My Optimus L7 drives me crazy...
I had a bootloop and today, finally, I fixed it with help of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39453347&postcount=10
But now I have some problems: Now I have the wrong baseband, I would flash a new one with CWD but:
1. Your phone does not have recovery now, if you boot it in recovery mode or normal mode it always boots to your Cyanogenmod 9 ROM, you can always boot your recovery manually from the pc in fastboot by typing "fastboot boot recovery.img", for this to work you must have your recovery.img extracted from the Clockwork recovery zip file in the same directory as your adb and fastboot .exe

What recovery.img? What Clockwork Recovery Zip File?!
That is for a completely different phone!
Flash Stock ROM using KDZ updater!
Vol - (or Vol + and -) will boot into emergency mode.
For correct kdz file, just Google! @Paget96 has L7, contact him for more details!

Thanks for the fast answer.
I did not install the CyanogenMod 9 for LG C800, I used CyanogenMod 10 for L7, it was the only way for me to escape that bootloop., everything else did not help.
I alread tried absolutely every button combination, it's not possible to boot in emergency or recovery mode, it always starts directly to CyanogenMod.....

Hello!
I got cyangenmod 7.1.0 with swiftdroid and now I want to return to stock ROM. I tried this tutorial but without success, when I plug in my phone and press start nothing happens. Is there any easier way (for noobs)?
I got LG GT540.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
solution software bricked
After flashing with stock rom v2.1 successfully using kdz updater, the phone was stuck on boot logo or there was infinite boot load cycle (depends of the stock rom used).
Now, if you have software bricked LG GT540 before becoming another brick of your house try this:
1. Install Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread Cyanogenmod 7.1 using this
Code:
modaco.com/topic/344369-2nov11-android-237-gingerbread-swiftdroid-cm-71-for-lg-gt540-new-method/
tutorial. Now I want to mention ignore step 9 because you obviously can't boot. Now other thing to boot into fastboot mode press VOLUME UP + SEARCH button and plug the USB cable into the PC. If that don't works press VOLUME UP + SEARCH + POWER ON and wait until FastBoot Mode is shown on the screen of the phone or nothing is shown on the screen (don't worry if you see nothing you're probably in fast boot mode). Then proceed with the rest of the tutorial.
2. Now if you have your phone up and working and want to upgrade to ice sandwich follow this
Code:
androidforums.com/lg-optimus-gt540/494941-update-4-0-lg-gt-540-a.html
tutorial Section 2.
I was messing around all day to workaround this problem and the conclusion is that: this is the ONLY way it worked. I tried all possible ways to flash to stock rom but still stuck on the boot logo.
Hope that I helped someone with the same problem.
Regards.
Find a backup of stock rom in development section..unzip it and paste in sd ( clockworkmod>backup folder) and restore in cwm recovery..
Sent from my LG-GT540 using xda premium
cwm recovery

Cool it works like a charm. I found this .zip with European Open V20A + fastboot.
Btw, do you know what combination of keys would put me in CWM (when starting the phone) or how to get "POWER button until it appears to turn off the menu, select REBOOT and then select RECOVERY, the phone will reboot into Recovery Menu." ?
I tried pressing Power Off+Home or only Home on LG logo but still nothing, it just went into safe mode.
Thanks a lot for the help.
Regards.
I installed Cyanogen mod on a p705g, but it was originally meant for p700
So I had a cyanogen screen that just looped over and over
I have clockworkmod recovery and I can access the recovery screen
So I formatted everything and wiped out everything
When I boot up, the only thing that appears is the lg logo
So I booted back to cwm
I don't know what to do.
Help.
I have a phone that has nothing.
It's just showing the lg logo with cwm recovery installed in the background.
Or rather, can someone give me a backup for cwm
Did you try emergency mode? (volume up + volume down + power button)
If not, see if you can enter it and then flash your stock firmware with Software update [KDZ] 1.0.4.4 (KDZ-Flasher).

I have cwm
I installed slimbean and it says my phone model is a p700 now.
How do I flip it back
KDZ won't recognize it and the lg mobile support tool doesn't support p700

What do you mean that Software update [KDZ] (KDZ-Flasher) won't recognize it? It gives you "no phone found"?
And why do you think that LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL is not supported by your p700?
Yeah it gives me no phone found.
Also, I believe that p700 isn't canadian, hence, b2appsetup isn't recognizing it.

I don't believe they have a different version for different regions. It's the same utility, though the utility itself gives you the right firmware, according to your region.
Anyway, did you try emergency mode? (volume up + volume down + power button)
If not, enter emergency mode, and then try reflashing your stock ROM.
If you did try emergency mode and it didn't work, try performing "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe Dalvik Cache" within CWM, and try to boot again.
If that won't work, try mounting your phone via CWM, and then try to copy your preferred ROM files to be flashed within CWM.
This is a different brick, I flashed a baseband v20 for L5 on the L7, when I rebooted there was only a iluminated black screen, the problem is that I can't enter on any SW/Upgrade, recovery, emergency mode etc. I'm only able to flash with fastboot, but I haven't find a way to reflash baseband or whatever to unbrick my L7.
Could you giveme something to flash and runbrick my L7?
PD: When I try to flash System.img it says "File too large"
Oh I think there is no way... To flash a new baseband you must can boot into recovery... Did you tried CWM on PC?
No

No, how can I do that? do I have to turn on the phone? Because it doesn't enter on any mode, just fasboot
I'm sorry, I can't help you by that thing. Seek for CWM and PC I dont know how to do it...
Enter into the Emergency Mode. By Removing the Battery & Connect to the Charger & Press home+Power+Vol up.Then Flash the ROM again
Thanks, problem solved.
Thanks to everyone, the problem was that I couldn't see when it was on emergency mode, the screen never showed me anything, because it was only in black, anyway, I tried all combination buttons until I fount that vol down+put usb without battery installed new drivers on Windows 8, then finally I could flash stock. Again thanks.
The g2 mount porting lollipop lg gpro2, go to bootloop because i flash BlueCyclonKernel1.0.
there is a program for Windows that allows me to send the phone in recovery? the cell goes into download mode, but I definitely can not flash a stock rom (I would lose all my data)
Thank you and sorry for my english.

You can try DP TOOLS or SRK Tool : the last one can help you to exit Download Mode. If you was under Lollipop, maybe combination key to enter in recovery has changed: try volume down + power (when device is fully poweroff), and then when you see LG Logo, press Volume Up and Volume Down
I´m stuck on boot and I don´t know why but I can´t enter in recovery mode with the volume down and power button combination. I was in TWRP recovery and had a failed rom flash, but I accidently touched the reboot button and now I´m stuck on the LG logo . No button combination is working for me :/ sorry for my english and pls help me what should I do?

A failed ROM flash shouldn't affect your /recovery partition. Unless it included a Recovery of course. What ROM did you flash? Your Kernel is probably stuck trying to load a non-existent user space (no ROM/bad system partition).
Make sure your device is fully powered off by holding the POWER button for 30 seconds. This will make sure your device is OFF.
I know you've tried one of these methods, but try both of these methods to access recovery JUST IN CASE..
Method 1 (JB Bootloader).
Turn device OFF. Press and HOLD Power + Volume Down. When the LG Logo appears let go of both buttons and again press and HOLD Power + Volume DOWN.
Method 2 (KK Bootloader).
Turn device OFF. Press and HOLD Power + Volume Down. When the LG Logo appears let go of both buttons and HOLD Volume UP + Volume DOWN.
Can you access Download Mode?
Turn phone OFF. Hold Volume UP and plug phone into PC via USB.
thank you for the fast reply, I tried it but I can´t access recovery mode.
But download mode is working, what would be the next step?

Return to Stock :good:.
I'm curious though.. what ROM did you try to flash?
I´m downloading right now thanks for your help.
But there are a few questions I would like to ask what does the download mode look like? I know it´s kind of a silly question but it shows
"firmware update
do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete
0%
USER B84
ROOTED"
on my device is that normal? and my other question is am I going to lose all my data after flashing that kdz?
edit: I flashed a stock lp rom and it showed SystemUI error after boot so I couldn´t use it at all, at this point the button combinations for the recovery mode weren´t working, too but after waiting some time the SystemUI error was gone and I could use my phone for a few seconds so I kind of managed it to enter into recovery mode an tried to flash the latest darkobas rom but that failed...

Yes, that's the normal Download Mode screen.
B84 is your Battery Percentage.
The ROOTED text is just telling you that your phone has been Rooted.
When flashing your KDZ you have 2 options.. CSE Flash and Normal Flash.
CSE Flash will wipe all partitions. Choose this if you want to start fresh.
Normal Flash will wipe some partitions and keep your data.
Don't change any of the other options!
I recommend you do a CSE Flash too be honest. I haven't messed with Lollipop enough and have never done a Normal Flash over it.
for some reason it is failing at 2%

Is that using Normal Flash?
Have you tried CSE Flash?
What model variant of the G2 do you have?
Lollipop changes your partition scheme a little so trying to flash a KK KDZ over a Lollipop partition scheme will cause errors, unless you do a CSE Flash. This is also why once you flash LP you can't just flash a KK ROM afterwards. First you need to revert your partition scheme back to what KK needs.
So with all that said.. do a CSE Flash. If you're rooting and flashing data using custom recovery you should always have a back up of all your data/media on your PC anyway .
it´s the same using both methods normal and cse :/
I have the d802 version, and I´m trying to flash a lollipop kdz, should I try it with a kitkat one?
I also found this thread but I don´t know if it´s useful because I need working recovery for it to work I think

Yes try a KK KDZ. If the KK KDZ continues to fail, try the TOT Method (the TOT method is under the KDZ method).
Yes that's the post I made a while ago.. which I was going to possibly link you to if you had a D802 .. but I forgot you can't seem to access Recovery at all.
