How do I replace the SD card on my Galaxy Y GT-S5360? I've looked on the forum, but there is no mention of transferring apps.

You can use titanium backup (playstore) to backup all your apps
Once done transfer the titanium backup folder to your pc
Put your new sd card in & transfer the titanium backup folder to it
You can then restore apps
Titanium backup requires root
Of course changing your sd card will only effect apps with the apk or the apps data on the sd card - any other apps that have the apk or data on internal will be unaffected
Remember to partition your new sd card first if you are using link2sd or similar method of virtual storage

Move to SD missing

Hello all,
i have a problem here with my samsung y because i want to move apps to SD card but i don't have that option. In the tutorial i have seen there is an option that allow you to move to SD card. How i need to procede? I have root, link2sd and AppMgr III
Thank for help guys
questions belong in the question and answer section
create a 2nd ext partition on your sd card using cwm (note your sd card will be formatted during this process so backup)
then use link2sd to link your apps to your sd card (note you will require a kernel that supports ext partitions)
please search for a guide for link2sd
In link2sd, you can move apps to sd card by clicking on the app>move to sd card

[Q] could not find backup file saved internal SD Card

I have Galaxy S 4 I9500 and my problem is i could not find backup file saved internal SD Card using ES File manager and the others. The other problem is After deleting folder from internal SD Card Storage capacity do not change. I delete 1 GB data but capacity SD Card same.
Here is the explanation.
First of all i rooted Android 4.3 and then install Rom Manager Program from Goggle Store to backup my all info. Room Manager did not work normaly and i tought that it was due to KNOX. Then i install Philz Touch Coustom Rom and remove KNOX. Then i tried to backup my all sistem via Philz Touch Coustom ROM and it worked. Everything was normal. When i run the Room Manager i could not find backup file to restore. I checked the internal SD Card storage capacity and i saw that it was about 3 GB less. It means Backup file saved to internal Sd Card but i could not find by Room Manager. I decide to find this backup file using ES File manager and the others. I could not find Backup Folder or any Backup file. I tried to one more time have backup via Philz Touch Coustom Rom and this time choosed backup to external SdCard. It worked normaly and and after booting android i found the file using ES File manager and the others but not Room Manager. Then i decided to copy this folder to internal Sd Card to check will i see the same folder in internal SD Card. I relized that i have not enought capacity in internal sd card after backup which i could not find folder but storege size 3 GB less. Any how i tried to copy but after coping 1 GB capacity was full and could not copy all files. It was interesting that when i deleted the copied file about 1 GB, storage capasity of internal SD Card did not change. It was full.
How can i solve the problem? Internal SD Card full but i can not see saved backed file and after deleting file capacity do not change.
Best Regards,

Apps in internal memory or sd card?

Hi!
I see that some of the apps are in sd card (application manager -> sd card). But I didn't move thwm there.
1. How Android decides what apps where should be installed?
2. Are there any downsides installing apps to sd card? Except the fact that apps won't be available when sd card is removed.
3. Will progress of my games and settings of my apps will be saved in sd card after apps are reinstalled after factory reset?
Thanks!!
+1
1) by size. Don't know the exact but as an example if an app is bigger than 100mb then it is installed on the external sd.
2) The one you stated plus the fact that the internal memory is quite faster than the external card.
3) I think no. Except for apps that use an account or the internet for saves, you are gonna need an app like titanium backup to restore apps data.

[Q] External SD not writable in Android 5.0

I have just updated my Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) to Android 5.0 using Odin 3.10.6 in these two days.
After upgrading to Android 5.0, I found that Titanium Backup cannot backup to External SD, and it said the External SD is not writable.
I have also tried some other backup apps, they also cannot access to External SD.
As I know that in Android 5.0, apps can already access to External SD...and I have tried SDFix, which cannot fix the problem.
Any idea what happen? What can I do to allow Titanium Backup to get access to the External SD?
I found that Titanium Backup cannot backup to External SD
TB pro backs up my 5-0 to ext SD.
Try formatting your ext sd card .

I'm having the same problem and I don't think it's with the ext SD card, I'm pretty sure it's with TB.
I used the TWRP app to fix it.
I think custom ROM is the only solution.
Above answer is 100% wrong .
i used dr ketans sd fix it worked for me ,,might have to reboot after and rescan folder or make a titanium backup folder in ex sd
Need to be rooted. Modify platform.xml Here the instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20869996&postcount=7

complete back up or image on rooted note4 -&- how to install apps on external sd.
Hi,
I am looking for the best way to get a full back up of my phone, as per the Iphones, backed up through I tune.
In other words, how can I have/save an image of my note4, rooted already, and restore just in case?
Back up can be saved to the external sd card or PC.
Can it be done with titanium backup or any other app?
Anyone can explain how/which way can I use Titanium backup for that??
Also,
how can I use my external sd card to install by default all my apps, so I do not use the internal memory??
How to swipe the already installed apps to external sd card?
Thank you for your help !!
