LG Flash Tool 2014 seems broken now after I updated LG PC Suite...
Probably new LG drivers. Reinstall old ones, somewhere in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089

Hello. I have bricked LG Spirit 4G h440n model. It is stuck on LG logo. I can go in the download mode, but every time LGUP detects the phone as Unknown model. I have tried everything, installed LGUP_8916.dll, added to registry, tried with UPPERCUT but every time I get Unknown model. I tried this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/bring-lg-g5-to-life-download-mode-lgup-t3565508 which I successfully tried few times on LG G5, but it doesn't work with LG Spirit. LG Flashtool always says Failed PreviousLoad(). I have tried on a PC and the laptop, different drivers, different versions of LGUP and Flashtool, but every time same errors. LGUP detects my LG G5 and V30 without problem. Any suggestions?
Have you tried with this lg flash tool?

Yes, I have tried Lg Flash Tool 2014. It comes with and error, also.
As you all know the chinese version of LG G5 H868 still has not receive android nougat 7.0 .Other lg G5 versions are waiting to get oreo update. I saw many people asking in many forums when will H868 get nougat update. When I received lg G5 (H868) 1 week ago my first question was why this version of LG G5 still in marshmallow. I tried everything from OTA to LG bridge and everytime it says I'm in latest OS version. So i searched in many forum and came to know that LG has abondoned the cell phone market in China ( HK and Taiwan version H860 received nougat).
Since LG G5 H868 is a dual sim variant and has same hardware as H860N except some signal bands( BTW i'm still getting full signal in nougat), I thought why not give a try. So I just installed LG bridge and necessary drivers and tried flashing which throwed me some error. I asked with banned developer of XDA with his facebook account and he asked me for $30 for tutorial. So instead of giving $30 I thought to try myself. After countless hours of researching I came to know that I need to edit some code of .dz file using hexeditor .
Warning : This method is only for LG G5 H868 . Proceed with your own risk. Other model don't try as you may end up with hardbricking your device.
Instruction
1 You must be in latest marshmallow build 10f . If you are in other build first update using either ota or using LG bridge
2 Download and install uppercut by autoprime, LGUP, LG USB drivers from link . First install LG USB drivers , then LGUP ( after installing don't open LGUP) and then uppercut
3 Download LG V20a or V20f firmware from H868 HK model. V20a supports VoLTE whereas V20f doesnot.
3 Download and install window LG firmware extract and hexeditor neo
4 Now open LG firmware extract and extract .kdz file to .dz format ( For graphical image you see the website below)
5 Open .dz file extracted above using hexeditor and change the two line where it says H860 to H868 ( For graphical image you see the website below)
6 After changing both lines save the file.
7 Boot your device in download mode and plug your LG G5 to computer . If this is you first time entering in download mode, Wait till all driver installs in your computer
8 Now open uppercut, it will automatically adds your necessary file and opens LGUP automatically . See if your device is detected in LGUP as comport eg COM 4
9 Click upgrade and locate the modified .dz file . After adding .dz file click the start button wait till your device gets updated
10 After update leave your device connected until your device boots up with secure login screen
11 At this time take out batter from your device and enter in recovery mode and factory reset your device. After factory reset let your device boot completely into Nougat.
Note : Every time you need to update in other nougat firmware you need to first downgrade to android marshmallow version v10f. For example if you wish to upgrade to v20f and you upgraded to v20a, First you need to go in V10f and then v20f

Yesterday I bricked my LG G2 when i tried to go back to stock. Now if i use LG Flash Tool it gives LAF Error, if i use Flash Tool 2014 it stuck at 4%. I can enter only download mode. I think i must nuke my laf partition or something like that. Please help me
just keep trying.. Flash Tool 2014 should flash laf partition, too.. if you google for LG Flash Tool 2014 stuck 4% you'll find a huge number of thread.. so - if you're following the guide about the por com, the dll file and so on) it should work; also try to switch USB port (USB 2), cable, charge the device for a night and if possible even use another PC (better if older Windows version like 7 or XP).
Here on xda just yesterday: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/advice-bricked-g2-d802-make-unbrick-t3944065
same issue, solved by simply keep trying..
I am trying flash my LG G4 H812 using LG flash tool v.1.8.1.1023 but it stucks on 4% I want to fix it cuz it was model H815
