It's really good as it is very thin, but the bad thing is that the top and bottom are not covered by the case, therefore you will still get scratches.

Silicone Case for Sprint Touch Pro, Anyone?

i'm looking for my HTC Touch Pro by Sprint.
anybody have experience with these two silicone skins? or if it's bad, do anyone have a recommendation for Sprint HTC Touch Pro? i just bought generic silicone skin and it sucks. the rail falling off from the silicone and its just useless junk now. sorry for my english, i've come from Indonesia. Thank you
I don't know about those two for sure, but the one I had was a pain in the butt to get out of your pocket. It also was really hard to push the power button with it. I will not buy silicone again. Seemed to protect it well tho..
i got one. they are crap!

I agree that It makes it difficult to take the phone out of pocket.
In spite, I love it. I tried a hard case, which made the touch screen work in a funny way. I wish, some shields were out there which wraps around the edges. Then there would be no need of extra casing.

I already have an IS installed. But it does not cover the edges. See the attached picture (got from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=453847)

Can you post a pic?
Grow some bigger manlier hands or put a rubbery case on it and be done with it.
I didn't really have any slipperiness problems, but I put a rubber case on it anyhow as I feel silly putting stickers all over it. (I am using a screen protector.) I care more that it is in good condition than that people see what kind of phone I have though.
The phone isn't slippery like soap. I think what he means is its pretty thin and easy to lose grip of it because of its shape if you dont hold it right. I had a fe close calls with it but haven't dropped it yet.
Oh I get it... I can reach the entire screen & trackball with my thumb the way I hold it though and didn't have any near drops or anything in the days before I put the cover on it. So as I said, grow some bigger hands!
It's not even close to being as slippery as the MyTouch/Ion/Magic.

I agree - some times the unit is soooo slippery. I suspect though, with the cold weather, my hands are fairly dry. Try putting some moisturiser (E45?) on & see if it makes any difference!

Mate: Man, that's a nice phone!
Me: Yeah just got it the other day!
Mate: Can I have a little play to see what's its like?
Me: No problem, can you just rub some of this E45 in first?
Hella Slippery I just ordered a Silicone Case and Phanton Skinz screen gaurd... I need something on this phone it feels waayyyy too fragile and naked.
Pics of a cracked screen: http://picasaweb.google.com/pspr33/N1#
It should be back with me tomorrow or Monday. If anyone is wondering, HTC UK charge £78 to replace the screen (which includes labour and return postage).
Very slippery & almost dropped it a few times. I have a gel skin til Seidio cases are ready!

If you can find the old version anywhere it even has the HTC - style flipclock...
My N1 felt too fragile until I got my case now I can have a bit more peace of mind.

Feeling side of HD2 on display edges

I own my HD2 for 3 days now.
I have one simple question and I hope that more users experience this.
If I slide my finger to the right of the screen, to the end, I feel the side of the HD2. If I slide my finger to the left, the display goes over in the rest of the HD2.
At the bottom of the screen, it's the other way around. There I can feel a little edge on the left side.
Other users experience this?
did you drop it? by the looks of the pictures I've seen where they take apart a HD2, the screen is held in place by the rubber sides..
it's normal...99% of the hd2 was not been totally flushed with sides which is a rubber..
yes i have it too.
Well, in that case, mines' exceptionally well built. It's totally flushed with the glass. Sorry to put that out. I just love mines!

*my english is not that good haha*
So it's normal that you feel the rubber on one side ? Whilst de other side is straight with the glass itself?

Same here. Maybe 1/2 to 1/4 of a mm below the rubber, but perfectly straight all the way round.

No, no tilted screen, its exactly the same all the way around, totally flush with the rubber.
Mine has this flaw, but it this so minor that I had never noticed it. I suggest get over it, it's not a big deal.

Absolutely the same as you described it in the first post.

worn out edges

I've noticed that the corners of my n1 are black and appear to be worn out as if the case it's in or possibly pants pocket has rubbed against it too much and worn out the soft part of the bottom corners.
Has this happened to anyone else or do I need new pants?

I pretty much always carry my phone in the included neoprene sleeve and haven't had such an issue. Can you post pics?
What case are you using?

OP is complaining about black and worn out corners.
The skin will protect the corners.
How was that not obvious?

I also have the same problem, i got black marks on the lower corners.
Can you suggest a way to clean it?
Thanks
I've tried just smudging/rubbing it but it seems pretty stubborn and I don't want to damage it further if it is actually wearing out.
I'll try to get a pic, they don't turn out well because of the colours (grey on grey)

Not exactly, but someone on the Google Android Help forum stuck an invisible shield type thing on his, and the spots transferred to that when it was removed.
i've put a little rubbing alcohol on a handkerchief. that works ok...

Scratches on Aluminium Rim (Front)

Hi Guys
What way would be best to remove scratches of the metal rim? Sandpaper? Aluminium Polish?
Any advice appreciated
FKO...
I haven't got any scratches yet but if or when I do I'll use autosol with a cotton bud
I removed mine with a nail buffer. Just be careful & tape over the surrounding surfaces.

Autosol? But that (maybe) will get off because of you hold the phone daily and sometimes the phone overheats then the polish will come off easily
Just want to know what's your experience with autosol because I just sick of the scratches on my Note 4 and I want to try it.
Thanks!

Thanks folks, will check out the autosol
May also look at the other one.

Ringke slim case will keep metal in perfect condition without adding bulk to a device.
