Hey guys, I am considering buying a Pioneer App Radio 3. I have a rooted verizon s5 that I have yet to install a custom rom on, but am looking for some advice on this radio.
1.) Is it possible to use full screen mirroring without a cord?
2.) I read I need to change from enforcing to permissive in order for the touch scrren on the radio to work. Is this possible on my model? (9000v kit kat 4.4.2)
Thanks guys!
no.. not possible since we have a locked BL and cant install a permissive enabled kernel

Hi there,
I have the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 (with official KitKat 4.4.2) and I failed to detect NFC tags with display off / locked.
I tried the Modaco.Toolbox over Xposed framework, but does nothing.
Alternatively, do you know any unofficial ROM to do it? Maybe Cyanogen.Mod 11? I'm not sure it does.
Another question,
Do you know how to turn off the camera sound?

Righ folks my partner has the S5 Active and loves it... It's rooted but has stock 5.0.0..
But is wanting up date her rom to something a little newer..
So quite simply really..
1) anyone managed to get a recovery flashed on to th S5 active?
2) any custom or NEWER roms available
and
3)Anyone manage to get exposed mod working on the S5 Active?
I have a S5 Active G870a on AT&T which I need to replace due to cracked glass and a flaky charging port. No SD card or root are deal breakers, so I think I am going to stay with the S5 Active. While pricing, I found the G870f variant and have a couple of questions about it...
1. Is the bootloader unlocked on the G870f?
1a. If so, does that mean it can go with TWRP w/o safestrap?
2. Most ROMs specifically point to G870a, are there any issues with using them on G870f (with, maybe, an additional kernel flash)?
3. Is anyone using the G870f on AT&T? Any issues or thoughts?
Thank you very kindly.
Sorry that I can't answer most of your questions, but I have an G870F rooted and with the TWRP recovery installed (Intended for the S5). I'd be happy to know if I'd be able to use mods intended for the AT&T phone, as well. And what wouöd happen if I installed the cyanogen mod for S5..
Hi all,
I've got a LDU (Live Demo Unit) of an S6 EDGE. I want to ROOT it and install a STOCK ROM onto it so I can use it (Apart from making calls etc but they don't come with antennas. What's the process to root and install a stock rom onto this device?
I've done this on previous android phones but never a Galaxy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
I have a live demo unit also and have no issue getting normal ota updates that regular devices get. (At&t)
How do you disable the demo mode and remove the pre installed apps?
Hello XDA,
I haven't been on the forum for quite some time and i have a question.
I knew from a year or more ago that developers haven't found a way yet to enable nfc on custom roms for this phone model.
I got the Canadian Galaxy Note 3 (N900W8) with a custom rom installed. (Currently using Broken-v3.9 rom running android 5.1.1)
I was wondering if in the mean time they've found a way to get NFC working again for my phone.
I don't want to use the official software, i just want to get NFC working on a custom rom.
Have they found a way yet?
Thanks in advance!

I just wanted to say, I've had the same question. Even android pay doesn't work for me, I read somewhere they don't want to allow it for rooted phones.
