Is this for the note 4 if so do you have a link of where you purchased it.. ?
---------- Post added at 07:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:28 AM ----------
I found it on Amazon but it's unavailable right now http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q7C6FTA

It doesn't even have a review. The 1 review left was for a Note 2 it looks like.

I'd almost want to buy one, but I hate that they didn't bother to put a hole for the speaker. I watch a ton of stuff on my my phone and listen to a lot of music; too much to have no speaker hole. :/

why would people make their phone this huge lol..

This has got to only be useful for those going on massively long trips with no power to charge the phone with. I could see this being used for mountain climbing Mt. Everest so you can play movies while waiting for the 3 week long blizzard to end.

Not only, though. Think charging your phone once a week.

That screen time is absolutely insane! Too bad it looks like a mini brick haha

I had the same thing for my note 3, was great for when I was in Disney taken pictures and wifi... But that big bulky case sucks! Like having a brick in your pocket

This is awesome for heavy users like me that can't put our note 4 down and on them 24/7... I pre ordered it of Amazon I'm not sure if they still have some available... The bulk of the phone is a small price to pay for 16 plus hours of screen time...

The battery itself has a cut out that re routes the sound to the bottom of the phone which is nice...

I had this for my note 3. The battery life fell off a cliff after 4 months of use and customer service refused to acknowledge their use of poor quality cells. Not worth the size or price. For the money, I bought 3 spare batteries plus charger and official Samsung case for less than the price of this POS. Never again will I buy from ZeroLemon. I got a lemon from ZeroLemon! ROFL.

There is a channel in the battery that directs the sound to the bottom of phone (like the Tab tablets). ..sound is better with case on than when off.

I highly doubt it sounds better with something covering the speaker than not. That makes no sense. But maybe the speaker is to loud for some.

I'd rather charge my phone once a day at night when i'm not using it anyways than have a brick for a phone. I'd rather not look like the worlds biggest nerd.

Found an Amazon link. Not available yet, though. I wonder how this fares with drops, though. But hey, if this product from ZeroLemon turns out to be A LEMON, like someone else indicated (for the record, I take no credit for that "joke"), I won't be buying it. Besides, I still love my UAG case.

Not sure if they usually make "lemons" but I bought the tempered glass screen protector from them and I will say, I was expecting better.

I honestly can't comprehend why almost anyone would want/need this. I recently spent 2 months backpacking Europe and Africa too. On the average day I would kill my Note 3's battery and slap in a backup after dinner. While sleeping, my Note 3 was stored in a locker, while the dead battery was charging at a wall outlet. On a long travel day, aka train or plane, I might kill the battery earlier. Sometime in the evening I would simply plug my phone into the wall to help charge the 2nd battery, and then overnight charge the battery I killed earlier that day.
My only thought would be someone on a week long hike. However, serious hikers always take light weight items. They wouldn't lug around a 1990 Zack Morris sized cell phone.

If you are on your phone so much that you need a car battery attached to it, you have bigger problems... like not having friends, a girl friend, a social life, etc...
If you are on a long trip, it's easier to just bring a recharge pack or spare battery...

Especially this ^^ Don't wear your phone on your belt and attempt to find a girlfriend. This will reduce the need to play video games on your phone and lookup useless information that keeps you from interacting with other humans. Set a goal of touching a boob next year. Its worth it.

[Q] Changing the battery for Acer A500

Batteries performance degrade overtime so are we able to change A500 battery if it is degraded or can we even upgrade it with a higher capcity in order to achive better performance?
Is their a tutorial for such procedure?
UPDATE: I would like to thank bvdrax for his help we are one stop closer to understanding our tablets

I was thinking about that this past weekend. That's one of the few things that I would like, that it currently doesn't have (a user replaceable battery). Although, I would imagine that we could find a battery that would work with it and replace it, if we didn't mind opening it up and voiding the warranty!

Of course the battery may be soldered in, at which point even if getting the case apart without an issue is easy enough a soldering job would be needed. I would guess the warranty would be long since over by the time our batteries start going.

google openiong iconia or something like that
There is a walk thru I Sen a week or so ago on replacing battery and so on. I think this device snaps together at the seems at top and bottom. Ibhave notices the button of mine is a bit wider crack then the top. So I do think this makes sense.
By the time my A500's battery dies enough for me to care, I fully expect to have replaced the tablet itself. My Droid's 2yo battery hilds up fine still under much harder use (including hotter processor and case temps from overclocking and from living in a car mount.)
There is a post on androidtablets.net that shows the tablet partly dissembled. I can't post the link because I don't have 8 posts.
I pulled the battery out of mine just now. It is not soldered in. The case came apart very easily using a pampered chef plastic orange peeler, and just easing it into the seam and following it around.

The back of my box said 3260mAh x 2 ( 24.1 Wh ) ... is there 2 batteries ??
you mind taking pictures showing the steps of dissecting this baby ??
BTW ... that attached pic is way too small to see anything ( at least I saw the plug...that's a good thing )
Once I find the good camera I will take some better pics of how to tear it apart.
Try the link below for a better pic.
I am pretty sure this little plastic job has 2 batteries in it, as it looks to be segmented into two compartments. Also, the leads seam to indicate two batteries.

^ 2 cells, not 2 batteries. A battery is merely the word for a collection of cells.
Here is a quick video of me cracking my A500 apart. Also, I have some better pictures of the inside with and without the battery and the battery itself.

Thank you in behalf of all the Acer Iconia owners who are curious to see how we can crack this one open. You are one brave individual for trying and succeeding and making it possible for us to see how easy it is to do so. More reason to love the Iconia, replaceable battery!
Let us know if you find a Mini PCI-E slot while you're digging in there.
thanks BVDRAX! Great job man!
The average Li-on battery carries a ~3 year useful life. More likely than not, three years from now most of us will have a different tab and you'll still be able to use yours over a/c.

If you look at the 3rd link (or second link in the stills) there is a spot for a standard mini pci-e card, however there is no socket installed and looks like there is a number of electronic compnents missing which are associated with it
You are a brave soul. Thanks for risking your warranty to show us how to do this!

Hyperion 4000 mah Mini review!

Hey everyone,
i've been rocking this.
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Sams...ywords=hyperion+samsung+galaxy+s+III+4000+mah
for about 4-5 days now.. ordered it off Amazon for a STUPID cheap price.. and i must say.. wow. 5/5
I normally like Mugen better, and i'm going to get a mugen battery whenever they make one..but this a GREAT replacement for the time being..
i have a PEBBLE BLUE T-Mobile galaxy S III as well.. and the White back actually looks really nice MIXED with the blue!
Also i love the FEEL of the back.. i actually like it better then the Stock GS3 itself.. it adds more weight and SOLID feel to the overall product and i LOVE IT! it's better then a stock GS3 by far.. actually feels like it's own new phone.
The battery life? definitely top notch.. i get by 3 days sometimes with heavy usage, texts, FB.. Sync turned on GPS.. all of it.
Highly recommend this... :good::good:
.......me want...IF there was a case, take some pics please? C:

Also you want battery stats? should i wait until it's drained all the way down?
The back battery cover is DEFINITELY stronger then the stock SGS3 back.
How long does it take to charge with the stock charger?

The only problem with carrying it as a spare is you also need to carry the battery cover. But if you were to order two of them..... use one as your main battery and carry the second one as a spare and you don't need to carry an extra battery cover.
BTW, anyone know how it might compare to this one? It looks pretty much the same but comes with a charger. http://www.amazon.com/4300mAh-Exten...external/dp/B008ARDVM4/ref=pd_bxgy_cps_text_b

I ordered this as well and after a 1 foot fall off my bed onto carpet the rigid plastic battery cover broke a corner off. IMO the back is not as good quality as may be advertised here. YMMV. I'm using the stock battery and an otterbox now for the protection.

Well i can't vouch for dropping it.
in all the years of owning a smartphone every single iphone model, several android models i've never done any brutal drops to my phones. ever
**the other thing is... it's 15$.. i mean crap.. you can't even beat that as a BACK replacement.. take the battery out of the equation most BACKS would probably cost 20$ if found in the mall..
So 15$ its a steal. buy 2 if you need to.

Nexus 4 battery bursting?

Has anyone had this problem before? I left my phone on the desk at work for 5 minutes and come back to my Nexus back glass shattered and protruding. I have been in touch with Google, they are trying to give me the run around.

Wow,
Was it charging? or something extreme running?
Did you change the thermal throttling?
I've never had this problem my phone can get hot, but I never thought it was close to exploding.
No foul play here , normally if I was reading a post like this I would assume the same thing but it is a legit situation. The phone was completely stock so there were no changes to the thermal throttling or anything like that. The phone was not charging. The phone still works as well which I was surprised to see. I have pictures but I'm not sure if I should post them until I get a resolution with google.

Pictures or it didn't happen.
Edit...saw the pictures. How long did you charge your battery the night before ? I've had this happen to older phones where the battery started bulging due to prolonged overcharging with ****ty USB chargers. These phones were plastic so the back didn't break but it protruded.
Like you said, the phones I had were still functional as well. The only symptom is that the battery lost a drastic amount of total capacity and would die fairly quickly.
whoa. how old is it?
Purchased Feb 2013... I charged it like I do every night, over night. Every phone I have ever owned I charged over night. We all know these phones don't last two days unless you barely use them.

Well they have RMA'd it after I wouldn't accept the following email as an answer:
Hello XXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting Google in regards to your Nexus 4. I understand from personal experience that when something happens to your device it can be frustrating. However, rest assured I'm doing everything in my capability to help get this issue resolved.
After consulting your case to our specialist team they have informed me that unfortunately any type of cracked screen is not covered under our warranty.
Your best option would be to get in direct contact with LG. You can reach them at 1(800) 793-8896 to see what options they may have available for you.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to respond directly to this email and I would be more than happy to assist you.
All the best,
XXXXX
Asked for a Manager 3 times, never got to talk to one, and then she came back the last time saying she has been told to send me an RMA and that if they get the phone back and determine that it wasn't a manufacturing defect that I would have to foot the bill. I said how are you going to prove to me that you guys have determined it wasn't a defect? Couldn't answer that question.
Wow. Keep us posted!

I'm no expert, but I used to play with RC toys and the swelling happens to Lipo battery..
The swelling are could be cause by
-over charging/discharging the battery.
-charging it the wrong way.
-physical damage to the cell.
In this case, I think is a manufacturer defect of the battery.
I remember we use to charge RC Lipo batteries in a special bag incase the battery explode/catch on fire during charging.
Maybe some who knows more about these lipo can chime in !

LG G4 UK review

I got the LG G4 trough the insiders campaign in UK
Actually I own a Nexus 5, while in the past I had an S2 and a Note 2.
Nexus 5 is a quite good phone but battery life also with custom kernel is limited to its the battery size. Moreover when I bought my Nexus 5 I was coming from a Note 2, so I started to miss a bigger screen and for sure a better camera that is the weaker point of Nexus 5.
Battery
Let’s start from what everyone take care and want to now when they have to buy a new smartphone: “The battery life”.
So, taking into account that the battery life of a smartphone really depends on the usage pattern of every single user, apps and mobile reception of where we live, after 5 day of usage I can say that with my pattern of usage (see below) I am constantly getting between 4 and 5 hours of SOT.
Pattern of usage: 2 mails in push (one for work where I usually receive many mails by day), mixed use wifi/data, no push notification for facebook, chatting, browising, watching few videos, and reading mostly all the time. Some camera shots when I am with friends. Brightness always in automatic mode.
Camera
There are already too many example and comparisons on youtube. I can only confirm that the camera great one of the best for now. I have a DSLR camera and like to take my time when I have to take a picture of a landscape. So I really appreciated the manual mode and how it is good and simple the interface of the new camera app. Everything can be settled with few taps. Although a smartphone probably will never substitute a DSLR camera, with that toy on G4 you can have fun for sure.
Display
Also here, already many review and comparisons with the S6 amoled. Without judging which is better because I do not own an S6, what I can tell for sure is that it is really good. Colors are never saturated and brightness is fine in the majority of the situations. What I found really improved is the antiglare, the reflection of the sun seems to me pretty good, while a negative impression is that the display seems to be really power hungry as soon as you increase the brightness.
Reception and Calls
Reception is basically the same of my nexus 5 (pretty good) while I found the calls really clear on the LG G4 and better than my nexus 5.
Speakers
Good and really loud… was unexpected!
Missing Features out of the box
Two missing feature out of the box are the wireless charging and the quick charging. While the quick charging is officially supported by the SD808 and we only have to wait for a kernel update to have it enabled, the big disappoint is the wireless charge. Big disappoint because it is not officially supported on the leather cover but only buying a circle cover. After all the advertising on that cover by LG I can not understand why to enable a common feature of any actual flagship we have to change cover (or via an unofficial way, like a sticker to add to the cover).
Overall and final considerations
This phone is satisfying me under the majority of aspect that I want from a phone, like the battery life, the camera, the display and the quality of calls. I think this phone has a huge potential that can be improved with a good custom kernel and a lighter custom rom (even if I have to say that I found the stock rom really fluid and without any lag). With a custom kernel we will probably gain an other hour of SOT.

I got an email yesterday to say that I didn't get picked.
I'm in as well, with the insiders too. One disappointment is I thought we would get the phone before launch, it doesn't look that way anymore. I wonder if they will send out a random selection of colours or just the black.
I didn't get in. Looks like I'll have to buy one in Black Leather next week instead [emoji14]

Yep mee too .. From the mail seems that the device will arrive for the end of this week
I didn't get in, keen to hear what you guys think before ordering one
I'm in too! Devices are arriving tomorrow so we should be one week ahead of launch
I have been selected too for the UK campaign!! Tomorrow UPS is delivering the G4
I think at the end of the program we will be offered to keep the phone for £250, this is the money that they would take in case of loss lol
I'm pretty sure it is going to be the UK/EU model.
I'm just wondering if we will be getting the LTE of the WiFi only model from what I've seen that's the one the testers are getting overseas
And me mine due tomorrow as well
Has anyone figured out whether it will be metal or leather yet

I just think it would be strange that the rest of the world gets the wifi model and the people in the UK the full one but then again the other people didn't have to leave a safety bond
That's very true, but I'm sure it said somewhere that rrp 500 that wouldn't be a dummy phone.
But on the other hand, why would the payment only be 250 if you didn't return it when the phone is around 599 gbp and the headphones are 80

Hahah well.. I suppose we will find out tomorrow.
I'm gonna be at work until 6pm so I'll be checking here for an update lol
Hey!
Does your G4 have 4G?! The one I got doesn't support it.
Mine too will arrive tomorrow ... it sound strange that the UK model is the only one not wifi, but it is also true that we were probably the only ones we had to provide the bank account to have it .. let's see tomorrow what we will get

Located in Frisco Texas, Schnail people work so hard to keep improving their design and quality, " Keep your phone pounding"
Also, they don't think the premium heavy-duty case should charge people $50, yes, UAG, OTTERBOX, AND SPECK, good cases but ridiculous prices.
if you agree no plastic and rubber should cost you 50 bucks, you definitely need to get Schnail.
Besides, Schnail donates to the American Cancer Society, their ultimate goal is to eliminate cancers.

Yeah I think they haven't gotten inventory yet still... So this is like flushing a clogged toilet.
Never received one on the first go around
Did anybody get one at all.

They sent me the amount needed to buy both cases via PayPal. Bought both via Amazon, already have shipping info!

I just got the email willing to send my feedback and they said that they will send the money via PayPal
Anyone else go through the whole process after getting the email?
I just sent my email with the screen shot of the cart. I'm ready to hit place order as soon as they respond.
Email sent waiting for the reply
Sent the screenshot and got a response/Paypal funds. But for some reason was only sent $15 (order total is $40.92). Sent a reply asking about it...
Edit: Well, I looked at the wrong transaction. There was another transaction for the correct amount. Ordered the cases and they have shipped. Will test then out and report back.
Sent screenshot, received funds, ordered cases. Looking forward to trying them out and offering my feedback! It's a bit odd that you have to order both Ultra and Non-Ultra cases, but I'll review them both as best as I can with only owning the Note 20 Ultra.

The original e-mail I sent to participate via their website got a response same day. I applied at about 1AM and got a reply at 4PM.
The funds for purchasing the case after submitting the screenshot arrived just over three hours after I e-mailed it to them.
I got the $$$ in PayPal first and then I ordered both cases. I got shipment notification today.
Why there are no cases on schnail's official website for note 20 ultra?
I got my completely free cases (one for ultra, one for just the note 20) today. Seem nice. Buttons are snappy. Seems durable. I will post a better overview later tonight.
So an update on my case...
I actually like this case a lot. It feels pretty durable. The sides have a grippy texture. The buttons, like I said previously, are very responsive, which tends to be a big issue with other cases. The case also has a usbc cover flap, which I find super helpful, as on my pixel 3xl, the usb c port is the first thing that broke on the device. The case is thick enough to eliminate the camera bump on both phones.
The one place that this case seems to have issues is the kickstand. Perhaps it will wear over time, however I have a really hard time opening the kickstand and retracting it. The design forces me to use my fingernails to open it, however I don't really have fingernails. My wife seems to have no issues with her note 20 case/kickstand (however she does have fingernails to open it, and she does have a hard time retracting it. ) Perhaps this issue will remedy itself over time/use.
I think this will replace my spigen case my wife had and will definitely cover my note 20 Ultra.
Thanks a lot Schnail!
Got my case today for my note 20 ultra
Feels good in the hand it's rugged enough to protect the phone, but less bulky than other heavy duty cases, the buttons are clicky no issues pressing the button.
USB port nice detail for extra protection, will keep posting my experience as I use it daily.
Good job SCHNAIL
Received my cases and giving the Ultra one a spin. First impressions are that this is a nice looking case and feels good in the hand. The kickstand takes a little prying to take out and it doesn't seem to work in portrait mode (the pictures on Amazon makes it look like it does). Wireless charging worked on a flat charger that I have, but doesn't on my other stand charger. I'll keep it on for a couple days before giving additional comments.
