I'm wanting to restore a factory image but can't get the phone to go into anything but boot-loop.
Before I replaced the broken screen the phone booted fine.
Trying this, but won't work.
Press and hold Volume Down, and then press and hold Power simultaneously until the device turns on.*You will see the word Start with an arrow drawn around it.

[Q] Dropped phone, screen and touchscreen broken

Hi guys,
I accidentally dropped my phone on the floor.
This wasn't the first time I dropped but this time it's really broken.
The screen is broken and the touch screen isn't working anymore (looks like only 20% of the top part is working, rest of the screen not).

Is there any way how to control it from my pc now? It's rooted etc.
I'd like to make a backup for whatsapp and other apps.
Second thing, should I try to replace the screen and touch screen?
Thanks,
Niek

If the power and volume buttons still work you can use fastboot and adb.

Yeah I know I could use ADB.
But I thought that it's maybe possible to control it on your pc via an interface or something. So that you actually see your phone's screen on your pc screen.
There's an app called airdroid but i don't know how you can launch it without a touchscreen.

[Q] LG E900 camera button malfunction

Hey you!
About a month ago my LG Optimus 7 started taking pictures without me pressing the camera button (It would open the application by itself).
Then, one day, I was unable to quit the camera application and it was taking pictures non-stop. I was panicked and decided to take the battery out to turn the phone off as soon as possible. When I tried to turn the phone on, the Windows Phone emergency download screen popped up and I found out that I was screwed: my camera button malfunctioned and invoked the emergency download state.
So I've searched the interwebs without luck and decided to open it up. When I finally got it open I saw a black spot on the wires going to the camera button. It looked like it might has been short circuited or has been overcurrented.
Anyways, I'm not that great with hardware and I decided to cut the camera button module off with my toenail scissors. After reassembling the phone it would not show the emegency download screen but would already reboot at the LG logo. :crying:
Does anyone know how to fix this? Should I put a bit of solder tin on the end of the wires of the camera button?
After looking in the LG E900 Optimus 7 service manual.pdf I found this:

And a close up of the camera button itself:
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance!

i did it first.
I think the problem is somewhere else.
The computer also has a problem with detecting the device. Only after a reset the phone start detecting.
i think it's a hardware problem.
our 9t was also for repairs (display error) and the mainboard was replaced there.
if the problem with miui is there, i would hire xiaomi support. my repair was quick and uncomplicated!

I think my phone got a virus? Very weird bootloop/stuck bootloader

My ZE553KL (I use it as a home device control, small tablet) keep loading/reloading for 3 hours now. I CANNOT SHUT IT DOWN. everytime I have this vibrate boot, ITS SUPER ANNOYING.
It show the bootloader then reboot, then show the bootloader and so on. Buttons are unresponsive.
Only think I can do is press up and get to screen number 2 for exactly 6 second (my computer then recognize it).
I cannot remove battery (hello soldered battery). or shut it down, I guess at some point It will drain battery but.
I have no idea what is happening, please help?

Ouch
Play with it. Proper button sequence and timing is everything. It's easy to not hit the right button at the exact moment. Allowing the battery to auto shutdown may break the cycle. Don't attempt to solder the battery without a good iron and skillset. You need to be fast about it.
If the OS is pre Pie it's suspectable to rootkits that require a reflash to erraticate.
A hardware failure is also possible.
A bad coded 3rd party apk can also boot loop you. That's worse than a normal boot loop though.
It's definitely corrupted... hopefully someone here who has seen this before and/or knows more about that line of phones advanced troubleshooting can help you.

Black screen and (adb mode ?) bricked

Hi,
I changed the battery and now mi Mi9T doesn't want to switch on !
Just vibration, and I post you the screenshot of the device manager when I plug it.
The USB debug was authorized, and the phone is rooted, if it can be used.
Thanks a lot, I really wouldn't lose my data !

I forgot : I made cross tests with another Mi9T, motherboards have been changed, and my screen and battery are ok with the other motherboard.
Then the problem is on my motherboard.
Nobody knows ?
You probably damaged motherboard during change or shorted it. It's not possbile to tell what you did exactly through forum
So, I changed the motherboard by new, 3 switches on ok, then same problem at final remounting : vibration and black screen !
Then 2 options I think :
- I make a shorting at remount, but I don't know how, and I broke the 2 motherboards
- Something happens and put the phone in alternative mode, and I don't know how and how exit
Or your screen flex has bend pin. Check for damage at connections
I have already replaced the screen flex cable, it fixes nothing unfortunatly.
I tried with usb-c hub and a hdmi link to the tv, the hub activity light is on but no signal on tv.
It means the phone switch on correctly but the video signal can't run to the phone screen or the tv screen.
Change motherboard, it looks like something is damaged that controls screen. It will be hard to diagnose
Aliexpress accepted the motherboard almost full refund without return.
I'd want to re-order a new one, but the same issue could be happen and I can't know when and how !!
