Hello guys,
A week ago I did a upgrading to Android kitkat on galaxy S4 i9500 automatically from the phone. However after the upgrade it kept giving me error message and yesterday it went into a bootloop with no access to Recovery mode nor download mode.
I thought it had a problem with up and down volume buttons but they were working fine before.
Also, I can get to the first page of download mode but I cant access it by holding on the up button.
I took it to some people and they were unable to flash it with odin as it doesnt access download mode at all :/
Is my phone dead ?

Hey guys
My S5 g900f has been updated to marshmallow recently, and now whenever i try to get in the download mode the phone get stuck on the "Downloading... do not turn off target!!" untill i start it normally !
Any help ?
Thank you
that's what it really show when you go in download mode. i don't see wrong with that.
That's the function of the download mode. Everything is fine with your phone
Hi, I have a Galaxy S4 I9500 and I'm using GEAR CM13
The ROM was working fine until a while ago, but now suddenly there's a bootloop. Last thing I remember doing was accidentally holding the power button a bit long (while trying to lock the phone) so the power off/reboot menu came up and and then I tried to exit from it, but the menu didn't go away and the phone entered into a boot loop
Now, the Samsung i9500 logo just keeps flashing every 5 seconds. I'm unable to enter into recovery mode. I can enter download mode but it just exits out of that after 5 seconds and starts flashing i9500 logo again. I read about a hack to remove battery as soon as I enter download mode and it worked. It stays on download mode now. ODIN recognizes the device. What can I do using ODIN to fix the bootloop? Is there any ODIN flashable zip? I'm on the latest [20160711] build. I have important data in my device. Please help me recover it
I know I can reflash stock ROM and from there, reflash GearCM13 but I do not want to lose data as much as possible. I'm trying for fixes which do not wipe my data partition. I will go ahead with the standard method if I do not find a fix to recover from bootloop without losing data.
Hi,
I would suspect the power button first (probably stuck). Some hits to the power button using a solid, hard surface will help.

Hi all, long time lurker first time poster.
I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900I) and decided to root it.
Stupidly, I forgot to enable USB debugging before booting into Download Mode and attempting to root via Odin. Now the phone will half boot into recovery then get stuck (stops after displaying "Set Warranty Bit : recovery").
However, if I take the battery out for 5 minutes, then try and boot into Download Mode (Volume down, home, power), it successfully enters DL Mode, and connects with Odin. I get the same issue though, it gets stuck in recovery when it reboots.
Any ideas? I've spent a while searching but come up with nothing.
Ok now I feel really stupid, I tried installing CWM and that fixed it I'll leave this post up in case others have the same problem. Thanks!
My phone worked pretty good for the past week after rooting and installing the adaptable storage but today all of a sudden it just turned off and when i turned it back on it kept getting stuck at the metro pcs logo. It takes longer than usual to get to the logo as well. Before this happened I set up a ps3 controller using sixaxis pair tool and I also froze the bluetooth share (i think that's what it's called) in titanium backup., not sure if any of those caused it but can someone help me get my phone running again :crying: ?
Also i can get into the twrp recovery mode and download mode if that means anything.

Did you ever get this fixed? Did you back up your Rom once you put twrp on there? Maybe just doing a factory reset might help, or reflashing the firmware in either twrp or Odin in download mode.
so 2 days ago i tried installing xposed via app without doing the twrp thing. the installation succeeded but i ran into some problems after booting, i kept getting "lg swithch stopped working" and i needed to unistall the app through kingroot to make the error go away.
the phone ran normally till i rebooted, after rebooting it got stuck on the play boot animation (because i have it in play) and to launch it i needed to turn it via factory reset.
the phone ran slow.
i tried going back to stock firmware through lg flash tool 2014 and using the D72220e_00.kdz and D72210e_00.kdz but it would fail.
also, when i went into download mode it wouldnt show normal download mode like in all those videos, it showed that:

Press the volume up key until you see the download screen...
pls help me..
