S7 Slim NEW ROM Finally

Finally there is one more rom for our s7 slim users . Its not to much but it is really good mod. I've just install it and it seems to be good. Bigger fonts very fast but you need to change the language when you install it. Name of the mod is zmey its downloaded from belarus forum, everything you need is on android tablets . net, just go to huawei ideos s7 slim technical section and six post in line name "New Rom--Simlified Edition of Zmey Mod from Belarus!"I'm a new so i can't post any links. So install and enjoy.

Can you tell me please which version of android zmey mod is based on ? Froyo ? gingerbread ? honeycomb ?

on trizet mod (it's froyo + some patch + rebuild kernel for support ext4)

Can you post some ss ? What are pluses and minuses of this rom ?

Nice rom only wish there was a built in email client for exchange in there as well as the default dialer and sms application. except for that its pretty fast

There has been little development on the S7 slim. I just wish developers would get us more ROMs we just have two: even if we had to pay for it

To anyone who has tried this rom, will it improve 3d games at all? How would I revert to stock ifit does not meet expectation? More to the point, I bought my s7 slim in the Uk, does anyone know how to obtain a stock rom?

Can someone please upload and post a mirror cause ii can`t download from original site. Lets share ppl

Check out cyanogen forums guys. There is an unnoficial cm7 rom being developed for the Slim by users. Any developers would be highly welcome to help finish it

Could you please be a little more specific on the ROM at CyanogenMod forums please?
I have searched for it but cannot find anything for the S7 Slim except a few people asking for a ROM.

and there is another MOD SATECS'S "PIRATE2.0". I never try it though...

I just made pirate 2.5.5 boot on s7-104 first wiped out the system entirely then installed pirate 2.5.5 from recovery.
Warning the system will not boot now But if you pull battery then Hold Volume + and Power it will go to Fastboot.
You will then need the boot.img from belarus Cyanogenmod 7 port
then type fastboot erase boot
fastboost flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
My tablet just reloaded with Pirate 2.5.5 and Cyanogenmod Settings in the settings so far only camera not working everything else is so bit more fiddling try find a workaround for the camera

Is there any way to restore default dialer and calendar ?

I restore them using titanium backup. But those backup files came from the trizet ROM which I used earlier.
Anyway I can send them to you if you want.

i like zmey mod. it's fast and smooth.. but the only problem ive encountered is i can't download a file using the default browser or even the dolphin browser.. opera mini.. etc..
anybody know how to fix this?

i accidentally updated to kikat but now i would like to downgrade so i really need the the download link of official ROM for lenovo tab A3500-hv. i have searched pretty much but found nothing. i hope somebody here can help me. here is the detailed ROM that im looking after:
android version :4.2.2 (or if compatible 4.3)
build : A3500hv_a422-01-22-140402_SA
kernel:3.4.
i dont know why lenovo website doesn't include their official firmware to flash.
i really need to find this rom to flash my device.
please help me if somebody has information.

hi, here's Official ROM Link. regarding Build/Version i'm not sure, in case it will work fine or not but as for me, i flashed Huawei ascend y511-u30 with stock ROM/Firmware of different build number than mine & it worked fine.

restart to your recovery mode and see what language you will see there and feedback here.
i wanna check that what CN stands for.

An advice, make Full Backup of current ROM/Firmware before doing anything with device you are willing/thinking to try.
I'm using Huawei Ascend y511. so can't do that, but i believe "CN" stands for Chinese and "EN" sure for English. regarding recovery language, for me i get two different modes, recovery and factory setting i believe. Stock recovery for my mobile is in English and the other is Chinese. But, in case you get chinese recovery, i think it can be replaced with "Custom Recovery (English)".
Once Stock/Custom ROM is installed/flashed, you sure can change language option to English or Chinese as mentioned about ROM languages (Not for recovery).
Point is that; once ROM is installed/flashed & you are satisfied with it and you also got backup of current Kitkat ROM and you find recovery is in CN. You can restore ROM to Kitkat or in case you don't care about warranty and can flash/install Custom recovery(English language) without going into CN recovery. then i think it shouldn't be a problem.

Dual Boot for Lenovo A6000/plus?

Hey xda developers I wanted to ask a question
Recently, I downloaded an app named BootManager (root) on my Lenovo A6000 plus. In simple terms, It's an application which helps us to save multiple roms on our device. It basically helps us to switch between those roms and eliminates the hassle of flashing roms again and again. So I installed the app and opened it. A window popped up, telling me that my device is unsupported and I will have to enter the data manually. The next page was a form which I didn't understand anything about. Any clues as in what could the values be? I am running Mokee custom Rom on my Lenovo A6000 plus (5.1.1)

I never updated it ,
Now , I want
1.Make a Complete Recoverable Backup of my Current OS (2.3.4)
backup my original firmware , and stock OS . So that if in future i want to go back to it , i can just use that to go back . (i hope i am able to make you guys understand)
As far as my knowledge goes , i should need TWRP Recovery , or CWM Recovery or something similar . Correct me if i am wrong .
2.Unlock the Boot-loader and Root it.
3.Install Last Officially available update , Manually and Try it out
Which is the last officially updated version available ?
4.If i Like it then OK , if not then
i will Install other Custom ROMs or CM13
Q1. i heard that Many Custom ROMs dont have FM and Camera Functions ?
Which Custom ROM has all the functionality as the Stock One ?
and is based on most updated version of android ?
5.KERNEL.
I just CANT understand this one , please help me understand it
Does any of the above need the kernel to be replaced ? by some other kernel ?

I (still) own three of these phones: one MT11 and two MT15 models. They were good cheap phones. Sony is my favourite. Highly customizable. The dedicated forums are still available I think. The problem is that these phones don't have the ability to run modern applications. All the developers have moved on. If you don't need it as a daily use phone, it would be good to use it as a learning tool for flashing roms and skinning it. It takes a lot of time to read through all the posts. But the info is all there. Maybe someone will answer your questions sooner or later. Good luck with it.

U jst need to unlock ur bootloader and flash a custom kernel with recovey and flash ur desired rom ( there r some good one life miui v5 etc and aosp developement was prety good too at its time)
If u can manage to find the ftf files of orignal stock roms 2.3 & 4.04 u dont need to worry about any backup u can always roll backup to stock.
As far as my opinion go 2.3 is the best rom with good backup and smooth os battery suks on other roms.

Currently my main problem is that the PC cant recognize the Mobile (Xperia Neo V)
the drivers that automatially got installed never gets installed without error and i still cant find out the reason , after a few tries now the dialogue box of installing drivers does not appear at all ,and the PC cant recognize my phone ,
Where can i get the best working drivers for Neo V ? (MT11i) ?
If any one of you have it please give a working set of drivers for PC Smartphone connectivity

the PC Companion that comes with the phone and gets installed when connected is

There should be a drivers folder in the flashtool folder. Give THIS thread a read too as you're trying to run before you've even learned to walk.

Yoga Smart Tab

Hello,
So I got a Lenovo Smart Tab (yt-x703f) and really want to flash TWRP to it, so I can flash LineageOS rom, but it seems like there's no support for it, or even a subthread on XDA.
(I tried various twrp images)
Anyone got some experience with that tablet and have something working?

For some reason this device gets the silent treatment on all fora. I can't figure out why, this could be a great multimedia device with some adjustments. batt life is great as is the sound. Screen is ok ish and the speed needs to be tweaked, but no one is willing to tweak

You can root the device and even flash a GSI on it. Tested myself and everything is working

Not sure if we are talking about the same device but lenovo does not support their mid tier devices with OS updates and would like to install a bloatless OS also pie is really dated and wondering if i will run in to issues with app compatibility. There is also that issue where it won't run HD in netflix because netflix is a static app and can not be removed and reinstalled. Hence bloatware and would love a clean google experience.

Flashing a GSI might help if the device supports Project Treble. Basically any device launched with Android 8 and above should support Project Treble.

And if you can find experiences on how anything works (which is GSI). Thanks in advance.
