Hi guys,
I'v got exynos version of note 4 and the battery life is awful. 3 to 4 hours of screen on is the highest score it can reach. Do you think if I change it to snapdragon it would be better ?
Exynos note 4. 3rd day with the phone. Stock ROM. WiFi on sync on.

You'll need to root, install a ROM and Ultimate Kernel v9. It'll improve it a lot.
For the record there's no difference between the SD and Exynos re battery life.

Hi Guys I am noobs here, still I hope you could help.
I have had my N4 for about 3 months now and I have had the same problem since day 1... If you play games that battery life is less than 2 hours. How is this possible?
Is it due to me having process like Skype in the background?
I see that my screen is taking about 70% of the battery life which to me is insane?!
Site note is I got the 8GB version and finally found out that the andriod system is taking up about half my memory.
Waiting to hear from you guys.
Cheers Patrik
Skype is a known battery hog unfortunately but not your main cause.
You need a custom kernel that will let you do things like...
down clock cpu and gpu
undervolt cpu
set max cores, so you can just run for example 2 cores
..it's surprising how much you can turn things down and still have plenty of power for most games
oh yeah keep screen brightness down and try not to run 3g
The higher percentage the screen uses of your battery the better . 70% is normal.

Yeah what the question title says ..
Also I would like to know for everyone that has a Nexus 4, how long does your battery last when using it constantly with brightness on & off, without battery savers or anything, just the average of how long your battery last
Definitely S3. When I bought S3 I had about 2 days activity and about of 5-6h screen. In N4 I also have 2 days activity, but about 4h of screen. Same using.
I have my N4 with franco's, greenify and lux. Around 3-4hs of SOT.
I would say my Nexus 4 lasts longer than the S3. I had the S3 for about 2 months and I didn't like it. I get one hour less on screen time than on my Nexus 4.

S3 imho
It's pretty subjective when you consider two things.
S3 has a removable battery and can be extended with something like a 7000mAh one, the N4 does not
S3 has a dual-core 1.5ghz Krait processor vs Nexus 4's quad-core 1.5ghz processor which will consume more power*
*(S3 is dual core for north american and Japanese models, I9300/International is quad core 1.4ghz A9, the international version has 1GB ram versus the 2GB in the other models)
Just looking at that comparison, especially to the US/Jpn model of the S3, you can pretty much assume the S3 is going to be capable of running longer on battery. Just not sure why they didn't put 2GB ram on their quad-core phone, the combination of both would have been nicer, but there's so many variants of the S3 it's probably why Samsung doesn't even list processor specs on their site officially.

What do you mean by "Screen" ? Screen time? Cause I'm talking about constantly using it
I feel like they're roughly the same. Probably give or take 30 minutes screen on time

In order to squeeze even more juice out of the note 3 battery I have recently installed CPU Tuner after rooting. Has anyone starting using this app with their note 3 and what is best settings for best performance/battery life balance?

Snap Dragon is the name of a cpu company and it works as a battery saver which have that cpu. The I9500 has exynos processor and I9505 has snap Dragon. If u wanna use a battery saving app try juice defender. It's awesome for me and better than most battery savour.

Most of these apps just manage wifi/mobile data and claim to improve battery life, well , i hardly have those on, i mostly use my phone for normal things, like calling or playing games or listening to music when out ..
In my experience, especially on 4G LTE, Samsung standby is rather poor. How would you say the Exynos S8 does?
4g and wifi 247 facebook YouTube xda duos calls browsing the lot. pretty happy tbh. this is exynos model and its great

First 2 days mine was poor. But that was because I used smart switch to get everything from my S6. Then I realised battery drained fast. So I hard reset the phone again and installed all over. Just copied the video's and pics afterwards. Now the battery life is great. I don't know the screen on time because I keep the battery between 30% and 80%. But still I start use it at 80% and at the end of the day it is around 30%.

What theme is that?
I just got 43 hours total and 6.5 hours of SOT.
Best power efficiency I've ever seen in a phone.
Also read something online that the battery should retain about 95% of charge after a year of use. Hopefully this holds up!!!
8+ theme is mat black
Up.
How does the battery life of the S8 Exynos compare to the S7 Exynos , I plan to upgrade soon, just wanted to know if it worsened or anything due to the bigger display
Thanks!

Sweet! How about standby time? Overnight possibly with Wifi off?
Thanks!
Standby time never was a big quality on Android in general and Samsung in particular. iOS does a much better job in that chapter.
