I've been searching restlessy for the past 2 days for a simple way to implement a PIN-styled lockscreen into my app. I already have the layout for it, but I don't know how to make it secure and I don't know how to make the damn keyboard to not appear when I touch the EditText contained in it. Do you guys have any suggestion?
There's an Xposed module that let's one protect whatever app with a passcode, you may want to start there, good luck getting support

I have searched for this topic but I could not find it, my apologize if it is a duplicated thread.
As you all know the new android 4.2, you can go in to certain apps or widgets straight from lock screen swiping left or right. Is there any way to disable this feature, its annoying and I never use them...I thought there was setting where I can disable this but I could not find it...help would be awesome!
Yes I am also interested in doing this.
Anyone have any ideas?

Since I'm a new user I can't post links.
However, simply go to Google play and search for "lockscreen policy".
Hi everybody,
I was wondering if exist any method or mod to hide the navigation bar on the stock-rooted 4.2.2 ROM? I tried with fullscreen+piecontrol pro, but there is a conflict between fullscreen and piecontrol pro, the last one does not show the notifications...
I know the cyanogenmod and the paranoid roms can do that, but i am trying to preserve the original stock rom...
greetings!!
Edit:
I did it!!! and its very easy!
What do you need??
LMT Launcher

FullScreen Toggle (for android 4.1)

Re: [Q] [REQ] Hide nav-bar mod on stock-rooted 4.2.2 ROM?
Add this line to your build.prop- qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
Then use LMT Launcher.

will you listen if someone tells you this is crazy?
you want to preserve the polish of your stock rom, ...by installing a hack? thats like stomping on it. not to mention that its limited.
not many people know this, and this may come as a surprise to you, but nexus roms base on AOSP. in other words, that is stock android you're dealing with. theres no way to do it cleaner, you take android sourcecode, supplied by google, you add google supplied vendor files, and you extend it in a clean way. you end up with a coherent, sane system. you will not loose the polish that you know from stock. its not a clunky do it yourself makeshift solution, it feels and behaves as if its part of the whole.

neither lmt nor any root hack can do it. you really wanna go that way still?

i understand you. what im saying is, instead you take a nicely designed, coherent OS, and you smash it against the wall and stomp on it. by installing dirty hacks that is. theres nothing stock anymore after that treatment, you're dealing with root apps here running all the time, sucking your battery dry, ramping up your cpu. with smali hacks that erode your framework and fragment your android anyway, so its not updatable by OTA. you're going for the dirtiest solution possible thinking you'll stay clean. it just makes no sense.

FullScreen Toggle (for android 4.1)
I found the FullScreen Toggle in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497558
I already know the solution, but the concern is that the screen flashes when moving in such an application message, contact, etc ... it's a shame because this is the only application that does exactly what is being asked, just hide the navigation bar while keeping the tray.
Simple app to hide nav bar and replace it with transparent buttons on the corners
This app called "full!screen" is a quick and easy way to get rid of the nav bar. It (optionally) replaces the buttons with transparent buttons on the lower right and left corners. Very customizable and stable, but it needs root.

I am using this code with GMT gesture. Amazing and I love it. I am on rooted stock.

You can now hide soft keys (and keep notification bar) without modifications and reboots. Just try my new app:
GMD Hide Soft Keys
It also adds Quick NavBar - soft keys that can be openede with simple swipe from bottom and they autohide when not needed.
im gettingvreally annoyed with unlovking d phone and the clock expands. Is there a way to remove the expand option?

Bumping this one ... Anyone knows how to get a clean unlock screen like S3 for example ?
Are we all on the same page here.... sometimes the lock screen will go haywire and show some mini applications, or boxes that have edit options? Like adding stuff to the lock screen when you didn't ask for it... ? Anyway to turn it off.... Might have to buy a custom locker
I dont have any widgets/apps on the lockscreen, but its kind of annoying when the clock expands and makes it hard to unlock the phone....
I guess we got too used to the "slide from anywhere to unlock" feature. Just slide at the very bottom and youre golden every time

If you slide downward from the clock widget or any other screen widget, this feature allows you to edit the current widget, add a new one, or replace.
Having a problem with Widgetlocker on my Note 3...
Installed Widgetlocker via direct purchase from teslacoilsw.com. Software is installed & basically 'works', but I'm unable to pull up the Add menu via long press. Tool mode and/or lockscreen...neither pull up the Add menu. What's strange is I get some haptic feedback during long press in tool mode and if I tap around a bit & can get random stuff to happen (like adding an app shortcut to the screen). It's like the menu is 'there' but it's not visible or something. Any suggestions?
Reinstalled & all's good now...nm. (mods, delete post if needed)
~thx
Hi,having the same problem...for my case if you used custom wallpaper then the add menu is like hidden behind the wallpaper, maybe you need to check using custom wallpaper first
Sent the dev an email and he's looking into it. I found that using an alternate wallpaper doesn't do good either.

Would love to be able to send the developer and email. After figuring a way to install on the Note 3, since it shows unavailable for Note 3 on "play" - now I have the pull down notification bar sitting "behind" whatever I add to my Widgetlocker screen...making the pull down virtually unusable...maybe if you could tell me how to submit this to developer...?

On the play store I believe there is a link. As a work around I hide the notification bar and use Dashclock. I also think the dev just became a "daddy" so we may have to wait a bit.

I was wondering how you could hide the lockscreen notification bar.
I am using nova launcher prime and that easily lets me hide the homescreen notification bar but I couldn't figure out how to disable it on lockscreen.

oh yes I was aware of the widgetlocker option but i had to uninstall it for reasons already stated in this thread. I thought I am missing an in built setting somewhere to hide the notification bar. lol

well for me its still not 100% functional.
download from playstore and installed it. set it up as per my needs. till then everything was fine. the moment i tried to change the default locker theme to a custom one it force closed. (that custom theme had worked perfectly on my note2).
can anyone pls check and confirm if you are able to change and use a custom wl theme successfully?

I am attempting to make my lock screen appear like the image posted below. This screenshot is actually of the home screen, not the lock screen.
The only lock-screen app I could find that allows widget overlap is "WidgetLocker". If there are others I could play around with, please let me know.
My current strategy is to add both "Dash Clock" and "Circle Battery Widget" to the WidgetLocker (WL) lock screen and attempting to align them via overlap. Unfortunately, it looks like WL only allows overlap via resizing - not by placing one widget on top of another. I think it is still possible, with enough tinkering, but it won't be easy.
One thing that might make this easier would be if I could see the grid when moving widgets on the lock screen. The settings for this app are pretty extensive and I can't find the option if it's there.
Any suggestions that might help me reproduce this lock screen are welcome. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I guess I don't have the privileges to add an image yet. If you're curious, head to bitly slash 19muwsg

They look similar but are two different questions. Sorry about that, should've been more careful with my wording.
