just recently had this problem with my Razr M, tried almost everything and was about to give up when BAM!! bright spark moment came to me, why not hold vol - vol + and pwr all at the same time when screen is off, next thing i know it asks me how i want to reboot, selected normal boot, and bingo! dont know if anyone else had this problem but did a quick search, couldnt find any other threads on it so i thought why not post one and help others out
Peace

I know I have Few or no posts at all... but I am quite experienced with Android OS... I wish i could have contributed more to this forum before asking for help on such an INTRICATE problem.. Anyways
The rundown is this, in the sequence in which the things occured... Today i set my phone down, (Droid X, Rooted, Running Apex 1.4.1) and it was working perfectly fine. I then pick it up, absolutely nothing had been done to it between me setting it down and picking it up, and the hard buttons (Menu, Home, Back, Search, Volume Rockers, Camera Button) all not working, only the lock button on top. So, I think like I always do, Battery pull time. I preform a pull, and turn the phone back on, then it's stuck on "M", just stays there. I pull again, stuck again, nothing, one more time and it goes to stock recovery mode just the Android and Exclamation triangle, (I have clockworkmod installed) but of course, no hardbuttons are working so it's false hope. I press buttons over and over out of frustration and I bring up the menu, but that's all i can do, and i have to hold the Volume rocker down, and search to even do that, but besides that i can do nothing more. So I'm stuck at what I see as a dead end, can't move through recovery because buttons aren't working for whatever reason, so i can't flash SBF, or stock reset... So I'm asking for help, please.

have you tried getting it into bootloader mode?
hold vol - + camera + search while powering the device on
if you can get into bootloader mode than you can flash an sbf file
If you tried everything you can think of and still can't get it to do anything take it back to verizon. If you can't get it to work I doubt most of the employees at verizon would be able to get it to work either
Did you try a long battery pull. 30 seconds or more?
Sent from my Droid
Pull the battery and then.plug the phone into.the wall charger. Then put the battery back in, and when the phone boots up it should boot to clockwork

Did this work?

Okay..... My son has this new tablet and I being the intelligent guy that I am decided to root it. ( no problems there) But the problem was finding a recovery that worked proper for the tablet. After hours of searching to no avail, I had decided on one (which after a week now of trolling threads and sites and stuff, I fail to recall) Well after that the screen has gone black and will not do anything. My PC is also not picking up the tablet. As I type this PDA net keeps flashing "Fail to connect, please reattach your phone along with that annoying ping (which is now muted)
Okay here is what I have tried-
I have tried to turn it on, turn it on with power and vol up, turn it on with power and vol down, turn it on with power and vol up and vol down ( which makes it have a constant vibrate) I have pressed the pin hole button next to the SD slot, I have tried four or five variations of holding the power button and volume and so on and so on.
I have the open source code image and kernel downloaded into my PC but have no clue where to go if anywhere from there. I have an android phone that ive rooted and have flashed many roms and such to in the past and am far from stupid but I am in a world of ish here and I really could use the help and the learning experience from it.. Thanks.

I also have same difficult with my a3000 i think its fully bricked (
Hi guys,
I have a problem with my LG. Yesterday i was casually lurkin some internet or whatever. Havent done anything suspicious or something. Then i switched phone off and put it for a while on the side. When I tried to unlock it after that it was impossible. Phone just doesnt respond. I havent rooted it or done anything connected with roms etc, not into this stuff really. When i plug it into charger red LED starts blinking, then LG logo appears, then battery icon and after that its just charging like normally and still red LED lights. Right now its fully charged so instead of red, the LED is green. The buttons combinations dont work neither (hold power, hold power and vol-) besides holding vol+ and power. I have to hold it for a while, then plug into charger and then some kinda download menu appears, but it does nothing too. Still cant start the phone. However few hours ago i just tried holding power for a bit and everything worked perfectly. Then i locked the screen and *bam* bricked again. I know there are many topics like that but i havent found the exact same problem with solution yet. Every help would be highly appreciated. :good::good:
BUMP please any advice. It actually Turner on one more time, but when i tried using power button, at first it didnt respond, then after few seconds it went bricked back. I managed to take off the backcover so maybe there is sth i can do?
I could be wrong but sounds more software related then hardware to me, maybe try to use one of that flash tools or pc suite to do a clean flash and sadly lose all your data.
If that doesn't help idk....
You don't have a backup do you?
No, unfortunately i dont. I didnt expect that to happen.
Yo so I actually managed to turn it on (i ve no idea how) and its working fine. Im scared to press the power button so it will be unlocked all the time. Ive already done the general backup of photos, music etc, but if there is some good app to make solid backup or something please let me know.
Soo is there any other option to find out if it is finally repaired than pressing power button? I can access data on PC so maybe theres the way to fix it now? If i press the button probably it will brick again, and then after couple of days it will suddenly start working, so id rather dont do this..
I think thats what someone on another forum called it, they said to head over here beacause you guys know alot more. My Phone won't get past the "Samsung Galaxy S8 - Powered by Android screen"
I've tried the usual. Down and power key, Up Bixby and power. They either do nothing or keep bringing me back to that screen. I also didnt have Samsung Switch installed to try that way either.
If anyone has any idea I'd really appreciate it and hopefull ive posted in the right section of the forum.
Could you try pressing volume down+power button for aprox. 7 seconds (till the screen goes black), the phone should reboot now. (This next step can be kinda tricky, but you can just try over and over until you do it.) While the screen is still black, press either volume down+bixby+power button or volume up+bixby+power button. This should either boot you into recovery or download mode. Let us know if you can make it to this point
At work ATM, but yeah I will give this a go later when I get back, thanks for the quick reply!

any luck ?
hello apologies if this is the wrong area, after some advice regarding my old s7 edge.
not used it for 18mth, i seem to recall i flashed a rom onto it but not sure which one, anyway tonight found it and tried to turn it on, it briefly powers up the display is like a static tv screen and it says along the top "kernel is not seandorid enforcing" and it has now gone to a black screen i do not know if the phone is off or on, tried to reset using home power vol up/down buttons but i get nothing. i put the phone on charge for 30 minutes nothing seems to indicate if it is charging or not except the chargers power light stays on.
anyone any ideas if i will be able to recover the phone or is it now a paper weight?
i am going to guess the phone is at this moment dry of charge except for the last 30 minutes and it still seems dead.
thanks
Try booting into download mode with vol -, home, power. If you still dont see anything, wait a few seconds then press vol + like usual and check if it's recognised by odin. If it is, reinstall the full stock firmware.
Also consider that if it doesnt boot into download or recovery at all, the home button might be broken. Theres no way to tell without a working system and the combinations without home just force reboot your phone.
Ps Questions usually go in the Q&A section for your device, dont get confused if this thread is moved to
