Flash gone wrong, How to Undo? - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know this might be a noob question but im a noob xD Well i flashed my Note with sweet rom and now there seems to be a lot of problems so i want to get back to stock. How should i continue? Anyone that could link a guide or give me some steps? Would be extremely appreciated

1-Download your stock rom from sammmobile or samsung-updates.
2- boot your phone into recovery and wipe everything.
3- boot into download mode and flash stock rom via odin.

So im browsing through firmwares for the 910H and there are A LOT of different versions for different countries, how do i know which one to choose?

Go here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/checker/
Than put in your phone model and the country, it will give you the correct firmware

It doesn't really matter unless you want some specific languages. For Swedish I would use a European ROM. English is included in all of them.

The 910H wasn't intended for Europe so there's not going to be any Swedish or European firmware available

[Q] About Stock Firmware...

Hi everybody!
As you can see, I'm new to this forum. I apologize in advance if my english is bad, I'll try to explain my doubt.
My question is the following:
I have this tab from a week or so, already rooted, with CWM and Mobile Odin. The stock firmware is TGY, so it's of Hong Kong.
Is it possible to flash with Mobile Odin a european firmware on the device or this will cause problems to the tab?
I've searched for this in the forum already, maybe I have not used the right key words, but I haven't found the answer to this.
Thanks in advance!

Just read my sticky thread -> post 5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21930173 there is also a short history
But basically you can flash every official released Firmware for this device.

Ok, so from what I've read, if I want to completely change the csc I have to flash the firmware with the csc I want and then enter recovery after a factory reset. It should automatically starts an update and it will ask me to confirm to change the csc into the one of the flashed firmware.
If I don't mind of Kies (which is my case ), I just flash the european firmware over the one I have now. I've read that you wanted to change your csc in ATO and at the beginning you simply flashed the austrian firmware over the TGY one and apart for the Kies autentication problem, you didn't have any other troubles.
Correct me if I am wrong, anyway I've thanked you for your reply. I ask you this because I know the basics for flashing and so, but I still consider me a newbie and I don't want to brick my beloved device with wrong country firmwares.

One of Value Packs has given for Germany offically via Kies.Codename;
PDA:XWJW6
PHONE:XWJW1
CSC: DBTJW2
I suggest you to flash a rom that has 4 files(pit, pda, phone, csc) then flash this rom.For example JVQ,JVT has 4 files..
Then flash this one..
BUT
You can also flash 2.3.3 XWJVI Germany Firmware then get the latest update(which i mentioned,XWJW6) via KIES! I recommend this...
Link to XWJVI 2.3.3 http://www.hotfile.com/dl/170176790/b37f813/I9000XWJVI_I9000DBTJV2_DBT.zip.html
Link to XWJW6(if you don't want all of i told you, just flash it manually from Odin..But if you're coming from Froyo/JB/ICS,don't flash this directly.First flash a 4 file'd rom)
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/171749160/8c0ab80/I9000XWJW6_I9000DBTJW2_DBT.zip.html
Hit thanks if i helped you

Opps sorry my bad! Facepalm
Anyway i even recommend that setup now I'm using like that . JVI,then got the JW6 from kies
Dear OP ;
Anyway the short answer for you,Latest firmware for Netherlands is XWJW5 which is secondary Value Pack link below ;
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/153787914/fc690f7/I9000XWJW5_I9000XENJV6_XEN.zip.html
Flash it from Odin 1.7 or newer version.Just extract the .tar formatted file from zip and put it to PDA in Odin then flash it with NO re-partition Just like rooting you know that
But still take my advices in second post.If you're on custom rom, don't flash a one file GB rom.Flash something like JVQ/JVU or whatever firmware you want just BE SURE that it has 4 files...
If you're already on a GB then, flash directly just like rootiing
Cheers

But the perfect answer for me! I was looking for the German stock ROMs. I managed to over-write the Deutsche Telekom ROM with a Korean one this time last year. It's been behaving perfectly up until the past couple of weeks, so I think it is time for a refresh.
I guess that I'll be back into the DT system after I flash, will I?

How to use Odin see this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1372414.
Samsung oficial firmware see www.sammobile.com/firmware, you have to register first before you can download!
After this you are full stock if you flash the rom of your country/region and you will receive all OTA`s again.
hi all. I will be thankful if u can help me.

Its not as hard as it seems to use Odin:
1. Close Kies, also in windows task manager!
2. Enable usb debugging on the phone.
3. Open Odin 3.04 as administrator
4. Place the downloaded rom that is unzipped ONCE and shows a .md5 file in PDA
5. Phone in downloadmode (after you used to reset the flash counter with Triangle Away)
6. Connect the phone with usb to Odin (IDCOM should light up and show a com number)
7. Press start and flash the rom.
Reboot and data factory reset in settings/accounts/reset
Done
Best answer.. easy to understand.. thanksss

BTW sir,.. i cant find any model of Samsung galaxy s4 GTi9505
can u help me to find th original firmwares?
You can try this rom with odin
http://samsung-updates.com/details/12205/Galaxy_S_4_Snapdragon/GT-I9505/XEF/I9505XXUBMGA.html
it's the last official rom from France. the only issue if it's not the right region code for your country is to had just issue with carrier network
why i choose the link from france ? cauz no specific region code for turkey and france is close to france (in geographical situation).
but if you remind the region code of your first stock rom i can try to find a link for the it
this is the easiest way to unroot and go back to stock and official galaxy s4 with TW.
follow this simple guide .

No you don't need root to install it, you need a recovery mode like CWM or TWRP (hope that's the name). If you're from the region where the official update is available ota, no you don't need root or costume recovery, you can update via Kies. If you will flash the ROM from sammobile site via recovery (ex. CWM) and you have root, you will lose it becouse that's the official ROM from Samsung and it's not already rooted, but you can reroot , your device. Look in to the Android Development category to finde out more about rooting and flashing ROMs or Kernels. I recommend you to read more about rooting and flashing ROMs becouse you can brick your device easily, so take care.

Did you successfully flash another country's firmware? As I'm not using Kies, I'm not even sure which country it comes from! I'm a little worried about baseband being different in different countries.
Came across this, which suggests it might not work in the first place: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53721117&postcount=5
I flashed with odin a firmware for g900h from south africa that looked to me it had kinda same csc letters. Worked fine and now i have latest software for my phone. Kies recognise it also. All ok. No problem with modem or basebands or anything. My phone is carrier free so unlocked.

My S5 is also THR, so I looked-up sammobile for firmwares with PDA:NCI, PHONE: NCI and CSC: NCH.
Found Irak and Egypt to match those and both have the NE2 update available. Not sure I'll proceed with this considering some users reported bricked device and had to find the appropriate firmware. What if there are none for this country?
I wonder where to get the original thr firmware also. I flashed as i mentioned and all working great

Flashed MID country, but no unlock setting for s-view case. Not sure I had this option before though? Don't have the s-view case either, maybe that option shows up when the case is there?

Too late but maybe this is a help for other persons, You can flash: THR, ACR,MID,XSG,PAK,EGY,XFA,AFG,TMC,TUN ; All this firmwares are the same. Install "Phone Info app" to see the codes that you can flash. For Lollipop I have flashed Panama (TPA) and works ok.
