[Q] LG E900 camera button malfunction - Optimus 7 General

Hey you!
About a month ago my LG Optimus 7 started taking pictures without me pressing the camera button (It would open the application by itself).
Then, one day, I was unable to quit the camera application and it was taking pictures non-stop. I was panicked and decided to take the battery out to turn the phone off as soon as possible. When I tried to turn the phone on, the Windows Phone emergency download screen popped up and I found out that I was screwed: my camera button malfunctioned and invoked the emergency download state.
So I've searched the interwebs without luck and decided to open it up. When I finally got it open I saw a black spot on the wires going to the camera button. It looked like it might has been short circuited or has been overcurrented.
Anyways, I'm not that great with hardware and I decided to cut the camera button module off with my toenail scissors. After reassembling the phone it would not show the emegency download screen but would already reboot at the LG logo. :crying:
Does anyone know how to fix this? Should I put a bit of solder tin on the end of the wires of the camera button?
After looking in the LG E900 Optimus 7 service manual.pdf I found this:

And a close up of the camera button itself:
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance!

Help! Something wrong when I boot up my phone!

Guys,
I like to check with you all whether any solution for the below problem :
Every time I boot up my phone, it will display the messaging menu on the background and I cannot view the HTC Sense main screen till I press any button.
Please see below photo of the problem :

Mine does exactly the same thing.
mine does the same thing too, it seems to be that messaging tries to open up on top of it, if you see on your screenshot, it says messaging at the top instead of start. Seems to be an issue with windows mobile i think as i had the same thing happen on my touch pro with a custom rom. it happens to me when i use the phone too, for example if i'm watching a video in full screen that messaging thing appears over it and exits full screen playback, doesnt happen all the time but enough to become annoying
Try booting the phone without the memory card inserted. Maybe it's corrupt.
I get this too. Tried searching for a fix but couldn't find one so good to see a thread started here about it.
Touching the screen will also take you to the main screen.
Weird. I get the "Launching HTC Sense" sometimes, but never the Messaging thing instead of Start.
It only happens on mine if the phone has been switched off for a while, for example over night, if I just switch the phone off and back on again it goes straight to the main screen.

[Q] Stuck in boot loop, can't access recovery.

I recently repaired a broken digitizer and screen on my Nexus 4, now it is stuck on the colored Google logo forever.
have all the proper drivers installed on windows 8.1. The device is recognized in device manager.

I'm wanting to restore a factory image but can't get the phone to go into anything but boot-loop.
Before I replaced the broken screen the phone booted fine.
Trying this, but won't work.
Press and hold Volume Down, and then press and hold Power simultaneously until the device turns on.*You will see the word Start with an arrow drawn around it.

When Jerry rig was doing strip downs he did mention the volume buttons pop out , so a tight case with irregular shaped button cutouts would have caused this.

Hi limey, I'm also facing the same issue...both of my s10+ volume and Bixby buttons come out and damaged even position of the buttons are not straight . Tomorrow I'm going to visit Samsung service centre.

Main Camera Problem - Black and White vertical lines

Hello to you all!
After I've searched a bit in this forum, I couldn't find someone with the same problem.
Issue: When entering in main camera, vertical white/black lines appear, no other image is present. (wide and selfie work as expected)
See attached files.

Cause: I filmed a terrible rain with the phone (which was supposed to be waterproof and mil-std-810g compatible), but the next day, the main camera lens, not both back lenses, was steamy, a couple of hours lates, I could only see the previously attached files when opening the camera.
Workarounds tried:
1. Reset to factory settings (no viable result)
2. Reset to factory settings via power menu (Power Button + Vol button), nothing good happened
3. Tried other camera applications --> usually the applications crash when opening them
4. Did some tests via the secret menu, but the results are inconclusive
a. when not moving the phone, all the things pass
b. when moving the phone, some fail, some pass
I was thinking to install another image (the phone is with the original software)
Other things to mentioned: the phone has never been opened, it has sustained other rains and water dives (not salty).
Please advise!
Thank you!
Try replacing the camera module, ebay has them for under 15€
Oh, replying now, it was the camera module, it got wet and didn't worked after. Great phone though.

I think my phone got a virus? Very weird bootloop/stuck bootloader

My ZE553KL (I use it as a home device control, small tablet) keep loading/reloading for 3 hours now. I CANNOT SHUT IT DOWN. everytime I have this vibrate boot, ITS SUPER ANNOYING.
It show the bootloader then reboot, then show the bootloader and so on. Buttons are unresponsive.
Only think I can do is press up and get to screen number 2 for exactly 6 second (my computer then recognize it).
I cannot remove battery (hello soldered battery). or shut it down, I guess at some point It will drain battery but.
I have no idea what is happening, please help?

Ouch
Play with it. Proper button sequence and timing is everything. It's easy to not hit the right button at the exact moment. Allowing the battery to auto shutdown may break the cycle. Don't attempt to solder the battery without a good iron and skillset. You need to be fast about it.
If the OS is pre Pie it's suspectable to rootkits that require a reflash to erraticate.
A hardware failure is also possible.
A bad coded 3rd party apk can also boot loop you. That's worse than a normal boot loop though.
It's definitely corrupted... hopefully someone here who has seen this before and/or knows more about that line of phones advanced troubleshooting can help you.
