I have to use an iPhone during the holidays so I disconnected my watch from my Android phone and now it shows this little cloud in the middle of the watch face, telling me it is disconnected. Is there any way to turn this little notification cloud thingy off, because it really bothers me and ruins the watchface I have set up?

You can, but it won't work if there is an iPhone nearby

Yeah, I am not sure you really understood what I was asking... Regardless of the iPhone, if the watch is disconnected from the phone it shows this cloud in the middle of the display and it gets in my way of seeing the time.
Sorry if this was meant as a joke, but I actually really need an answer for this. Thanks anyway!
Nope, I don't think that's possible, but you can change the symbols position on some watchfaces (look at watchmaker or pujie).
I'd like to disable the symbols too...
bump! I would like some help on this too

I can't believe that even on my beautiful sleek Nexus One, I can't view embedded email pictures. Does anyone know why this is? And if not maybe some one knows how to fix it? This is actually ridiculous if you ask me, its the Gmail app that has been made by Google for a Google operating system on a Google phone but it can't display embedded email pictures? Whats going on here?
It works fine for me... Did you push the "Show Pictures" button near the top of the email?
Sometimes they show up for me. Usually they don't though and I always press 'show pictures'. I love the phone bit its the least of my issues: I can't send mms to any phone bit android, I get 'uportal error' on a common site that the iPhone 3g and 3gs access no problem, and I often get a quarter of an inch of orange load bar when clicking a link in the browser which sometimes is only remedied by a phone reset. I have loved all 3 of my android phones though and Its google we're talking about. They are all about te internet and I trust they are diligently working to improve te average, albeit fast browser experience.
I just read my post and good God this keyboards tough to type on.

I have pressed show picture, all i get is a question mark in a little blue box and i can see the frame of the picture that is spoused to be there. I know im not the only person people. Don't make me feel like im the only one here..
Currently, the gmail app does not support embedded pictures in emails. When you see pictures it's because the person attached the picture to the email. The only way to see embedded pictures in an e-mail on your phone is to log into gmail through the browser. This has been like this since 1.5 and has been submitted to google numerous of times. Hopefully they will fix this problem.

Embedded pictures is working just fine in the Gmail app, had some ad-spam from Direct2Drive, Apple, Impulse etc in my inbox just now and they all had embedded pictures. Clicked show pictures and it worked like a charm, this was also over 3g network.
As far as I know I can't take screenshots with an un-rooted phone, so I've attached a picture.

You can use the Android sdk to take pictures of the phone:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Make sure USB debugging is on, plug in phone to PC
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools -> ddms.bat
Not sure what you guys are talking about. Embedded pictures work absolutely flawlessly on my phone
Ah of course via the SDK. Been developing for Android for some time, but I've only been using the emulator since I've been too lazy to actually hook up my phone

do you have astro file manager installed? there is an option in this app that allows you to download otherwise un-downloadable files through the stock browser that makes pictures in email not work (according to the setting in the app itself)
Hi,
I just got a T-mobile S7 edge and love the phone. I was playing with the DLNA option called Smart View. Picked it from the the Gallery and it opened a new window for me to select where to stream the picture. Came up with 4 of my devices in the house. I picked one. Unfortunately, not the right one. However, I cant seem to find a way to change that setting. Everytime I go to a picture and click on Smart View, it auto selects the earlier selection of device. Any ideas where I can change this setting for Smart view?
Thanks

When you open smart view again, it isn't showing the rest of your available devices? It should scan again and you should see the other devices connected.

It does for 1/2 a millisecond and then autoselects the one I picked earlier. I even tried going through apps to see if I can remove data on something so this default will vanish but so far, can't seem to find the right app for this.

You might want to remove your default device from the network for a moment and see if it allows you to choose another then reconnect the first device.

Smart thinking Semantics, I was actually able to catch that 1/2 millisecond window and hit cancel on it. All good now.

Glad you got it sorted out.
Really satisfied with the phone so far, but s voice keeps going on my nerves. Almost everytime it like instantly goes to the I didn't understand you, please repeat error message, without letting me even pronounce the first word. For example, new appointment tomorrow 8 o clock bring a book, it will cut me off halfway through the word appointment already. Is it too sensitive, does it think ambient sounds is speech input? Any way to calibrate that? It's pretty useless and takes me like ten tries to set a new appointment with s Voice, so I mostly use s planner and just type the stuff in, is way easier. Any idea?

Same problem here. Not recognizing contacts, working very very slow,...
In other words not workable and usable.
Why aren't you simply using Google now instead?

Sure. No problem. But my partner has an new Samsung A3-2016 and s-voice is working perfectly on this device. You can always use google now but on a cellphone that costs 800€ it should work perfectly.

sorry, no solution. I flashed another ROM (German BTU) to see. Same problem. I have no clue what causes this malfunction.
Anybody ??
From what I see It is a software problem. So if Samsung doesn't fix it, you have to keep it as it is.

I am using NoLED from the play store. It works OK, but not all the features seem to work on the Force. Still I like it better than not having an LED or breathing notifications.
What is "breath notification?" I've never heard that term before.

On the previous Moto devices with Moto Display, the notifications would "pulse." Meaning until you dismissed the notification, every few seconds, the screen would fade in and out...It was actually a great feature...They probably dumped it to save a little bit of battery life...

Go into your Moto app. Third option should be "Display". Toggle it on. You can block specific apps from displaying by selecting "Block Apps", as I believe all apps will show by default.
After trying dozens of apps I think I found something that can work. There are several 3rd party lock screens that offer breath notifications but you end up losing the finger print reader function which was a big selling point to me. NoLed worked but you either need to shut off your lock screen or basically have two lockscreens which is kinda a pain.
So I thought maybe I just need to have the phone remind me I have a notification. I scoured the Google play store and came across an application called Recurrent Notification Manager which in my first days use seems to work. You basically tell Recurrent Notification Manager what app to monitor set the time you want the app to be refreshed and it's good to go. Best thing is you can still keep the fingerprint reader and the moto display on with the cool hand wavy thing.
It is a free app but if you want it to monitor more then one app with you have to pay $1.70. Also this app is a bit rough around the edges it's only got a 3.0 rating in the Google play store but everything seems to be working fine on my end.

In my experience, notifications will breathe until dismissed. Motos running Marshmallow handled these notifications differently than Nougat-based Moto's now do, but it's the same in principle.

Verizon updated the Z force to 7.0 and although it says in the moto app that the screen is supposed to flash in and out when you get notifications it just flashes once.

I was able to get NoLED to work. However, when you have a notification on the blank (or maybe lock) screen you have to dismiss it by touching the home button. Once I do that I touch the fingerprint scanner and the phone unlocks. It is an extra touch, but not too bad. I will check out the app you reference above as well.

Unfortunately, I no longer own this phone. I posted this nearly two years ago.
I'm using the LG Style and would like the watch to switch to DND when it's being charged, switching it back to allow notifications when removed from the charger.
Have I missed a setting or is there an IFFT rule I can apply?
I can't be the only user who doesn't understand why my watch buzzing on the desk -- far from my arm is supposed to be in any way useful.

Thanks but I know of that app -- I have zero desire to link the phone and watch DND (I'm one of the few people who think they made the right call in separating the two).
I want my phone to stay completely silent 100% of the time. The watch I want to notify of messages/calls ONLY when on my wrist.
