) but I haven't managed to get those tabs to show on my diamond.
Icons aren't my own, just a set from stuff I've grabbed over the years. I just wanted to make a different icon set for my diamond & haven't yet had the time to make my own icons.
Anyway, I used Manila Editor 0.2 by sushilange & D-MAN666 to convert the icons. It's a great app, really clear & logical.
The files in the zip/rar either go direct into where your manila files are (don't forget to back up originals) or can be safely replaced (without losing originals) using Grump's excellent Manila Customizer.
just unzip/rar into program files/Manila Customizer/icons.
Hope you like them.
zip file is attached & there's also a rapidshare link :

Great icon set. i made it into a cab so its easier to install.
hope it helps!

Much appreciated. Thanks
Thanks! I'm a big fan of this icon set.... good work
These icons are great. Any chance you could make a set for the xboxmod HD manila tf3d? it would require a bunch of icons, but I think you would make a lot of people happy if you did. Thanks for these.

I don't mind trying, but I'll need the full icon set to know which ones I can replace.
If you could get them to me I'll give it a shot.
I'm looking for the theme files (preferably the extracted images) for this TF3D theme.

I plan to resize them and create a QVGA TF2D theme based on it. I tried looking quite a bit before, which is where I found that screenshot from... but I couldn't find anything useful. I should probably try looking for a ROM dump from the Tilt 2.

Here's a dumped ROM from the Pure. Any chance you can figure out a way to get the theme going for VGA also
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567663
Also, here's another thread discussing what others have done to "mimic" the theme.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541443
Mostly for me, I'd just like to have the proper flip clock rather than the transparent that others are using.

I found the EXT for the TF3D, unfortunately, it appears that the images are built into the application files themselves, so I don't have easy access to them. At least, I'm not smart enough to know how to get them out. If anyone reading this is, any help would be appreciated.
If I got the images, I don't think it would be too difficult to resize it for VGA, but unfortunately, it would have to be TouchFlo2D based since I don't have any experience with TF3D theming.

Hey, thanks so much for going to that effort to help me. I tried the fonts you attached and they aren't acting like fonts usually do for me, they seem quite pixelated when enlarged for some reason. Also, although they are very very close, I don't think they are an exact match of the font style I really appreciate your efforts! I haven't a clue how to identify the font :crying:
Well I found out what font it is, but unfortunately it seems you can't download it anywhere
Here it is: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/design/works/projects/sst-font/index.html
Well I took these from my /system/font folder. They seem to be good.
I think the bold is a little heavier in the original image, but it's almost perfect. Thank you so much!
You are welcome! If you go into your system/font folder you can copy the font you need from there. I took UltraLight and Light versions, but there are Regular and Medium versions as well, a little bolder if you need.
I wonder why Sony didn't use this SST font as default for their phones. For me it looks much nicer than Roboto.
Oh cool, thanks for the info. I connected the phone via airdroid and had a look in the system/fonts folder but all I can see is SST ultra light
Maybe the others disappeared after applying the latest OTA update as the clock was like in the original posts image before the update, and now it's just the same weight for hours and minutes and I think it might be ultra light. We're the regular and medium ones in your fonts folder when you looked?
There are some hidden fonts in that folder. I noticed now that some have a dot before the name, .SST-medium for example. That's probably why they don't show up. Anyway here are the Medium and Heavy from mine. Didn't find Regular.
Thank you thank you and thank you again
It looks like the combination is the one I've underlined in the attached image, which is medium on the left and ultra light on the right. I'm almost definite that's the right combo
Very much appreciate all the help you've given on this!
You're welcome.
