Optimus L7 P705g Sound Issues - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Currently using an LG Optimus L7 P705g
I tried flashing to different android versions, stock (ice cream sandwhich), jelly bean (stock, slim, cm, etc.), and now I'm attempting to flash kitkat(stock works perfectly fine, cm11 and liquid are giving me a few issues).
I used the steps from these two threads for cm11 and liquid smooth
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2791132
http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l3-l5-l7/orig-development/rom-liquidsmooth-v3-2-t2894473
Followed all the steps correctly.
Issue:
Sound is really weird. It keeps playing through the speaker.
Everything else works completely fine. Camera, sound recording, et cetera.
I've tried flashing multiple times, through the P700 CWM version, also P705. ROMS cannot be flashed with the wrong version.
There is no difference.
I think it is recognizing that headphones are inserted. When I play music without earphones, of course it plays through the speaker, but when I plug headphones in it continues through the speaker. I know that it does recognize something because when I set the volume down without the headphones, then I plug headphones in, the volume changes by going loud again.
Suggestions?
Thank you.
Note: Soundabout did not work. Sound continued to play through speaker.

Go to setting/sound/equalizer. That is viper4android. Go to phone speaker, and reduce gain . From. 0dBl. To -3.0 Or 3.9dbl. Thats it
And that second you say, problem with headphones, that is a problem in that latest versions, try cyanHacker

Cyanhacker ROM doesn't work, same headphone issue):

First try to plug in and unplug the head phones a few times thben check for sound from the speaker
Second turn on a song in a music player and then lightly blow into the speaker! If it comes on when you blow then the speakers bad. If not its probably a software issue
MTD (EL30)
BLENDED CLEAN GB 1.12 With Various mods
SHADOW V3.0
(in the voice of lil john)
YAAAYUUUUUHH!!!!
Ok so I tried plugging my head phones in and out and the didnt work. then i played the music without the headphones and blowed into the speakers and still no sound (also no vibration either). I factory reset, wiped cache and dalvik and flashed CM9 Beta 1, and still no sound.
Might be a bad jack. Take it to a Sprint store.

cm9 bad sound through headset

Hi
Just flashed coldfusionx 4.0.4 latest version.
Everything is fine except really bad sound through the headset when playing any audio!
Sounds like extremely high virtual surround sound or listening far away in a well!
I tried adjusting dsp manager, settings etc.
Still the same. This makes everything unlistenable!
How do I fix this
Update:
If I push the headphone jack all the way in, the sound is weird
however if I hold it halfway through the sound is coming perfectly though only through one of the phones.
Anyone?

Not the ROM problem. Probably a loose connection at the phone or the earphones end
Definitely something to do with the rom.
Tried with 2 different headsets....also flashed CM7 instead and the headset sound is fine!
Flashed again with coldfusionx cm9 and same problem again.
I found on my Blade that only one type of earphone connector will work fine, if the connector is plugged in fully.
There are two types of earphone connectors in case there is a mic present:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phone_connector_(audio)#Mobile_phones
For my blade only "Apple Style" worked fine, else sound quality is very bad. Also all earphones withour mic work fine.
Maybe there is also some rom rependency, I dont know, i use SS.

No sound from external speakers after installing new kernel

Hi guys.
I installed new kernel, and have no sound from internal speakers. Then I reverted all back to stock rom and kernel, but still no sound.
If I move tablet right to my ear - seems sound us still working but with tiny volume. In headphones - sound working fine.
I already did full wipe, format and stock again but with no effect.
Can you help me?

same problem. Any help??
If you have already formatted and fastboot back to stock, and the speaker is still out, than you have eliminated software as a cause. Hardware problem. Rma.

Very Low Mic Volume On Custom ROMs

So the problem is that no matter what custom ROM I use the mic volume is incredibly low. Talking on the phone I cannot be heard at all, if I put it on loudspeaker I can be heard faintly. Same problem for any app that uses the microphone, like sound recorder, recording a video, it barely picks up any sound.
But what's strange is that everything works perfectly on on Stock. I've installed custom ROMs on this before and last used cm10 before I upgraded way back. But now the problem also exists on that CM10 ROM. Any ideas how to fix it?
Additionally I've tried disabling the google now search listening (which fixed the same problem on my OPO) but does not work here. I've tried the following ROMs: CM10, CM11, CM12 all official nightlies and Crdroid 5.1.1.
Very frustrating as otherwise CM12 works perfectly and I intend to give this phone to someone!
So testing it further I found out that it works fine using google now and search. So either the internal microphone is disabled or maybe noise cancelling is messed up.

broken speaker after kernel 3.4 update

Hi, I tried the kernel 3.4 on my nexus 7, but after I installed it my speaker starts to play audio really bad, now is noisy ,scratchy and pretty low. So I tought was rom/kernel related, and back to 3.0 kernel, but no way to get it working good again. So I changed the speaker with a new one, and the audio isn't anymore scratchy, but is really low when compared to his previous stage, I cannot use in a room with peaple simply talking for example, forcing me to use a bluetooth speaker, or headphone. What happened to my nexus 7? I changed many roms, but doesn't seem to be fixable by sw, what can I do? now I'm on slimkat + parrot mod, which works flawlessy.
thank you
