I have stock ROM and stock kernel . When i tried bcmon for my mobile it doesn't work.Every time i open the app it asks if it installs firmware and tools and i click yes then it force close after about 5 seconds. in the app thread i found it crashes when the wifi chipset is not supported (supported ones are bcm4329 and bcm4330 and i think sgy is supported as it has bcm4330 wifi chipset so i don't know why it is crashing i searched the hall thread for something about sgy and i didn't find anything i also searched issues in their google code page and didn't find anything that helps.
where is the problem? Does some kernels or ROMs only support bcmon and monitor mode? How can i get it work?

As far as I'm aware the galaxy y doesn't support wifi monitor mode

but why? it has a 4330 wifi chipest so it should support monitor mode according to bcmon and reaver apps devolopers.
is it a specific thing that is absent in the mobile hardware?
or is it about the kernel or the ROM?

Wow! News to me. Thought it was only possible on froyo too.
I read through the comments on that site from the link you posted. They say that it only works on HTC devices although someone
claimed it worked on their Samsung Moment. Anyway, I dont think it works for our device. Im going to give it a shot though.

It's good news to find out that its possible to run flash 10.1 on eclair. Bad news to find out it doesn't work on the gt540.
Once i search on the samsung galaxy s spica forum and found out the same thing, but to get it running you had to change some settings in the browser.

Did the guys in the galaxy s spica forum talk about what settings in particular needed changing in the browser?
It was in the samsung i5700 section (i'll try to find the info). If im not mistaken they had to change some settings in the browser, but it would slow the browser. Like I said, i'll search and find that info again.
Flash 10.1 requires ARMv7 CPU. So it'll never work unless a binary is compiled for ARMv6.

even I tried to download apk and install it gives me package paste error
is it meaning the app only runs on Android 4.1? it wont work on 4.0 or below?
It will work once the Q is available for shipping. I contacted Google about it. They said there were still some bugs being worked out but it will be available at launch.

Yes you need 4.1 unless check development forum and see how to change the Q .apk file to work on ICS

I have seen several people say that you need to be running JB to get the Q to work. In the devices manual it says that you need a device running at least GB. Did I miss something here? No way Google is going to release this device to the masses when it's only compatible OS is not even released yet.
I am guessing that at launch Google will update youtube and Play Music to be compatible.

There is a Google support page for the Nexus Q (can't find it right now) that says the current applications only work on JB and the backwards compatible application will be available when they start shipping. I had a build of cm7 taken from madteam (whitexp"s thread) combined with his kernel from here at xda. after flashing the rom and kernel i flashed Fp1-tweak.zip from nagedhra's thread. after reboot, i tested wifi and portable tethering. wifi turns on but not scanning and for about 20 second it shows error. for portable tethering, it shows active, windows can connect (open mode only) but cannot browes. so, sorry for making this thread but i really like cm7 for young.
i combined the three files in one flashable via CWM. zip file available at MEDIAFIRE
i will be glad to test every files that you may suggest to be replaced, added or deducted from the rom. thanks in advance.

My 3 fixes worked exactly the same way.
One tester reported wifi to be on for minutes but not scanning. :/

I think it would be MUCH better easier to only show up the non compatible and partially compatible apps. Because The list for Compatible is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEE lool most of the apps between the I9300 and I9305 are actually compatible
As an audiophile I always try different apps to enhance my listening experience and the best mod I have found so far is mega bass beats mod from nexus forum. As long you phone is rooted and have custom recovery then yes it should work. I have a stock rooted non-deodexed EE rom and it works flawlessly. Let me know if you need help getting it up and running

ive been looking hours for it, but couldnt found any solution..

RIL stands for Radio Interface Layer , did you try the basics?
Different modem
Different kernel
Switch to WCDMA only see if it goes better
Switch to GSM only see if it helps

I use Omega's kernel , is good is almost stock , you could also use Samsung kernel and Maxfour kernel
